Not long ago in Europe (I'm going only going back as late as 2nd half of the 20th C), not only were slippery things routinely full on tolerated, you actually had wives procuring other young women for their husbands. Had he lived in Germany or France or Denmark in 1970s and looked like Tom Brady, the party would have still be going on, and his wife would have never divorced him... because she would have been dutifully supplying him the fresh meat.

Guys, you don't realize how profoundly times have changed. AND just how liberal Europe once was. Going by the today's American standards, half of European men of last 100 years (including many of still famous artists, writers, scientists and politicians) would have been felons... or rotting away in Guantanamo or some shit.

There are some good points being made and while it's very un-politically correct to say it... sex with a teenager is not pedophilia! It is against the law though and by all accounts this is not a case of misidentity or an older teen having sex with a younger teen.

This age of consent stuff is really very new! Jerry Lee Lewis was 14 years old when he got married first (to his 17 year old wife). His third marriage was to his 13 year old cousin at the height of his fame lol. He was heavily criticized by the press in England when he tried to tour there but the implications here in the states weren't as severe.

Elvis began courting Priscilla when he was 24 and she was 14. I'm not saying they F'd but... given the details of their courtship there is a pretty good chance there was a lil somethin going on.

Many hackers are caught because they bragged to other people. Child porn people get caught for similar reasons. For one, it takes connections to get the better material, and lots of time it's FBI agents undercover.

Another thing - possibly - is he's looking for an outside source to help him rationalize what he's doing. Since she didn't give any direct defiance to him when he started to share his thoughts and what he was doing, he got the confirmation he was looking for that what he was doing wasn't really that bad. Although, little did he know it was all a guise, and she went to the FBI instead of letting him know her thoughts.

Dictionary correct. But that's not quite the full story.

The media calls all sex with anyone under the age of consent paedophilia. In reality, there are three distinct forms:

Paedophilia - strong or persistent sexual preference for prepubescent children, i.e. in the 0-10 age category

Hebephilia - strong or persistent sexual preference for pubescent (i.e early adolescent) children, i.e. in the 11-14 range

Ephebophilia - strong or persistent sexual preference for late adolescent minors, i.e. in the 15-19 range.

Jared seems to fall into hebephilia, and still deserves to be assraped with a red hot poker. These categories are slightly blurry, of course, especially ephebophilia, given the way age of consent moves up and down in the 16-18 age range depending on where you are. But hebephilia and paedophilia are a lot more alike and both amount to preying on a child whose sexual and psychological development are nowhere near complete.
