I don't wait five days to do anything. If you aren't proactive and don't move fast, you get screwed. Plain and simple. No need to overanalyze it.

I use one day, my hypothesis is this girls have lower attention spans since day bang has been published.I have significantly more responses with one day compared to two.

It doesn't matter. If she likes you, you can wait however long you want, or chances are she'll send you one without any prompting. You'll never lose a girl because of when you texted, or how long you waited.

My rule is this - if you went on a date and she doesn't text you something like "I had a great time!" a few hours after, she's not that into you. I never send the initial text.

Texting "Hey, it was nice meeting you, look forward to doing it again real soon!" after a date is a surefire way to come off like a beta bitch. If the attraction was there, she'll send you something similar (to which you respond "cool"). Women can't help themselves - they act almost entirely off emotion. If she's sitting there thinking "I wonder if he likes me, I like him...", she won't be able to help herself.

Text your name or some amusing 'intro' text (e.g. "Phoenix, elephant polo champion") immediately on getting the number, whilst she's standing there.

Then text the next day. Depending on local culture, you can also call. This can work well even in countries with poor english, since some girls are afraid to meet due to fear of inability to talk on the date, and a slow and simple phone conversation can both allay this fear and screen out some time wasters.

It's terrible that guys get so caught up on this stuff given how little difference it makes. The 'aloofness' of waiting before texting is a bullshit thing. The most important factor is how attractive she remembers you being.

Make a good impression, text next day, schedule date.

The rule used to be text/call her after 2 days. Then it became 3 days. Then it became 4 days. Then it went to 3 days again. Now it's at around 1 or 2 days because girls now have ADD - in fact I'm finding it more commonplace to message them within 30 mins after saying good bye. You have to remember - a girl will be hit on at least 4 times on average day. Leaving it for "a few days" - she's already been talking to over 10 guys, so hopefully you managed to separate yourself from the pack.

There's a difference between "getting a number" and "getting a makeout AND a number." In this day and age - numbers are almost useless without any escalation.

I say that in this day and age - makeouts are useless without a bang. The average 22 year old has been "making out" for a decade or more so a makeout with some random dude in a club or bar....yawn

Some would say numbers are useless, some girls give them out to get rid of you. I don't get excited about getting a number, I sometimes feel it is an opportunity lost. I guess it all depends when you are getting them, nightgame vs daygame.

I don't understand the point of making out with a girl in public. Once you get them behind closed doors, then kissing them would hopefully lead to a bang.

A true alpha texts when it's convenient for him to text, not because of x, y, z. He has so much going on for him (in professional life and sex-life), he doesn't care about one more girl's number in his phone. Having said that, a minuscule proportion of males is in this situation (either subjectively or objectively or both). Nonetheless, you can strive to become one.

Sometimes I get numbers forget to call/text back my lifes hectic.
She took like 3-4 hours text back after I establish who I was she text no long then 5 minutes at a time. After establishing a solid connection she gives me the impression shes socially awkward; and has eccentric taste. Not your typical latin girl.
