Something that has happened to me quite often:

When a girl is really into me (and we have been together a few months or more) she starts taking a keen interest in grooming my face.

I mean things like trimming my eyebrows, putting skin creams on me, pulling out the odd in-growing beard hair, and even popping a pimple/zit (spot) if I have any on my face.
They do this with real enthusiasm…like some exciting project.

I never understood this.
I mean, a girl's threshold for something being “disgusting” is much MUCH lower than a guys, so I don’t see how they can even get the stomach to do this.

Even back in my most pathetic beta (omega) days, and no matter how much “in love” I was with a girl, I never got even the slightest urge to say “Hey, I really want to trim your hair fringe” or “Let me fix your makeup for you”.…and just the thought of popping the pus out of a pimple on girl’s face (no matter how hot she is) would still make me recoil in absolute disgust.

Anyone else experience girls doing this to them ?
Or have any theories why girls are so keen on this ?

All I know for sure is that if a girl does this facial grooming for you…she is definitely in love with you.

I was dating a beauty therapist once. One night, I passed out drunk at her house. I woke up with my head propped up on a towel while she was giving me a full exfoliating facial. I just went back to sleep and let her do whatever it was she was doing.

Not only this, but females have VERY different concepts of what is disgusting and what is attractive versus us guys. There's also variation from girl to girl. Some girls are scared shitless of a spider and some are not at all, as an example.

Current and past LTR have enjoyed (some or all of):
* Waxing or watching my chest get waxed (I'm not really hairy but I've done it)
* Washing my back (this is a nicety and I know it's not disgusting but they really enjoy it)
* Cutting/trimming the hair on my head.
* Wanting to shave my face (and me actually trusting them enough to let them)
* Pulling ingrown hairs out.
* Popping zits on my back or elsewhere. They seem to enjoy that it never hurts enough for me to complain.
* Helping me treat/deal with a large or infected wound.
* Helping me shower or anything else that was difficult/impossible to do with an injured limb.

I've also popped zits/dealt with an ingrown hair on girls that I've dated.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to help someone you care about. This extends to friends/family as I would readily and without question do some disgusting/nasty shit for people that are close to me. I have had family and close friends be seriously hospitalized and have helped them with everything down to being naked/sponge-bath type stuff as well as cleaning up wounds and other things that might otherwise be considered strange because I know they'd do it for me. Circumstance dictates modesty.

There's everything right with a girl wanting to take care of you. If something really bothers you set a personal boundary, but there's nothing unmanly about letting your girl take care of you in these ways, just don't appear soft too much of the time.

It's pretty awesome getting a girl to wash you in the shower. I mean, think of her shampooing your hair, sponging your body. I'm sure Sigmund Freud would have something to say about it all, but I don't care, I love it.

On the subject of grooming, my girlfriend wanted to deal with some blackheads on my nose, and I consented (having only that minute learnt what blackheads were). She had this metal tool with a tiny loop on one end and a spike on the other. It was seriously painful, she broke skin at one point. I was reminded of American GIs being tortured by the Vietcong, and I told her this (she is Asian). Never let them do blackheads!

I agree, I dated this one girl that would bring me a scotch and scrub me down while I lounged in the bath. It was awesome.

I don't see this abnormal. If a girl loves you, she'll want to make sure you look good. I'd say this is normal, not abnormal. I'm not sure why the OP has a problem with this to be honest.

Yes it is in their feminine nature to do so. They feel the urge to groom their man.

One thing my LTR loves to do is to wash and massage my feet, then put some moisturiser on them. Sometimes it feels so good I'd take a nap, only to wake up to a BJ.

For me, my urge is to give her a banana as reward, usually metaphorically but sometimes literally if there's one in the fruit bowl nearby.

Its not that crazy when you think abour it. Women are less visual creatures then men, as must of us agree game trumps looks. So while we may be disgusted if we were to do the same thing to them, the feeling that they are doing womenly things to their rugged man overwhelms the visual issue.

I once had a horrible ingrown hair in the crack of my ass. Really deep down in there. I couldn't even sit down.

My girlfriend at the time, being the trooper (and disgusting bitch) she was, was all too happy to pull it out for me. She grabbed a pair of tweezers and I layed face down spread eagle in the living room floor. She proceeded to start searching for the offending ingrown.

Of course it was deep down in there and I, like many men, have a hairy ass crack. The fucking thing was camouflaged. I tell her to grab a flashlight, and to get right down in there.

So she did. And there she was, hunching over the asscheeks I was spreading open, wielding a pair of tweezers in one hand and a flash light in the other. He face was mere inches from my ass crack.

What's a man to do? Sure I want this thing plucked out. Sure I want this pain to stop. But at what cost? Was I willing to miss the golden, once in a lifetime, opportunity to show complete and utter dominance over my girlfriend just so I could be relieved of some pain?

No. I chose the pain.

So trying not to give myself away I told her "Get closer, you're almost there. Get closer you can probably see it. It hurts so bad, get closer"

And she did.

Closer she got...

then closer..

and even closer...

And right before she could pluck that horrible ingrown asshair...with her face so close that my ass hairs were tickling her nostrils, I pushed out the loudest, nastiest, beer fart that I could muster.

She revolted backwards against the wall, slamming her head off the closet door in the process. Slapping at her face with one hand, like she was trying to exorcise a demon, and rubbing the back of her head with her other, screaming all sorts of obscenities. I jumped out, giggy as could be, and pumped my fists into the air to celebrate my accomplishment.

That is my fondest memory of that relationship. So yeah, them bitches do some nasty grooming from time to time. But I appreciate it.
