Given how this is the 200th page of this thread, it shows how this venue not only changes so much over time as to beckon us to de-mystify it, but perhaps more than any other factor, we still acknowledge it as an avenue of utilization, if not more than a mere glimmer of what it once was. I wonder if in the near future we'll see a mass-deletage of accounts. The real shame is how this scene was a multi-lane highway for opportunities for a brief period, but seems to have since been reduced to a centuries-worn cobblestone antiquity from the Romanesque period.

For me, the shooting stars of real success that many of our members have garnered keeps me swinging back into the shit. Of course, the wise man delves into such sparingly, perhaps amidst readings on the RVF, priming himself with knowledge to fortify his interactions in the real world.

Eastern European "7" was a bust, unfortunately. The serial dater girls are a fucking pain. Unless they are just sluts you have a 1 in a thousand chance of getting anywhere with them. They are weathered and bitter about it all. Imagine how many guys she's met by now if she's used it for even five years.

I've heard the line "I don't even know you" about a million times by now. Online game is a fucking pain in the arse you need to screen very carefully but really there is no way of knowing until the date what you're meeting.

The more experience usually goes with less investment in girls. I started off meeting them in the centre of the city with no logistics to bang whatsoever (I had a few successes of going home with the girl but it was tough as fuck). Then it progressed to meeting in a bar close to my place. Nowadays a good proportion of the dates are meeting literally at my place or picking her up straight to my place and I feel far better for it. Less money and time wasted on the many vapid girls. The best game you throw in general is when you have a couple or more girls in the bag. You go to meet another girl, it doesn't matter what shit she throws at you you just laugh it off. And if she goes home early to play with her clitoris to netflix and wine with an "it was nice to meet you"? No problem you have three girls to call up and bring over. That will keep you with a positive attitude. You will forget about a girl who didn't want to have sex with you an hour ago as you have another one naked in your bed.

I'm not the slightest bit surprised. Having used OKC over a period of years, I have seen a TON of faces on that site have the EXACT main pic 2-3 years later on. TONS. You really have to be careful with mid/late 20's women on that one. Many will have tons of photos from their college years and all the shitty eating, work stress, alcohol, and random cock sucking has caught up with them by 30. But in their minds, they still think they look like their 23 selves and will use photos from there early 20's without a second thought. You are suppose to like her personality anyway, scumbag!

Occasionally, you will see a social dumbass 30 year old post chronological pics over the past 5-6 years (she dates the pics so you know for sure) and you can see the aging (weight gain and wrinkles) happen and happen hard; usually a new kid is involved during that timeline as well. A bit of a random tangent: Because of all that, seeing women age hard over a period of years in pics and dealing with SIFs.... I've become far more conscious of the probability a woman will age hard or rapidly when viewing them beyond short-term prospects. I suppose this has been one of the few pluses to online dating.

Even more incredibly (not unexpected really but still) is how if I were to show up to a date with a slightly different hair-do (slightly longer/shorter than pics), they'd be like "Oh... you don't look like your pics" in a sort of "what the fuck"/"Whats your problem?" tone.

"No shit lady... it been a month since my last pic and I got a trimming" I say... all the while I'm noticing the crows feet and 20 additional pounds that definitely weren't in their photos.

Unless you are in NYC where I feel OKC still has some mileage left in it due to sheer volume of women in town, higher than average OKC use, and a favorable dating climate for men looking for bangs (kill yourself if looking for a LTR in NYC), I think the best cost/benefit usage of OKC as of today in most US cities is to use it for about two weeks and then shut it down for 3-6 months and then repeat. An alternative would be two weeks of active use and then logging in once a week to keep your profile active but taking no action beyond that (scanning profiles, messaging, etc). Maybe with that, you get lucky and get a legit hot chick to message you.

The turnover in quality talent is so little now and the site is packed with so many veteran OKC attention whore sluts that I feel if you have a good filter, you can review all the decent talent within two weeks. After that, I found myself at times holding out for the occasional new decent quality chick to pop up and wasted a lot of time in the process. Part of the reason for holding out was several years ago, semi-decent new blood WOULD pop up frequently enough to warrant remaining constantly active. Today and as I've said before: it's a sinking ship.

Better to invest that time in other dating platforms that have a better return, myself, or offline venues. If I were to use OKC today, I would only use it in brief few week bursts. Need to be careful though, it's easy to get sucked in by the convenience of everything.

I should really just write up a separate post, based on my own experience, about the "female tells" on online dating sites which are giveaways that your chances of ever banging them or getting a day 2 are very low.

Age range: 23 - 29

Attractiveness: above average

Distance: 50 miles

Join date: within the last month

Body type: filter all the usual, I leave "Curvy" as I hooked up with one girl over the summer who described herself that way and had the best ass I'd ever seen

Sort by: Match% and Distance

The only problem with this is that the majority of "new talent" these days in that age demographic are tire-kickers (want to chat forever) or attention whores, but it's what I'm going to stick with for the moment.

I used the paid version in the past. Good for seeing who liked your profile and having a warm opening but that's about it. Most of the filters are useless in actually securing a bang. I ran an experiment after using the paid version for a while (meaning I was just using the free version again) and my success rate didn't really change.

The most useful paid future is boosting at the right times; which assists with getting your face out there. You don't need the paid version to see your likes during a boost either. If a chick just visits the profile during or shortly after a boost, you have caught her attention. Scan her profile and immediately open with a semi-custom opener unique to her profile and go from there. I've gotten A LOT numbers via this method. It's time-efficient and focuses on warm leads in the moment.

But there is a critical trick: when the boost is running, you will see small pic icons of the chicks who are allegedly seeing your profile (the icons can be tiny on the desktop version so use mobile if possible). If will go through these pics VERY fast and if done at the wrong time or wrong area (not enough users currently browsing), you will see A LOT of repeat faces. You will also get the odd overseas or way out of town chicks too. That's normal.

But the trick is to click the profiles as the boost is happening. Click everything that remotely looks attractive to you based on the tiny icon you can see. Click the profile, let it load the chicks profile, and immediately hit back (if on mobile) and go open another one. Do this as fast as possible while trying to avoid clicking on the same faces again. On desktop, you can just new tab profiles hyper fast but you won't be able to see the icons as well. On mobile, you can usually see enough to get a sense of a chick to make a reasonable gamble on. By doing the aforementioned, you will show as a view on a bunch of sluts currently browsing; some of which you will get the attention of and they will view your profile. Once done, do as I said before: scan profile and open them with semi-custom opener.

"Likes" from chicks don't count for much in my opinion (means they were too lazy to check out my profile). The boost function can result in getting "likes" with no views from the same chick (I suppose from the Quickmatch function). Pretty much impossible to tell what you have until you talk on the phone and/or meet but the former are better. They know what they want and are looking for something specific in a guy. Late 20s/early 30s career sluts want either short-term dick or a future provider. Most have short-term dick on speed dial while they make provider candidates jump through hoops since "they are not like that [a slut] anymore." Everyone here knows better.

I went out with a woman who was 30 a while back who fit this exact profile. She said she was fairly new to online dating, and I did believe her. She was pleasant and enthusiastic on the first date, and while not much physical happened I thought she was a decent prospect.

After one week tinkering with the app, and the unimpressive talent I've found in it at my city (Attention whores, fatties and fugs), I decided to delete the profile and the app for the time being. Tinder has also been depleted in my locale, and after getting some average lays out of it (non spectacular girls, of course), it became clear to me that I just have to push myself to daygame.

But for now, I will enjoy the holidays with my family and be grateful for a crazy year with highs and lows.

Man...reading the later post in this thread saddens me a bit, haha. Thing is, when its your only source...frustration is going to kick in like a motherfucker. I rarely log into okc. I think one of the chicks who I moved offline is too caught up in the attention to actually come out on a real date. Many men face the same thing.

I think the problem is that were not allowed to fully express ourselves(run game) through these apps. Were not physically there to trigger them emotionally, make them laugh, make them horny, touch them, and so on. My current approach is maximizing my aesthetics, little online game, and cold approach when I can to keep sane.

I think a lot of the time we involuntarily put these chicks up on a pedestal. Not by kissing their asses but inflating their egos. For these reasons...its hard to get some of the wackest chicks offline or even on a date! The good news is that as a guy with game you're capable of succeeding elsewhere.

Social circle game will probably be ideal right now because of the holidays. They would like to have a man to show off and kiss on New Year's once that ball drops in NYC. I'm sure women will be a lot more approachable and interested in talking to you because this holiday is quickly coming.

This is true. I think it's also possible online too. But you make a good point about social game.

You can get results with online but anyone will agree that it is a big numbers and filtering game. Women waste time on there and end up wasting your time too. You can't have them jump through too many hoops before you meet them as you don't have a lot of power but you can filter. But everyone will agree it takes a lot of time.

Social game has many ways of going about it. I think it's something you can work with and create better results. Especially as the comfort level is taken away.

The nice thing is there are so many ways to make it happen when you think outside the box. May not be exact Social game but can create comfort in creative ways with variations of Social Game too.

Alright, I think it’s time I create a small data sheet about my OKC experience. I can also make this a thread in the Newbie Section if folks find this useful.

How I went about OKC:

5 minutes were spent on a daily basis going through the quickmatch feature along with messaging women. When going through quickmatch, depending on my mood, I would filter out women by appearance only. If I didn’t feel like looking at each individual picture, I would just bullet click the “like” feature for everyone without looking at a single picture, then filter out those “likes” the next day.

When I filtered out the “likes” I accumulated, I would go to each profile to check out their pictures. If her picture did not meet my standards or pass my boner test, I would delete the like from the messages list and move on to the next prospect. After I filter out the profiles based on appearance, I would then read the profile to gauge whether or not this woman would be a waste of my time. After I determined her profile to be decent, I would then customize a message based upon what was said in her profile or one of her pictures.

When it came to messaging women, I only messaged women who “liked” my profile or messaged me first. This merited a much higher response rate than just stalking a profile then saying “hey, whats up?” I would consider this a warm prospect. Women who I’d message out of the blue were considered cold prospects. If anyone has ever done sales, you know that warm prospects generally lead to a higher conversion rate or sale, than cold prospects. Since I had a sales background, it made more sense for me to concentrate on messaging women who fit that warm category.

The messages I wrote tended to sway a little more towards being humorous than articulate and thought provoking. Punctuation and capitalization were never used. You don’t need to seem like a try hard or show any emotional investment when you message your prospects. My messages would be reflective of my profile, which will be discussed later.

Even though some of these messages were probably just viewed and deleted, I still had a high response rate because we were already physically attracted to each other. After the initial message, this is where I would build the rapport necessary to get the number. Phone numbers do not mean shit for online game. Keep that in mind when you message these women. You will either get the number after building the rapport, or you will never receive another message from her again. If you get blown out, chalk it up to the game. It happens to all of us.

Rapport can sometimes take a while, so take your time but escalate conversation so she keeps her interest. This could be over the span of 5 messages, or 85 messages. I have pulled women in both scenarios. Patience is a virtue.

When I thought it was the right time to go for the number, I would always message “would it be easier to text?” This does not directly ask for the number, rather requesting you take the messaging to a different medium. Avoid going for the number using a declarative statement like “let’s text.” or asking the “can I have your number?” question. Those generally did not work for me. I figured they come off as needy or you are demanding her to give you her number, instead of asking.

After you get the number, try to schedule a date sooner rather than later. Most prospects that you convert to text game will fall off the radar if you don’t set up a time to meet. Strike while the iron is hot. Don’t pussyfoot around trying to build more rapport. You already did that. These women have short attention spans due to multiple suitors, so you will need to confirm plans shortly after getting the number. Of course, women will flake, it is in their nature. Don’t get frustrated when things happen that are outside your control.

My Profile:

Basically, I treated my profile like a joke. I didn’t have any intellectual discussion or anything witty. My self-summary told a story about how I came to be the person who I am in the present. The stories I wrote were all bullshit. If I thought something was funny, I wrote it down and tried to incorporate it into my self-summary. Some of the stories came from my favorite comedians, or from movies. It is very easy to write an out of the box self-summary. Just make it believable enough so you will receive messages saying how funny your profile is and women asking if your story is true. I had stories about becoming a porn star and travelling across Europe. Get creative.

For the rest of the profile, I had a couple funny things added along with some true things about myself. The things I am good at section is a good way to incorporate humor and truth into your profile. For books and movies, I mixed and matched things like “One Fish, Two Fish” and “Shawshank Redemption.”

The self-summary is the most important part because it is the first thing a woman sees when she stalks your profile. The rest can be whatever you decide.

For the side information where it shows your height, last login, etc. I filled in everything except my income. Add it if you want, just my preference not to discuss my finances with anyone. For body type, there is a Used Up option that I had marked on my profile. I did have a picture of myself where I was at the beach rocking a six pack and a defined chest, so they obviously know I’m joking. I sometimes got some messages saying there is no way I am used up or damaged goods, so that can maybe work to your advantage dependent upon your body type.

To sum it up, deviate from the normal guy’s profile and write something that stands out amongst the rest. Most guys will have a profile saying that they are “smart, witty, and fun” and continue with the normal crap that encompasses an ordinary, plain Jane profile. Be the outlier that gets a woman to question your antics or stories that you have written.

This is what I did to make myself successful. My approach got me many notches over the time frame I used OKC. Maybe some of you are better off cold messaging or mass messaging women to set up dates. If your current method works for you, continue to utilize it.

^ All great advice that I wish I'd heeded when I started out back at the beginning of this year. I likely lost a half-dozen bangs over the summer by doing stupid shit like getting stuck in texting hell and not closing the date, and other mistakes from not doing my homework.

Sadly the process of "building rapport" and grabbing the number to move off-site has become seriously more difficult over the past few months compared to just last summer - even chicks who send _you_ openers will usually flake out early in the interaction, and I'd say the number of "one hit wonders" who will hit me back with one or two replies and then bail, never to be heard from again, probably approaches 7 or 8 out of 10.

It's hard to estimate what the male/female ratio is on the site in my area at this point, but I'm guessing that, as Roosh mentioned in a post a while back, the sheer difficulty and atrocious ratios involved in bar/club night game in New England during the school is sending men fleeing to online game in droves. I've gone out to various night spots over the past few weeks and seen the situation with my own eyes...Pipelines are full to capacity.

As someone mentioned before, really the only way to score a number and date at this point is to follow the strategy outlined above by Remington tightly, and keep pushing while she's online and active the very same hour she sends you a reply, and hope you can text back and forth for a few dozen messages, and then grab the digits and book the date all in the same afternoon or evening.

The slow game of pinging back and forth over a couple of days and building rapport that way until she gave out the number worked for me several times over the summer, but it ain't working now. In the winter of 2k15 you have to move with the alacrity of a supersonic cruise missile.

I've been thinking that a good way to weed out the serial daters early on is to just be direct. I read some research a while back that said that one of the best ways to diagnose narcissistic personality disorder is simply to ask someone "Hey. Are you a narcissist?" The people who answer "Yes" to that question also correlate very well to more complicated tests designed to diagnose NPD.

I'd guess women who serial date often lie somewhere on the NPD spectrum - serial dating takes up such a big part of their lives that talking about their experiences is as natural as talking about what they had for breakfast, even with guys on their serial dating schedule. They think it's totally normal and "this is what everyone is doing", even the men they meet. Sometimes they even bring it up unprompted like the chick above who started rambling on about her Tinder adventures to me.

If you suspect a date fits that demographic I don't know that you'd want to say "Hey are you a serial dater?" straight up, but you could barely conceal it and say something like "So tell me about all the interesting dates you've been on!" I guarantee women who aren't serial daters will answer that question in one way, and the women who are will answer it another...the understood subtext to you is "tell me about all the dates you went on with guys you never banged".

Women who you actually have a shot with may try to play down their experiences, and maybe tell you about a really horrible person they met. Women who are going to next you will probably play it up and act like what big deals they are

I went through another round on OKC. Messaged 20 girls, got 8 responses, 5 numbers, 5 dates.

I found out a way to greatly reduce girls' flaking from OKC.

I always propose getting a drink after 1-3 messages back and forth. A girl would say yes to going out for drinks, then I'd text her the next day and she wouldn't respond. I had a very high flake rate, around 50%.

For this round on OKC I started texting girls RIGHT when I got their numbers, within the hour, and the flaking drastically decreased. None of the five numbers I got didn't lead to dates.

So here's what I do now:
Me: Blah blah blah
Her: Blah blah
Me: Blah blah blah. Drinks?
Her: Sure.
Me: Cool. Number?
Her: ###-###-####

I text and set up immediately, within an hour of getting her number:
Me: Hey it's *****. How about ****** at 9?
Her: Ok

Then she would show up.

Something to try out for guys who are getting mercilessly flaked on.

Hey Remington, I gave that Thai a call after a coupla weeks and got her on the line for a great chat for a solid hour. Sounds like a weird scene she's got over there. I'm sure SA has something to do with it, but my intrigue is re-piqued. Um, "stays" with the soon to be ex-husband, but at 40+ miles away, I'll have to strike some sort of in-between. Sounds a like a fun one, I must say.

Just trolled a girl on okcupid who messaged me out of the blue saying "hi how are you", whom i previously talked to on POF (i messaged her that time) and even got her number. Even then i could tell she was dumber than a rock as the exchanges didn't go anywhere. She didn't recognize me and i spooked her by revealing her phone number and name that i looked up facebook.
