Last Wednesday I met up with Laner for afternoon drinks in Omotesando, on what had to be the finest day of 2015 for day drinking. He is exactly the man you would expect from reading his (superb) posts on the Forum. If you are wondering what he looks like, just conjure up an image of a Viking and you have the idea. He shows up with a very young, very tall, very hot-assed, and very sweet/girly Japanese chick that he had scooped up at the Shinjuku Isetan on the way to meet me. Well played, sir, well played. It was a long afternoon and night that took us deep into Shibuya...

Then Friday night, I met Laner and dreambig (another great poster and great human being -- I really regret not meeting this dude when he still lived here!) and my old friend MaleDefined for a night on the town that started in Akasaka, slid to Roppongi, and ended with MD/TJ sushi bar-hopping inside Tsukiji Market until 8am Saturday. I am hoping MD shares, in the Swoop thread, some reflections on Japan from his first-ever visit here.

As always, awesome and inspiring to meet you all.
