Hey OP, I just want to say thanks.

I have been feeling pretty shitty since yesterday and this thread brightened me up a little bit.

You're still a young chick so there's still time to turn things around, but that is up to you.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

Look, there is nothing wrong with picking up women and sleeping with them if that's what both parties want. However, things like negging are kind of manipulative. I don't think you need to try to lower anyone's self-esteem to try to make yourself feel better. When he did it to me, I knew exactly what he was doing and even joked about it. I just think that teaching men to be "alpha" and telling them to do shitty things like lie, deceive, and manipulate them is horrible. Women do this to guys too, of course... i'm not saying that is okay. I just wish people were more honest and weren't trying to play with emotions and all of that. I think this forum is a space for men who feel insecure and unworthy... they try to measure up and compare themselves to other men and that's how they determine their self-worth. i don't think it gives some guys "real" confidence. It might teach them how to talk to more women, so they get more results, yeah. However, i feel like the honesty in conversation is lost...and you see women as "targets" rather than people. It's like we are some kind of rare Pokemon.. and not in a good way. i am a very shy person and would never come up to a guy first, so there is definitely a lot of pressure for men in that respect. However, on this forum, there is a lot of misogyny going on and it seems like the negativity outweighs the actual self-help stuff.

I was extremely comfortable with him. i knew he negged me and it bothered me at first.. but after I knew what a neg was, I joked about it with him every time he did it to me. He was manipulative in other ways-- like making me feel guilty when he was in the wrong (and has never apologized for anything to this day). I think that when i get comfortable with someone, it is hard to leave them. It takes me a while to open up and all.

RE: I dated a PUA--Should I expose him?
I came onto this thread and immediately thought...this started out like a gender reversal of the the slutwalk flasher

and then ended/or is ending up like Rousey vs. Mousasi

Either way, its like an "as it happens" example of the stereotypes repeated on this forum. Its like a dude in a dirty baseball hat with a confederate flag patch, cowboy boots a sleveless t-shirt and a lifted 4x4 driving up to you and saying "Hey...I know what you're thinking, but I'm not a redneck"

looking for a new signature.

Yeah he's a naturally offensive person albeit he might not see it. I think he does use some of the advice on here but at the same time, he says he does not agree with Roosh's views. He tries to act alpha and feigns confidence but I know he's got insecurities like all of us. Nothing wrong with that, but no need to be an asshole about it. I actually painted him something for his birthday... after he dumped me the first time since he was still seeing his ex and I caught him in his lies.
