I am sorry for coming off as a troll, I didn't mean that. But some of you are way exaggerating the desirability of Asian men in general When I was in Taiwan, I met with two girls who had boyfriends from Tinder, both had local Taiwani boyfriends but were looking for side dick.
Just because Asian men roll with hotter women does not mean they are the most desirable in Asia, chances are they are paying for it. There are a lot of gentleman clubs in Thailand for example that only serve Japanaese customers.
And I never said they were the most undesirable, I said they are a notch above Indians. If we modify the SMV ladder for Asia, they are also above Blacks, because there is blatant racism against Black people in Asia.

Regarding hunting for a one night stand, an average Asian who is 5"6 will perform worse than an average farang who is 5"10 in a club . I stand by my analysis, I could bet money on this If I could.

So if we modify the SMV ladder for Asia we can say.

1. Northern European men.
2. Western men
3. Southern European
4. Middle eastern-Latino
5. Asian
6. Black
7. Indian

In the anglosphere southern european would be above western, but in Asia they are obsessed with white skin so the rules of the game change. Now everyone of you know that Asian women are obsessed with two things, one is whiteness of the skin, the other is height. It is that simple. If we talk about pulling without money the wealth of the indivudual being involved, then my SMV ladder is the most valid one.

Regarding Arab guys being very undesirable, yes that holds true, you are right. But they are still above asians in the SMV ladder, because most north african middle eastern men can pass off as Greeks and Turks. If Roosh went to SEA, he would have no trouble pulling tail, him being Persian won't limit his success one bit. He can always say he is Armenian, Israeli etc.
Asian women are not turned off by the looks factor of middle eastern, they are turned off by the cultural factors.

Dude, if you're not a troll then you're definitely missing the point here, all the examples stated by the gents here are all Asian men who got their chicks by gaming them. Not a single one mentioned any p2p. Going to Taiwan and meeting two taiwanese girls who want white dick doesn't prove your point because which part of TAIWANESE GIRLS dating TAIWANESE GUYS is weird in TAIWAN? The only point you could have remotely raised would be that Taiwan would be a place that guys could attempt to game girls with boyfriends as there is still a chance they might give. It doesn't prove that Asian girls prefer white men in general.

We're not even saying that Korean men are ALL doing better than white men in Asia but the fact is that due to cultural factors and the Korean Wave, it is indeed fact that many other Asian countries have seen an increase in positive views of Koreans which have been seen and reported by people on this forum. To refute all of that by simply disregarding it as p2p is the greatest irony of them all. May I remind you the greatest stereotype white men face for visiting Thailand?

I know Korean people are held in high regard in South East Asia. I'm not trying to disprove that. But if we base everything on averages, and not outliers you will see my point is valid.

You could have a 6 foot tall korean guy, who has a baby face, and he would be killing it. He would probably do better than the farang, but he is an outlier. Very few Asians are above 6 ft. When you try to prove a scientific point you have to take averages, not outliers. Regarding your stereotype of Whites being p4p, it unfortunately is true. But a good portion of tourists who visit Thailand unfortunately come for p4p, race doesn't play a factor.
Anyway I would like to end the discussion here, don't want to derail this wonderful topic . If you like to discuss this via PM, I'm always available.

I do agree that, overall, East Asians do better overall in SEA. Then again, it's not such a simple equation.

A few points:

1. It's true that Koreans and Japanese are paying more often than not. This is simply part of their home cultures. P4P is not shamed to the extent that it is in the West. It's also pretty normal in Japan to spoil girls by taking them shopping and showering them in gifts. Is this P4P? Your call. That said, there are certainly plenty of Caucasian sexpats playing this game too.

2. I would guess that well-put together Caucasians still score the most pussy quantity-wise (go to any major foreigner club in SEA and observe), but Koreans and Japanese tend to be pickier and insist on higher quality. I think that Asian men demand higher standards as a matter of course. This becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I too would love to see my fellow (white) foreigners raise their game, but the thirst is unfortunately still rather strong even when in paradise.

3. There is the genuine issue of differing tastes too. Caucasians do actually prefer tanned skin. This is observable fact. Many black guys prefer thicker girls. Again, that is just a fact. We're not always competing for the same chicks.

I have quite similar tastes to East Asian guys, although with more flexibility. As an anecdote, a few lighter-skinned girls have remarked to me that "You are the first white guy that likes me. Usually it's only Japanese/Korean guys that talk to me." To be fair, this shows that there is still plenty of room for Caucasians to pull these types if they so desire.

4. The FOB white guys are usually blinded for the first 6-12 months in the country, meaning that they see most Asians as "looking the same". A few years on the ground changes that impression, but the majority will never stay that long.

And one more point. You guys are getting slightly carried away saying that farang/kano rarely score 7s. I was out with a group of commendable gents only last week and at least five of us took home girls of that caliber. I've seen elderly white men with 7s in the Philippines.

More accurate would be to say that white guys are rarely seen with 8s and almost never with 9s. But neither are other Asian foreigners for the most part. Those girls are firmly reserved for the local rich boys.

Dreambig I think its a ratings difference. There's always going to be a mismatch. So to clear this up once and for all, and since I am in a zombie mode this is to give you a general sense of what I am rating local girls at:

This is a 7 for a local: https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...5841_o.jpg
https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...7610_o.jpg
https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...3842_o.jpg

I'm content getting side action from 2-3 of these type of caliber woman, much better then chasing numbers. So far I'm striking out.

Pale, thin, not 5 foot. Keep in mind 7's mean "hot" and there aren't a whole lot of 7's to begin with. Not only that vast majority of 7's DO NOT go out the nightlife. If you start lurking through all the pictures of Valkyrie, you'll be shocked on the lack of talent for such a "high end" night club compared to lets say Taiwan.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...5384_o.jpg - Pretty much your average crowd. Pretty bad.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...7507_o.jpg - A 5 face, but some western guys may put that as a 7, most probably a 6.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...0607_o.jpg - Girl on the far right, definitely a 7 face and body, but tanned skin, so minus one in the eyes of local men. If this is your type, its going to be a PUSSY HEAVEN here.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...6172_o.jpg - Hard to tell with all these flashes and post editing, but another typical filipino look. All 0's for me except for the one on the left which passes the boner test. I'd put 5,3,5.5,3 if they are dark, +1 if they have light skin.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...6845_o.jpg - 4, 5 if its not fat under her shirt

One thing you'll notice is the fact that the facial structure of pinays are pretty poor genetics wise, in contrast to the "far east look". https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...8577_o.jpg Oddly shaped and deformed.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...7880_o.jpg - Rising problem of obesity, not as bad as US, but compared to eastern asia these are all whales.

https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/t31.0-8/12711052_555559664604397_7074315451184268981_o.jpg - Both Western 7. Asian 5.
https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...5099_o.jpg
Can we all agree on that? Helpful to establish a baseline other forum members can use when planning for their next trip.

I'll let you chase with this: https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...6188_o.jpg - Even if he is sponsoring, try pulling this off anywhere in the west.

And this sums up how addicted hamsters are to validation: https://z-1-scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...5067_o.jpg

The level of poverty in Manila astounded me. Often times people make comparisons between Bangkok and Manila, however Bangkok has less poverty than most Central European cities and Manila is on par with Dhakar in Bangladesh. Even worse than Jakarta.

The Phillipines is a feudal state. It makes Thailand look egalitarian even though it is far from that. Rather than trickling down their vast mountains of wealth to the poverty stricken, the feudal lords disenfranchise the masses with expensive goods (Everything in the phillipines except alcohol is more than Thailand despite the average Thai earning far more), over priced utilities, squalor accommodation and overall serdfom (despite being a growing economy, unskilled workers need to line up every day looking for someone to come by on a truck like their illegal migrants or it's a depression). These feudal lords ship around their valuable goods in Tanks and quash any uprising with public gun violence. It's a really fucked up country.

Same goes for the Telstra Fibre deal going south before, the same 3-5 families own pretty much all of the country's infrastructure and rather than improving connectivity for the majority of its population, they've used their political connection to keep their scam going without actually offering any improvement.

A major difference is also rate of land ownership of the average citizen in both countries. Most Thais i've met (even those that you would call below middle class) have family plots of land somewhere. A lot of them are choosing to work in the big city because they can obviously make more but if and when times get tough they can just go back up country and subsist on family land and crops. A lot of thais grow rice on their land and have enough vegetables and chickens to live on. The Thais who actually put effort in their upcountry plots are almost completely self sufficient on top of that. I have a Thai friend whose family has fish ponds, chickens, pigs, frogs, and a lot of rai of good farmable land. They have extended relatives who work the land because they are Bangkok Thais and the relatives pretty much eat for free and sell the surplus. They don't even buy food anymore.

Most of them also have family members who still live up country and will let them stay for as long as they want. Not all families do things with their land but Thai people have many more options when things get rough.

I've also never seen large numbers of starving impoverished kids anywhere in Thailand. On the other hand I have seen this right in Manila plenty of times. You know when kids are really malnourished by the way they look and aren't bullshitting it.

In the Philippines most of the arable decent land is owned by vast family plantations. On every island it's the same story..you have extremely rich and powerful families with legacy ratfucking the people. They control the land and basically create a situation where the people who used to own the land are cheated out of it and are paid subsistence level wages to maintain what they used to own. Then the wealthy plantation owners throw up gates, pay off all political and law enforcement, and hire mercenaries to keep what they stole indefinitely.

Land is power in most of asia. The more you amass and the more things you can do with it the more powerful you are. It's almost inextricably linked.

Putin, I'm not getting your point. Just because many foreigners slum it, doesn't make it some kind of universal rule. Also, trying to make out that "locals think X" is a losing game. I've sat around with Asian guys talking about girls on many occasions. They can never agree on ratings either. There's no need to be so rigid about it.

It's a very sad situation indeed.

Because these families, feudal lords if you will, are so deep in cahootz with the governing authorities, they have essentially stunted the growth of the Phillipines.

I read an article not too long ago that the Phillipines does not compete with Thailand economically, it eventually won't even compete with the economies of Vietnam or Cambodia. It will be the last third world country in South East Asia.

All of those aforementioned countries are corrupt as hell. It's the the fact that the Phillipines has a colonial mindset. The very few rich are bleeding the country dry through 18th century exploitation methods. A Shinawatra or Hun Sen type government would be a welcome change to the country, that's how fucked they are.

The worst basket case countries in SEA are probably Myanmar (although rapidly getting better), Indonesia, and the Philippines. The Philippines is the sick man of SEA but..all these countries have significant long term problems. Cambodia has severe issues too and the poverty there is still crippling especially in the countryside. Hun Sen is actively mortgaging off entire parts of the country for his own benefit. However Cambodia's relationship with China might actually benefit it in the long run.

Indonesia is also extremely fucked up. Overpopulated dense poverty, poor infrastructure, functionally retarded ruling class, and there's a backward religious element to their country that also stunts development.

Singapore owns an investment balance that's worth their entire GDP in offshore assets when Suhuarto's minions all fled to Singapore because the muslim ruling party in Indonesia decided it would be a good idea to start up a pogrom on the business class Chinese.

So yeah..when you're talking about "worst" country it's sometimes a race to the bottom. Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and of course Singapore are the superstars of that region.

That's also another point. A majority of wealthy Filipinos own guns and know how to shoot. (They damn near have to, in order to protect their lifestyle from the masses.)

The power disparity is so great that they cannot possibly feel safe.

Legally owning firearms here is a privileged reserved only for the elite classes - and it makes sense - to keep the power disparity in line. There's no way for a lower class person to legally get a firearm here, even if they have enough money to buy it.

When I'm riding around in my car in the USA, I do not feel hatred when someone pulls past me in a Lamborghini.

If I was surrounded by millions of people who barely needed an extra American dollar to survive the day and someone pulled past me in a Lamborghini, I'd feel differently.

As a long time visitor here, when I spend my money here, I do feel as if I'm exploiting these people because of the economic power disparity, and it's not a good feeling. I feel like I'm supporting the system that's holding them down and not helping fix the problem. (Kind of like a tourist taking a trip to North Korea)

The best I figure I can do as one foreigner is just not to be an asshole on top of all that. That's what the people expect, come here, smile, spend your money, give them respect, and go.

This is not my neighborhood and I'm not here to change anything. Plus those sort of changes get you deported and blacklisted as a foreigner or worse, assassinated if you're a local.

After three years here, I'd say that this is a great place to visit. Not so much a good place to live.
DVY 路 2016-02-16 02:55:00 路 #2987
Funny how that is. I've met the so-called feudal lords and most live so far away from all the squalor that if you didn't know any better- you'd assume they were one of us. They are decidedly normal...many raised w/Western educations. I've met people who owned the plantations, massive land owners, well educated bankers and lawyers, business people. Its not such a simple line. The poor rob each other constantly. The rich have no trust in the government or the common person.

Its a true tragedy of the commons. If somebody would just break the cycle, it would end in under 10-20 years. Unfortunately nobody will.

Another tragedy of Phils is that traffic is so bad that the rich and poor rarely mix. Its also a major productivity drain on the workforce and massive contributor to pollution. The isolation of the rich and poor is causing a huge gap that keeps growing bigger because of the "not in my backyard issue"/

Its one of those "Almost there, but not quite" countries that never seems to break from its trend.

Ayala family building the skyway is a start, but it will be catered to the wealthy and less towards the common person.

I have no real answers just spinning the wheel harder.

Comparing the Philippines to a country like Myanmar is apples and oranges.

The Philippines has a fairly strong education system, where English is a mandatory course. They have over 2 million citizens working abroad at any given time, not to mention the countless foreign born Filipinos who come back to the Philippines to study or live. Normal Philippines cable actually has more foreign and Western news stations than it does local news stations.

In other words, you have a very young, educated populace who is very connected to the outside world. That is a huge force for change, which is exactly why many countries seek to control it, whether it's the US or China.

This isn't just feel-good rhetoric.

There are roughly 2.3 million OFWs. Of those, 1.3 million are registered to vote. 600,000 have volunteered their support for Duterte, the anti-establishment presidential candidate.

That's not the number of people who like him. That's over 25% of the Filipinos who currently live abroad actively campaigning for one person.

Those statistics are just a microcosm of the larger picture, because everyone of those people is connected with a huge network of local Filipinos. The anti-establishment and anti-corruption sentiment in the Philippines is very similar to what we see in the US currently with the rise of Trump.

And if you successfully reign in the corruption in government and business, you have millions upon millions of Filipinos who worked, trained, studied, and lived in developed countries and speak multiple languages which would constitute a very strong workforce. Give those people opportunities within their own country and let them apply their training to bringing about more efficient business practices and you have the potential for rapid improvement.

There is extreme poverty in the Philippines. Job prospects even with a collage degree is very limited. People that work in the malls or factories typically just get enough pay to sustain their current living conditions, if they are lucky. Finding a job has more to do with connections than skill. Most people that wok in any industry (hotel, restaurants, malls) are contract people. Their contracts are renewed every six months so they do not get health insurance, SS or 13 months bonus. Bottom line is that the opportunity to get out of poverty is extremely stacked against the majority of the population. It is sad but one of the few options for getting good pay is for a girl to work in a girly bar. Its terrible, but thats just the way it is in the Philippines.

So, if you really want to see a boatload of 7-8's in a single place, go visit one of the high end girly bars e.g. Classmates, Pegasus, Heartbeat in Quezon City. A lot of these girls are a notch better looking than the ones in the pictures. Just drive by Timog at around 4am and you will spot tons of hot girls hailing taxis to go home from work.

Then you have the private clubs, usually by invite only. The majority are frequented by Chinese customers. The girls are all top notch and speak very good english/chinese. There are also private clubs that cater only to Koreans. If they do not know you, they will show you the low tier girls. In these high end clubs, you could easily pay a ton of bucks and the girls may not even go out with you after work. Once in a while, you can even spot a 9 but they don't last long. The 9's can quickly find sponsors. You will rarely see these girls in bars and clubs.

I didn't really notice it until Putin Closes mentioned it, but his description of what's average is accurate in my opinion. I wouldn't let that discourage anyone from going, though. Girls are everywhere, and the ones who are chubby, ugly, and whatever don't even register on your radar. I think many of them don't bother signing up for online dating sites/apps because they know they won't get much attention. It skews the perception of what's average.

There's such a huge selection of women, and they're very accessible. Even if you ignore the less attractive ones, you're still going to have a hard time responding to all the ones looking to meet up. I've stopped bothering with DIA and FC, or if I do it's only to give out my number in the first message to the best looking ones. I do Tinder and other apps whenever I have down time, and I still can't keep up with my matches. My biggest concern is trying to keep track of who I'm meeting when and trying to prevent schedule conflicts. It's easy to be more selective in this scenario, so what's average won't really matter if you're getting the upper half of the pile.

As far as changes, compared to a few years ago women seem a bit chubbier. Maybe it's the area I'm staying. I've heard a lot of people mention that Koreans are the new honorary kings in the dating scene. I've certainly seen a rise in Kpop culture here. My Taiwanese condo landlord has lived here 10 years and is close friends with many Japanese, Taiwanese, Koreans. According to him, they say the blue eyed blond haired foreigner is still the Pinay fantasy.

May be true, but honestly, I don't think it really matters. I see guys from all backgrounds doing well here. Things may be easier for some compared to others, but I get the impression that being educated, dressing well, and not being a pushover is enough to let you pull more than your fair share. There's an endless supply of young, friendly women, and they're very approachable. Worrying too much about averages and ethnic hierarchies may be a wasted emotion, and counterproductive.

I was curious about that. At G-Mall in Davao there was a gun shop. I have to imagine if it was so difficult to sell a gun then how could they afford the high monthly rent ($2/sqft).

These laws are only a few years old and the stores are losing tons of money. Many have closed as a result. But the owners have cash buffers and can wait out a regime change.

And a regime change is coming. Too many powerful people shoot here, and they're actively working to toss out the PNP Chief who came up with this idea. It is painful for them too.

Well said. Reading the stuff about the extreme poverty only makes me less excited for my trip and is just an all round bummer. We go there to have fun and bang hot chicks. There's nothing any of us can really do to solve that much poverty on such a massive scale. At least we're bringing some tourism bucks in. And if I see some properly malnourished kids I will take them shopping or something, for cheap, bulk supply, calorie dense foods. Other than that what can I or any of us do?

Endless supply of hot, young, friendly, approachable women?! Jeez, when will it stop? I'm not setting foot in that country until this grave problem is corrected.

It's a nice thought but not practical. There are good people and organisations that are helping poor people in the Philippines in an organised way. I'm looking into it, and I think giving a monthly contribution to an organisation or church you trust is a better way. It is tragic and heartbreaking to see the poverty and hear some of the stories.

When I go, and if the Phils is good to me (lots of hot, cute, brown skinned asians in my bed and who treat me like a God), then I would see it as my natural duty to make a contribution to feed malnutritioned kids in the country that gave me so much.

But the scale of the problem is something I can't escape, that's why it's depressing. You donate, sure, you help a few kids eat, but millions more still roam the streets begging for crumbs.

And how do you donate successfully in a country which is so corrupt? It all seems so futile hence my more "direct" idea...

Not sure what can be done besides small gestures of gratitude. Sometimes I give small amounts (~1-20 pesos) when someone helps fetch me a taxi or carries my luggage. The other day I was walking to the mall when an amputee asked for some money. Really, what can I do to help him out? I don't know. You never know how much of the money actually goes to the people. I guess you can buy from sari sari stores or small, local vendors whenever possible. It feels like a losing battle sometimes though. EDSA was a start.

Maybe it's just the city I'm in but every single day I go driving around and I see non-handsome Filipino and Korean men with absolute GODDESSES.

These girls are tall, thin, perfect faces, long legs some girls are Korean themselves while the rest are mixed-looking Pinays.

The other day i saw one such girl who had the biggest rack for a thin Asian. Absolute goddess. With the noobest looking Filipino. They were climbing out of the guys economy car. I was walking to my car in Sbux parking lot. She saw me and my girl and smirked as if i were trash. Then we climbed into my turbocharged two seater. The looks on their faces. If you guys had seen that girl, and the guy, you would have raged.

It's all about money here and being korean/Chinese, not white. Sad if you truly wanna slay here, and youre white, you need a really nice car, nice house, the whole deal. Girls I meet auto assume I am poor until I prove otherwise. Of course theyll tell you they dont care about money.

Few weeks ago, I was next to a trike in heavy traffic. And the trike had the most gorgeous girl with a Korean. Girl kept staring at me and had this look on her face like "What? I thought white guys didn't have money?"
