Your definition of misogyny
I tried searching a thread about this but can't find anything about it.

Anyways, I was just wondering how would you define "misogyny". This term can have different meanings to different people. I would like to hear some perspectives from you guys.

RE: Your definition of misogyny
Originally, it means the way of thinking that implies that men are superior to women. For example, saying that "women belong in the kitchen while men can fuck around" can be interpreted as a misogynist statement.

Nowadays, the meaning has been expanded because of feminists. Feminists will describe anything that is contrary to their opinions as migosynist.

Optimist: "The glass is half full." Pessimist: "The glass is half empty." Feminist: "The glass has been raped."

RE: Your definition of misogyny
It's an idiotic, meaningless term.

Almost nobody categorically hates ALL women in ALL situations, which is the condition that would be necessary for an intellectual honest definition of the word.

But almost everybody hates SOME women in SOME situations.

The very emotion of hatred - as all emotions are - is both fleeting and fundamentally indefinable without reference to other emotions.

So how can 'misogyny' be a static state?

The whole power of the word lay in the fact that it's so nebulous and fundamentally impossible to define.

That makes it applicable to anybody in any situation when it suits the accuser's ends.

Sometimes I feel anger towards black people but some of my best friends are black.

So what am I? A closet racist?

No - something a black person does pisses me off and my anger finds a convenient target in that person or in the scapegoat of "black people".

I'm white and live in Asia and I see white people behaving like complete morons.

So what does that make me, a self-loathing white?

Or some kind of auto-racist?

Again, no.

These are fleeting emotions that pass and I don't have to act on them.

Incidentally, one of the core ideas of Eastern mysticism is that we have little control over the thoughts that pass through our mind.

That is why meditation seeks to cultivate a 'witnessing' so that you can observe your thoughts and emotions dispassionately.

The mystic Gurdjef said that the only sin is identification.

That is, believing that you ARE your thoughts and emotions.

In reality, nobody is a misogynist, a racist, or anything else.

Everyone is who he is, at the time that he's being.

If one's so called misogyny doesn't manifest in ostensible harm (not imaginary harm, mind you) to women, then in my opinion it's a non-issue.

And in the case that it does manifest violently, what's the difference who its target is?

A violent act is a violent act regardless of who commits it towards whom.

The subsumption therefore is that if the victim of harm is a woman, and the one who harmed her can be painted as having it out for women in particular, then he is a misogynist, and his act is more egregious than if it were perpetrated against a man, or even against the same woman absent his woman-specific hatred.

In other words, it's a word that allows women to claim a higher position (or lower I suppose) in the victimhood hierarchy, thus conferring upon them more benefits (paid for by others of course), exonerating them of ever more responsibility for their shitty actions (the slack of which is taken up by men of course), and garnering them attention at every convenient opportunity because ANY situation could be skewed to draw eyeballs under such fuzzy definitions of words and concepts.

Misogyny? It's a faux word that you'd be well advised to strike from your vocabulary.

Misogyny is the belief that women are intelligent, beautiful, and responsible creatures and the expectation that they act accordingly.

RE: Your definition of misogyny
"Misogynist: A man who is winning a debate with a feminist."

That's the classic, sarcastic manosphere definition. However even though that saying is a joke, it proved to be true. Back this past summer, Milo Yiannopoulis recently had this experience and wrote an article about it.

This article is definitely worth the read because of the way he picks apart an accusation of alleged misogyny and finds it's really just a woman he debated being a drama queen. The opening paragraphs are too good to resist quoting:

"One of the most frustrating things about debating feminists and feminist academics is how readily they reach for words such as “abuse,” “harassment” and “safety” – particularly, it seems, when they are losing the argument.

Yesterday I debated Dr. Emily Grossman on women in science and, sure as night follows day, she reached for the same vocabulary afterwards, claiming on Twitter that she was “absolutely reeling” from the “mysogynistic [sic] backlash” and that she “hadn’t quite realised the extent of #everydaysexism.”"

RE: Your definition of misogyny
Misogyny is such a redundant term nowadays. No man nowadays is trying to take away women's rights and subjugate them. We can all find criticisms of the opposite gender if we tried.

Simply a man who hates women that don't meet his expectations.

Lot of dudes won't admit to themselves how much they hate those the are different from themselves. A handful embrace it, even fewer overcome it.

It certainly doesn't hurt your game.

RE: Your definition of misogyny
I'd say the term mysogyny is part of the Newspeak invented by the modern Left. When you think of it, it's very similar to other Newspeak terms such as sustainable development, civil society, chauvinism, sexism, bigotry, macho culture, male privilege etc.

As such, it's completely useless outside of the leftist narrative, and impossible to define by any of us. Who cares anyway? Let those who invent such useless terms waste time defining them.

RE: Your definition of misogyny
It means the same thing as when some limp wristed faggot calls you racist, homophobic, sexist, bigot, etc.

It means they feel inferior to you and need to try to drag you down and get other people to take their side so they won't feel so weak against you.

If someone calls you any of these terms it means they're intimidated by you. Don't back track, double down and rip their fucking head off. They can't compete with you.

I had a GF tell me that I should try to see things from a woman's point of view so I went over and looked out the kitchen window.
