Nothing in OP indicates that he's "pedestalized" this girl,...he hasn't spent any money on her, and he hasn't gone out of his way to see her,... he hasn't put her on a pedestal in any way.

Wasting time isn't pedastalizing for me. In addition I am not able to predict to future. Therefore I have to make decisions not from a retroperspective. I thought I was close and I tried to improve my skills. Although it didn't work out with this girl I became overall way more aggressive regarding escalation.

You know... There is one more thing you can try. Plan a weekend vacation with her. Keep it simple and don't spend a lot of money or effort planning it. Try to plan it around newmoon(lunar cycle). Stay at a hotel with a pool.
