I am trying to figure out how to raise half a year's living expenses.

Context:
I am a young man, about grad age. I work a throwaway part time job and can only save a small amount of money at a time. No debts, at least. I have just enough liquidity for budget game.

So, it seems that at the moment, the only "investment" I can get a worthwhile return from is game.
I want to figure out how to get smallish but not insignificant amounts of money from women, strictly as a voluntary and consenting gifts. Say a few hundred to a thousand per go.

Initial outlay:
-Time for daygame/online dating and for subsequent text chatting
-Drink or two for self at public venue (going dutch - a good way to sound out her money mentality)
-A few bottles of plonk at home
-Pasta with home made sauce (or similar light fare)
-Making use of my already decent wardrobe

Concerns:
-Lack of money may cramp my style in a noticeable way, even if it only shows in a second of hesitation, hence my preference for home cooking. I'll iron out this psychological wrinkle with a little practice, but if anyone has a good anecdote, it could save me some time.
-I do not look poor and my style doesn't suggest a poor background. Well, maybe this isn't a real concern, certainly not to start with.
-I'm not an actor. Most of my charm lies in the fact that I genuinely do not care whether they live or die, but still enjoy their company. So sob stories are out of the question. I can do melancholic, but not urgent.

Potential Methods:
-The Pusscrook method (his threads are recommended reading,) which, if I recall rightly, mainly consists of receiving material gifts, not cash. This is probably the smoothest way to do it, since it plays on women's nurturing instincts, and material gifts have more of an emotional meaning for the giver than cash.
-Playing the entrepreneur. Not even a lie. I genuinely do hope to start a business of my own, though any money she puts towards it (strictly as a personal donation) would mostly likely be spent on food and rent as I do my research. Trouble with this is that business bores women - if she's not enthusiastic, I'll sound like a salesman. So it would need to be a very picturesque concept - saving the world with environmentally friendly whatever, say.

What are your thoughts on this subject?

Not to be offensive but I find it a bit beta. I personally turn to feminine women to feel appreciated as a man, not to go dutch on dinners.

I believe what most of us seek in life is to be financially and emotionally independent, i.e. exactly the opposite of what you described.

There's nothing beta about getting women to do shit for you.

With enough game, yeah I suppose you could make a living sponging off a harem of women. I know more than a handful of guys who couchsurfed with friends and random chicks for months at a time. I don't envy their lifestyle because they're poor as shit and you burn a lot of bridges as a parasite.

I see you live in America. You should be able to find some way to make money. What are you good at?

Here are a few examples of what I'm talking about.

• Get an account on Fiver and do five dollar gigs. You have a ton of options here, it could be writing resumes, converting files to PDF (a lot of simple motherfuckers out there), a motivational speech, whatever.
• Start an etsy account and make a bunch of gay arts and crafts. A lot of women spend their child support on wreaths and glass beads.
• Write an ebook and sell it on Amazon. Erotic fiction is a lively market, I hear.
• Play an instrument in the street for tips. When I went out last weekend, there was a guy playing guitar by the bars down the street. He must have had a hundred dollars worth of ones and fives in his guitar case.
• You could learn how to code.
• Tutor online (I haven't looked into this so your mileage may vary).
• Buy local antiques and try to hawk them on ebay or craigslist.

Fact is in this economy where as many as 25% of recent male grads are unemployed or underemployed doing Starbux, McDs or Craigslist day jobs for food and rent money...

If you have the looks and style you say - I read recently that one of the largest growth markets is the 30+ new cougars - working in the corporate world where it is NSFW to be romantic with coworkers as the HR nazis swing both ways. They need love too and are willing to pay as sugar mommies to lock in steady satisfaction.

So these 30 and 40 year old corporate women have been taking too the Sugar Sites to sign up as sugar mommies to young male sugar babies - so rather than game random struggling chicks your own age for a few bucks or on the other end of the spectrum going to socialite events to game old dowagers as their Gigolos for game show level cash and prizes...

You could wind up spinning sugar game in your favor using game to flip the script and keep a few SMs (sugar mommies) in your constant rotation with the explicit understanding of both support for your body and mind as well as your future development.

If I was 24 again and had not hit the inheritance or full ride athletic scholarship lottery - and was not gay - this is actually a tried and true method to get your act together.

In NYC it was the Patron model where an older woman often married would be a creative writer or artists patron in exchange for some afternoon matinee wooding sessions that fit into her family and social obligations. (Netflix the Movie Breakfast at Tiffany's as a primer and don't be a brooding sort like George Peppard was). Live it and own it.

In Hollywood if you study the careers of the likes of John Wayne, Clark Gable and even Cary Grant (George Clooney had a famous aunt who he stayed with and opened doors for him) when these straight men were young and new to the biz they found accomplished older actresses in Hollywood mostly who were as we now say staring at the wall but still hot enough (cougars today) to get it wet with established connections in the industry and would take these young up and coming future mega stars under their wings and move them in as lovers and proteges and clothe, style and groom them, act as their acting coaches at their expense and help them strategically network at the right watering holes and high end parties to mix and mingle with the mega movers and shakers of their day.

Then as the proteges would become established in their careers it added to the fading cache of the aging cougars and give them cred as agents, stylists, image consultants and allowed them to stay connected to the biz and still ride the carousel of life. Of course the male stars then added young ingenues to their rotations as their fame game and finances grew as well feeding the cycle of mentors and proteges women and men for mutual satisfaction and profit.

It is now the pre-holiday charity ball season in most major cities so time to take action and go for it.

Oh don't underestimate the value of using game and marrying money as these events often feature young ladies of means at their events - just learn the old fortune hunting screening questions and survival techniques (google any woman's magazine they are littered with articles on the topic).

Everything that is old becomes new again...

Right, but the OP didn't list any marketable skills and most part time jobs are in retail or food service, which pay shit. Banging 40 year old women with money is a great idea, though.

It's a matter of perspective, so no offence taken.
It would be easier to shack up with a woman and save my rent money than to get that same amount from her, but I value the independence of living alone.
My long term goal is to be self-sufficient; this is just a means to that end. If I hook a big enough fish, I'll start funnelling the money into stocks and bonds. Till then, I'll practise getting pocket money.

Solid advice, but I have some non-rational motivations at work. I would get a kick out of receiving money from a number of women. Sex isn't really a big enough victory for me.
And I'm not sure it necessarily takes a lot of game to have a harem, so long as you compartmentalise it. If you can win one woman over, you can win another, and just pencil her in for wednesday evenings. The main limit seems to be time and energy.

You can become a driver for uber and use it as a means of getting to know cougars. They are a lot of cougars in NYC. You could get them to buy shit for you, I'm not experienced in this field tho. We have a member called Cattle Rustler who's a pro at this. Maybe he'd like to share his thoughts.

Yeah the idea sounds beta as fuck to me. A woman's purpose in life is sex and to have babies. All she can do is provide a moist hole for us to fuck, and in return she'll try to leach all of our resources, whether it's time or money (whether or not you give her your resources if your decision). If you're trying to take a woman's resources (money) then you're acting like a woman. I don't think it's possible to be a real adult man if you're relying on other people for shit, or at least working to be self sufficient.

There is a thread here where some of us discussed the characters in the popular film Casino.

There are three men, at various points in the timeline of the story, involved with the main female character, Ginger. The character played by James Woods, Lester Diamond, is the archetypal sponger. For me, that would be the modus operandi of a successful sponger. Minimum investment and maximum return.

The opinions in the thread are all quite far from each other

Another type of sponger is the Pimp. Roosh recently wrote a blog article about Iceberg Slim's book Pimp: The Story Of My Life. It's an interesting book that I would recommend. However the type of 'sponging' he engages in requires a lot of game and mental energy, not many people are capable of it.

The main question would be: what do you want to acquire from your sponging?

You could just want regular sex and somewhere to stay and eat regularly. Acquiring significant amounts of money from sponging would require you to be very experienced in the game, and also require you to do things that you might have some guilt about later!

You're much better off developing yourself as a man, earning your own money, and having a wide variety of options on every level.

You need to get a skill set. If college is not your thing Go into trade school and be productive while young. Learn plumbing , electric , become an ASE certified mechanic

To me, sponging sounds like an excuse to be lazy. You would be a parasite on a host; sucking them dry of resources and being a plague. Don't be that kind of person. Hard work will always reward you. Effort is the key to success.

It's not a long term vision so much as a stopgap measure. Like an oil-rig stint, if you will. Who would want to live there?
I have no intention of allowing a woman to hold the purse-strings for long - which is why I want to use them to build up my own resources.
That is, in fact, the only reason I am pursuing this line of action. I already live in reasonable comfort. What I want is independence.

I don't mind being parasitic. I really don't buy into the idealisation of work - if anything, this is just another form of employment.
A plumber deals with a certain amount of shit - and so does a parasite. Maybe a true plumber or a true lover would do it for free, but I'd rather be a well-paid kind of person.
