Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I’m not a Catholic but isn’t it pretty obvious that homosexuality is unacceptable in Christianity? Jesus may not have specifically referred to it but there’s plenty of verses in the old Testament which are anti-gay. Jesus’ criticism of the Jews was mainly about corruption at the Jewish Temple wasn’t it? I severely doubt he gave a second thought to gays.

The Pope shouldn’t be a pussy and make it clear that being gay isn’t acceptable in the Christian faith. If I was the Pope I would give Obama shit for being pro-gay.

One thing I respect Muslims and Orthodox Jews for is their non-willingness to compromise for SJWs. I don’t agree with a lot of their beliefs, but at least they have the balls to stand up for their beliefs.

It is unacceptable. Always has been. This pope however has been the first pope to say that "Yes! Jesus loves gays too" crap. That's why the media loves him because he's a "new" kind of pope, one that embraces leftist ideology and includes everyone.

There has always been a conflicted ideology within the catholic church about this issue. On one hand, you have the bible that is very anti-gay. On the other hand, people can't get their head around a loving Jesus who denies people for whatever reason. If Jesus loves everyone, including sinners, he must love gays too, the thinking goes.

This is the first pope that has embraced gayness. So sad.

If there was ever proof that organized religion is a racket, this is it. Even as a guy who's not religious, I'd have more respect for the Catholic Church if they stuck to their guns and, you know, showed conviction. It clear now they're just positioning themselves to stay relevant and keep the $$$s flowing.

Good point. The devout Catholics, the ones that donate every week and try to live life by the Bible, will feel sold out. The Catholics per convenience crowd might start going at first, but they'll stop once they realize they have to get up early and can't go to the Miley Cyrus concert on Saturday night.

It also looks like the previous Pope was ousted by a Gay mafia. At first, I thought this was speculation but now it seems this Cardinal is admitting that a Gay Mafia forced the previous pope to resign.

His Holiness seems to have given in to the self-destructive belief that "the Church must open up and liberalize in order to thrive in the 21st century", ignoring the fact that any religious institution that does so fades away and is destroyed soon after (see the numerous evangelical and protestant offshoots with female or homosexual priests around USA, whose church attendance consists mostly of middle-aged women and a few confused cuckolds).

The Bible clearly instructs the faithful to stay faithful and weather storms, not to adapt, liberalize or try to placate the corrupt. The wisdom of this instruction can be clearly seen in the case of the Orthodox church, whose numbers and attendance rates are growing by the day, as its strength and firmness attracts the faithful and rewards their devotion, instead of cowardly giving in like other churches.

While I agree with the concept that the Left is infiltrating the Catholic Church in its top ranks, don't forget that the same process is happening at all hierarchical levels from top to bottom, down to the individual parish. Catholics, just like everyone else, aren't immune to the gradual spread of progressive/liberal ideas that is currently taking place among the population in the West.

It's enough to attend any mass in your local church or join any activity organized by a Catholic parish to witness first-hand what I'm talking about. The corruption and decadence is so strong. To make an extreme comparison, imagine facing your average Catholic community with a battalion of ISIS jihadists. First they'd welcome them with open hands, with feminized choirs singing about the beauty of dialogue, diversity and forgiveness, then they'd expel anyone who might suggest it's not a good idea to deal with these people on friendly terms, and then they'd have their children enslaved, their women raped, and their men decapitated.

John Sobieski, Richard Lionheart and Charles Martel must be rolling over in their graves.
