Never spent time in J Ave (I had no reason to resort to shoring hookers in Cebu in my experience (plenty of "regular" girls around), and its hard to weed them out) but from my sense of it from the area and multitude of descriptions i've read, I'd guess that ZZYZX Club, in Malate, would probably be a similar experience. Quite easy place to pull, full of working girls too, though, and you'll have to do the sorting. I believe the address is Remedios Circle, and there are several other clubs in the immediate vicinity.

If you are considering an LTR with a girl, or to buy a house or land for her, then it's not a bad idea to do a background check or something like it, especially if you are traveling a lot.

I think that lots of people overestimate their reading abilities, or misjudge the character of the women in their lives. And getting a 2nd opinion or a confirmation can be a good idea. If the girl is low quality, then obviously don't bother...

Actually, I am not going to pursue the private detective idea at this time. It does bother me a little to think about a detective following some girl I'm dating. I'm actually actively looking for an L.T.R, over the next 2 to 3 years, and I am traveling to various places all over the world. I am also throwing around some ideas on how to effectively do it. I probably will take a read through the wife hunting thread, but I'm not in any rush, since I'm having a great time out here being single! If your ticket is one-way to the Philippines you will need to show you have an onward ticket before you even board the plane. That onward ticket needs to depart within 30 days after arrival?? Not sure of the timeline.

Some have suggested you buy one on Orbitz or something and then cancel it after you touchdown.

Or you can buy a cheap/burner ticket directly from Cebu Pacific for around $50 or maybe less.

What the hell does the word "fun" mean in Filipino English?

I had the following exchanges tonight with two different Filipinas:

Me: Did you have fun at the party?
Her: No. No fun. I just danced all night.

Me: that movie looks like fun (Gods of Egypt)
Her: No, it's not fun. I really want to see it can you take me?

The first one seemed to think by "fun" I meant "sex" and wanted to tell me no, she didn't hook up at the party. But it's a very two-dimensional mindset, assuming that I straight up meant "sex". And the second - why so definite that a cheesy movie like that is not "fun"? Seems like they just don't use the word the same way we do.
