Appreciate the response buddy and am not sure I explicitly said I was expecting anyone to prescribe anything (just reflected what my doc told me). I'm sure there are other guys who have much lower levels than I do for my age. Anyway I'm focussed on losing more weight and leading a healthier lifestyle so hopefully that'll help.

You're going to have difficulty getting a GP to prescribe TRT with a number like that. If anything you'd probably want to fuck with your E2 levels as best you can before going in for a test.

I remember reading a post somewhere on how to get your E2 super high and test super low before a blood reading. If I recall correctly it basically suggested eating a lot of food, fapping all of the time, eating lots of soy, and then the night before the test drink a lot of alcohol to suppress it further.

Personally, I know of a pheromone product that contains a product called "Meo-Est". It basically gives women butterflies in their stomachs, but repeated use on men causes estrogenic effects. I'd probably use this daily and then drink heavily the night before the test. Much easier than eating poorly for a few weeks.

RE: TESTOSTERONE injections
I would advise every man here to take steroids, even before reaching your genetic limit. But only after you have been working out long enough to know what you're doing in the gym and with your diet. You build muscle faster, and there really isn't much time to waste.

As to health hazards, it's not more dangerous than alcohol or smoking. And yet we do those all the time. One or two cycles won't do any long-term damage.

Jay from FabFitOver40 recently did an interview on ESPN Radio that was a great introduction to TRT.

Unlike the podcasts with MikeCF, the hosts of this show are complete newbies and ask all of the beginner questions. Jay does an excellent job explaining all of the basics and pleading the case for TRT to the show.

The first guest talks about protein donuts tard

Jay starts at 13:30.

For me I feel like it's at 100% improvement. I was also sitting around 300-450 though. I'm at 1200 or so now on TRT.

You guys who aren't on TRT, even with a natural level of say 700, still have no idea on what you're missing out on. It's like rolling around in a prius when it could be a M5.

for me maybe 10% improvement story is I had about 360-380ng/dl last 2 years I went straight test E blast of 500mg/week I controlled E2 so that was not issue.
How I felt? Almost no changes mentally sleep is still bad, endurance same nothing!!! I thought going from 360 to 2000+ will be dramatic change but no nothing!!!
Yes in gym I got more strength I gained about 10kg mass most muscle I still have visible abs but gained about 4cm in waist some visceral fat maybe? anyway my arms chest thighs are bigger so that part worked but that's about it otherwise nothing. Even sex drive libido is nothing above normal in fact few years ago it was better. I don't complain though what I mean few years ago it was like 9/10 now 7-8/10
Gear was initially UGL then last 4 weeks pharmacy stuff sustanon 250.
No big difference. Now I'm off for 12 days don't feel much difference... I plan start TRT dose for some 8 weeks to see how I feel on trt dose then try to come off.

Everything I've seen you post is suspect.

Between you saying girls don't pay any attention to you even being 6'4 240 pounds with a six pack and now saying you blasted your test from 300s to 2,000 and feel no difference?

Both of these things could be true, but I also suspect you may be a troll.

I definitely think members reading should take everything you say with a grain of salt.

How much does TRT cost you guys per month if you average it out over a year?

I'm talking about your gear, blood tests, doctor's visits, etc.

RE: TESTOSTERONE injections
I'm not on test anymore since I didn't need it, but this was the cost for me in Western Europe:

doctor's visit: 165 euro twice a year
full blood panel: 90 euro twice a year
testosterone gel from compounding pharmacy (application of 100 mg of test per day to your skin, of which 10-20% is absorbed): 350 euro a year

That's a total of 860 euro a year, or 72 euro per month.

If you want to add other compounds that will increase the cost:
Arimidex: add 5-10 euro per month
DHEA, oral 30 mg/day, from compounding pharmacy: add 15-20 euro a month
pregnenolone, oral 50 mg/day, from compounding pharmacy: add 45 euro a month

I've got no idea about hcg or hgh

To place it into perspective: median salary over here is around 1800 euro per month after taxes.

I wish I was troll Big Grin but I'm not and what I say is what it is, I had huge hopes from Test E blast but improvement was just not that big at all (except gains in gym). I'm not so tired anymore and don't want to sleep anymore after eating - i think glucose levels stabilized but that's about it. Yes about girls it's also true I haven't see any difference at all before and after blast for all of them I'm like inviable ghost.

gear is about $50 10 ml vial 250mg/ml if per week you use 200mg it's enough for 12 weeks so pretty low cost per month. Doctor visits ? Depends on country a lot, blood tests again in one country it's $5 other $200...

$199 for 5 injections (160mg per syringe) to take home. Includes blood work every 8 weeks and management from a doctor. Increase, add AI, add HCG, stop AI, etc. All told, it's about $180/mo.

At this point I feel I could manage my own treatment, but I like the warm fuzzy feeling of having testosterone with a prescription and not underground shit.

My original levels were barely below normal so this is all out of pocket. My insurance required my levels to be VERY low to cover treatment.

If I used an underground lab and did my own blood work, I believe it would come out to around $60/mo average if I did blood work every 8 weeks.

Appetizers, sometimes

RE: TESTOSTERONE injections
I'm switching to Sustan XT (Sustanon 250) because it comes highly recommended by friends, and my research has shown that like any other, when used responsibly, at the correct dosage, it will give me the same stability but with a weekly dose. Every 7-10 days I will inject 50-75 mg. I need to keep tabs to make sure I can hit the same sweet spot.

Essentially, the testosterones all "wear off" at different times. That way I can stay at the correct level, longer.

The compounds are slightly different between Sustan XT and Sustanon though. Almost imperceptibly.

Sustanon 250 is:

- 30 mg Testosterone propionate
- 60 mg Testosterone phenylpropionate
- 60 mg Testosterone isocaproate
- 100 mg Testosterone decanoate

Sustan XT is:

- 20 mg Testosterone propionate
- 30 mg Testosterone phenylpropionate
- 100 mg Testosterone isocaproate
- 100 mg Testosterone decanoate

In the past, I've had great success with Testosterone Propionate over the past year. My bi-weekly injections of 50 mg every 4 days keeps my measurable testosterone at about 800.

How many of you have experience with longer-ester compounds? Things that you only have to inject weekly?

(06-09-2015 12:40 AM)Kwisatz Wrote:  I take Testosterone Propionate. 50 Mg, every 4th day. I am 6 weeks in.

I was told it would take a month before the effects “kicked in”, but I felt it in 4 doses, that’s two weeks.

The biggest, most noticeable changes:
• It’s not speed, superfluous energy, or a drugged feeling.
• More mental acuity.
• I sleep far better, deeper, and more productively.
• My muscles recover after time in the gym far faster.
• The absence of tiredness.
• More physical stamina (I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)
• Slight increase in aggression (but nothing uncontrollable, if you were already a violent asshole you will you continue to be. If not, you won’t be.)
• Increase in libido and sexual stamina.

The only aspect of TRT that surprised me was that it seriously improved my cognition. I am “sharper”, more able to seriously focus.

The number one question I am asked by men I talked to about it:
“Why inject Pharmaceutical Grade Testosterone instead of a “natural”, “homeopathic”, or “over the counter” testosterone enhancer / booster?

Easy, doctor prescribed pharmaceutical grade testosterone was first correctly synthesized in 1935. We know specifically and exactly what the positive and negatives are, without question. With a compound that has only been being used for a few years, we are unsure. I want stability and consistency.

Natural Testosterone Production

Yes, injecting T will certainly cause my natural production to slow or possibly stop. The good news is that Clomid has been used to reverse the process successfully. When it’s a planned part of the therapy. It “turns the factory back on” so to speak.

You will also come across info about TRT and Cancer. It’s a scare tactic. It doesn’t have a definite link. Still, I have PSA tests done. Here is my info:

Side effects / Negatives:

I think I stink. I shower twice a day, yet I smell gross when I sniff my clothes. Interestingly enough, women have started telling me “how good I smell”, and asking “What are you wearing?”. Not just women that are close to me socially, women that I work with, friends of friends, women within sniffing distance make it a point to tell me how good I smell. Check this out -> /thread-28966-...#pid587476

Over the past few months I have had 3 pimples. One on my neck, one on my chest, one on my back. They may be natural, they may be from TRT. Either way, they didn’t cause any problems.

My feet get hot. Stop laughing. http://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/burni...M-20050809

To be clear, this is a serious decision. For me, the pros out weigh the manageable cons. I would rather use this than go through the tiredness and lack of “drive” that happens when T drops too low. I have always been around 850. Once I hit 500, I FELT IT. It became a quality of life issue for me. As I said before, as a man who courts danger, travels the world, and fights and fucks with equal vigor, I am not easily impressed or at a loss for words. That’s why when I say that after a few months of the TRT therapy I feel a world of difference, you should know I mean it.

Essentially, TRT is a “quality of life” issue.

No one dies without testosterone and its very, very cheap. So the Medical Industry rarely talks about it. There is almost no money to be made on it. Its simple/cheap/effective.

I did a brief questionnaire before my prescription. I think it was a way for the Dr. to cover his bases. Essentially I said I was slow, lethargic, and gaining weight, but NOT suicidal or having grim thoughts.

The Checklist that my Dr. used to see if I was eligible for TRT. http://www.issam.ch/tools.asp

If / When you start TRT

There are several ways to take T if you decide to. Intra Muscular Injection is by far the most cost effective, time effective, and stable way to do it. It’s only odd the first two times you do it because you think it is.

Your Dr. or nurse will probably offer to do your bi-weekly injections for you, for a price. Don’t do it. You are capable of doing it by yourself. Just remember, they will probably give you your first shot, in the butt, with a big needle, it will hurt. DON’T BELIEVE THAT IS HOW YOU HAVE TO DO IT! Just tell them to give you 1.25-1.5 inch, #23 gauge needles for you do it at home. You will give it to yourself in the thigh. No, it wont hurt. Here is the video I used as reference for how I do my own. Skip to 1:40.

Finally.

I am open about the TRT with my friends and some have been upset that I would rather be proactive about my health than reactive if I had diabetes, high cholesterol, or obesity! If I had to take insulin, I would get sympathy since I’d be fat, sad, and miserable. Because I choose to win, I am ridiculed. Good thing I’m used to it!

BONUS: Chael Sonnen really unpcks TRT! https://medium.com/the-cauldron/a-cautio...5b0a65c73f

More, solidly reliable info on how to use T, and how you can combine it with other things. I don’t use anything other than T, other men do -> http://tnation.t-nation.com/free_online_...injections

RE: TESTOSTERONE injections
A few weeks ago I booked an appointment at an anti-aging clinic to speak to the Doctor about having by blood tests done and told her that I was interested in TRT, a service that the private clinic (in Canada) offered.

TLDR: I spent $300 to get information that I already was aware of by reading this forum.

I've been paying close attention to this thread and others related to TRT, although I have some of the symptoms for low T, I was pretty sure that I wasn't as I still wake up with boners and get good results in the gym. Many of my closest friends have used steroids, especially in the oil sands, I work with jacked guys all day long, last year the largest steroid bust in Canadian history went down in the city I live in, Edmonton.

Recently I was driving down the highway and saw a billboard for a clinic so I checked out the website and saw that they offered TRT, then I went it. The doctor charges $440/hour and booked me in for a half hour consultation, I was sent a six page questionnaire about my health and family back ground to fill in. That was the best part because I spoke to both of my parents at length about health issues in their families and found out some interesting things. At the clinic I described some symptoms I've been having over the past couple of years that I was concerned about that could be related to my Test levels declining since I turned thirty, three years ago. I said that I lack focus and have noticed less of a sex drive (which is almost a good thing in some ways) and have been a bit stressed out lately and not in such a positive mood as I usually am. I told her I'd like to put my T levels to an optimal range and she responded that while it was an option, she wouldn't be putting me on any super human levels.

I didn't exaggerate much and was honest over all, even about past drug abuse and heavy drinking. She was cool but expressed concerns about the impact on fertility that going on TRT could have, then she told me to get my blood work done and she'll make recommendations and see if TRT is a good option. Although I've done some reckless things to my body in the past, mostly smoking and partying too hard, for some reason the thought of doing TRT and having to be on it forever freaks me out a bit but its becoming less of a concern the more I educate myself. I just read the TRT book by Jay Campbell that Redbeard suggested, very good read.

So I had the blood work done and went into the doctor's office for a fifteen minute consulation, my test came in at 615 and everything else was good, surprisingly she said I was in really good health and have higher test levels than most guys who walk in. She didn't recommend TRT, which isn't too surprising,Here's what she recommended that I do:

-Get a bright light therapy box
-Take vitamin D and zinc
-Get lots of sleep
-Lift heavy weights and
-get outside as much as possible
-Don't drink too much

She also recommended a Mediterranean diet, which I decided not to follow. So basically, I spent about $300 for this Doctor to tell me what I could have found out by reading the weightlifting and Fitness section of RVF, whats that saying about a fool and his money? I should have PM'd Lizard of Oz, it all stuff that he writes about here all the time.

Right after my consultation I started hitting the gym hard and eating as clean as possible, taking supplements, quit drinking for almost four weeks and recently joined the RVF cutting group. I'm down ten pounds in the past five weeks and would like to lose another ten but it's going to be hard. I still haven't bought a lamp though but it won't be too much of an issue as I will be back down in South America soon getting lots of sun.

TRT in Colombia

You can buy pharmacy T over-the-counter in Colombia (trust me I know a guy who does it down there, you guys have probably heard of him before haha) and am considering it but would still like to do it under the guidance of a doctor, so I'm looking into finding a specialist down there, hopefully they don't charge $440/hour like they do back in Canada fuck.

Hey Scotian,

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I just started last week on testosterone and HCG. Our mutual friend, TullyMars, has located a reliable source of HCG that will deliver anywhere in Bogota. So last week I ordered (domicilio) a box of testosterone (preloaded syringe of 250 mg- 1 week supply for me) for COP 17,743 and a box of HCG (5000 Ui) for COP 277,000- which is basically a 6 week supply of HCG. Pretty easy and convenient to get on a plan here is Bogota. Many reasonably priced labs as well to get blood work.

Thanks for that intel man, have you looked into finding a health care professional to track your progress down there? I'll be there soon, if you're still around we should meet up to talk about this some more.

Dude -- you are extremely lucky that you found a doc who told you all the right things, and didn't try to fuck you over in any way. That is the best that any doctor could possibly do. I would love to send her another $300 as a personal gift just for being a smart and competent lady.

I guaran-f'ing-tee you that if you did all the things she said to do, and didn't do all the things she said not to do -- and yeah, they're pretty much the exact same things I'd have said, maybe not in the exact same order -- your mood and energy will be 100 times better, and your sex drive may start to be a problem again but in a good way (can't stop thinking about it). And you wouldn't even need to consider any other interventions.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

Did I miss something or did she only pull your total test level and nothing else? If so that seems strange to me for an HRT clinic.

What is your free t, DHT, DHEA, and SHBG? It's good to know these. For example, if you have average to low SHBG then a 615 number is decent. That means you have more Free T and likely higher DHT as it's not bound up by SHBG. However, if your SHBG is higher than normal 615 is lowish because much of it is bound.

Hormones far too complicated to make judgement from one TT pull. You need a full picture.

$300 is a crazy price too. You can meet with Dr John Crisler for $150 an hour.

Her recommendations are solid otherwise. You could just do what she's recommending and go by feel. As Dr John says, "it's always feel over labs".

RE: TESTOSTERONE injections
Can someone who's been taking T talk about their long term plan with it?
Meaning, is there a certain point/age in the future you plan on stopping, or will you be taking it indefinitely?
If someone is considering it, should they plan to take it basically forever or stop taking it before a certain point if they don't plan to do so?

RE: TESTOSTERONE injections
I have seen people condemned to inject insulin for the rest of their lives because they mismanaged their sugar and chose poorly. I know people who have to take pills that control their blood pressure because they are irresponsible with salt. I've seen people that had to have surgery to remove fat and restrict what their stomachs can physically hold because they are gluttons.

For me to decide to take Testosterone, by choice for the rest of my life is no hardship.

It's a continuation of a lifestyle that includes relatively healthy eating, no drugs, no alcohol, and active sports on an amateur competition level.

I'm not on TRT yet so I'm not an expert. However, I've done enough research to make my head spin due to all the conflicting information out there on the Internets. One of the few consistent things I've read is not to trust doctors especially regarding dosages and dosage frequency. A lot of guys say you have to learn to be your own doctor and one of the more popular lifting/steroid forums refers to doctors as "idiots" and endocrinologists and urologists being the "worst idiots".
