Joe Buddden called him out on him simpish behavior in the linked video. You would think that Meek Mill, would be used to bagging attractive women, but he's been displaying a ton of simpish behavior in alot of his interviews and concerts, basically worshiping Nikki. Considering the fact that she likes hood dudes, you gotta wonder if dude is eventually going to work his way out of her good graces with his sappy behavior.

Quote:I’m like, ‘I don’t really hold hands, but I’ll hold hands with you.’ She knows that. Like, I don’t really do things but certain people make you do certain little stuff, and it be like, ‘Sh-t, I don’t care.’ They can catch me in the pictures doing anything nowadays, holding an umbrella for Nicki, you know what I’m saying?’

http://necolebitchie.com/2015/04/meek-mi...ka-haters/

Joe Budden is a simp. A simp to self hatred. Darkskins? I don't want to derail the thread but I'm getting tired of all this whining and jabs at black men from one shade spectrum or the other. Joe Budden has no room to talk, all the shit in his background. If he was younger he would be right there with Drake if anything. His crime was being too tall, lightskinned, and handsome in a rougher age of hiphop and few people took him seriously except for his hometown. He used to rap like he was hard with those wack tattoos.

Budden is just like that baby faced model with the teardrop tattoo, hoes on Twitter were going crazy for that good looking felon got arrested for robbery or whatever. Lame. He did not call anyone out for simpery. He could not even articulate the reasons why Meek is a simp, he just jabbed at his dark skin. He could have attacked him in more meaningful ways than that. You can tell he wanted to cap on Nikki but you can tell he was too pussy to do that infront of that other female. He had to do what everyone else does and be PC about it, then take it a step further and shit on another nigga's skintone, because male on male hate is always acceptable. God forbid we ever call out hoes for being what they truly are with no accountability. That chick insinuated Budden was kind of being jealous, and he said nothing to disprove her. Weak. Just like his rap career.

Budden gets no props from me with that garbage.

Which is funny because Jay -Z word of advice to Drake was his experience as a rapper. Travelkai already talk about him and there is proof of it such as Big Pimpin was not going to made because of UGK was unsure working with Jay. That Ether song by Nas in short called him a groupie, a biter, and backstabber and more. Had that man crying on radio. Look at him now, king of subliminal even when getting diss by rappers such as the Game and a legend. Now look at Drake. His groupie behaviors was called out by Gucci Mane already and his rumors of having writers was already proven with settlements and allegations by writers before Meek spill. At the same time, for years hip-hop has been nothing but super friends squad producing pop-like hits to make money while passively insulting one another. You know it is bad when radio station have to instigate beef because of too much subliminal going around instead of reporting beef because of direct call out. Drake is not the only one.

Now look at Meek. A man who made a few songs with Drake now huffing and puffing about Drake. Everything was all good when they made Amen and his new album together. Now like Cassidy, Wale, Safaree, Ar-Ab, and 50 Cent, he is showing his snakelike tendencies. Simply, he calling Drake out on his fraud ways while associating with Rick Ross. A man who should have no footprints at all in rap. But radio and the people shrug and said " Rick Ross make good music." A qoute that should let even the most casual fans of hip-hop know to been wary of this genre for now on. A week ago, Meek Mill " I Got the Juice" was dicussed by Detroit people on a hip-hop forum who stated he copy off a teen rapper named Lil George " I Got the Sauce ." TMZ just reported on this two days ago. With that being said, it is best to remain neutral in this beef which is not high grade anyway compare to the old times.

Spot on.

Jay Z basically used game in his beef with Nas. He admitted defeat in a form of "Agree and Amplify". It truly made Nas look like the evil villain in the whole ordeal. Nas had to do a lot of squash and love fest shit for months on MTV and other outlets. It was like Jigga's move got people to think about Pac and Biggie again. I honestly think it slightly hurt his career and image. Especially with female fans. Lots of fans in the South hated on Nas for messing with Jigga. Not most but enough to be noticeable, because they like Jigga for his collabs with Southern rappers like UGK.

End game is what matters. Gucci Mane is in prison like a dumbass AGAIN, last time I read something about him. You cannot make the team in the hot tub, and you damn sure cannot push beef or records from the inside of a cage either. It's also fitting for a cocaine rapper and criminal, someone NAS inadvertently dissed for killing hiphop, for calling someone else out for being fraud with their writing. Seriously. What does Gucci Mane talk about? Money and dope, which basically it all means money. What does Drake have that Gucci does not have? Money. Basically the kind of hater Kosko keeps talking about. Most of these dudes are just jealous. If you gonna hate on Drake, at least do it right. It also helps to have room to talk the trash in the first place. Lupe can talk. Gucci Mane has zero room to talk about any kind of art.

Damn! Never knew Nas had to go through that and Jay was the one putting that pressure on first.

Nah. It was not hate, it was basically real recognize real and Drake was one of the many people he called out. Now is he is a dumbass. Yup. Prime example of a real nigga keeping it real goes wrong mixtute. Instead of making his money (he is like Dr.Dre of the South. Nikki spoke highly of him) and earned reputation keep him the game for a long time.

Not sure if I follow you.... If GM called out a lot of people including Drake for not keeping it real, how is that still not hating on him? GM problem is that he keeps it too real. Actually too thuggish. Collecting automatic weapons, having ties to shootings, drugs, all while having priors is not "real". That is just fucking stupid. GM is stupid. You will have a tough time proving that he isn't. Thuggery, crime, ,guns, dope, etc. is not HipHop. Cocaine rappers have zero credibility on artform because they are the same idiots that killed it in the first place.

What was Drake being not real about? Again my previous question has yet to be answered. Where is the hypocrisy from Drake? Why did anyone expect him not to have a ghost writer? If he is ~85% or more organic, why is that worth calling him out on? Drake is not Mos Def keeping it pure. This nigga is a businessman first. Dude is pop as fuck. Call the GhostWriter Police when someone like Pharaoh Monch is discovered to have had a ghostwriter or someone like that. All this latest beef on Drake just seems unrealistic as fuck. There are a million other things to rag on this cat for, this is something I actually expected him to be doing. I am actually surprised he writes most of his stuff.

Budden has been slobberin' all over Tahiry for years, he even tried to get her to marry him, and he got two-hand rejected like Ron Mercer.

When it comes to talking about simpin', he can't say anything, he's the captain of Team Sitthefuckdownandshutthefuckup when it comes to that conversation.

This is two years ago as you can see from the tweets.     . On the groupie behavior. During that time he was fring off on Nikki, Ti, Migos, Jeezy, Em, and 50, etc., Gucci is very reckless. As for Drake being real or fake or having a ghostwriter only matter now despite the mountain of evidence in the past is because he is running the game. Despite all the phony, friendly vibes you get from hip-hop today, it is still hip-hop. It was only a matter of time someone call him out. I don't see him as a hyprocite or fake.
That title goes to Meek Mill.

RE: Is Drake The Softest Rapper of All Time?
This may not end well for Drake. Those lines were 2 nice touches, but wasn't Meek a battle rapper before going mainstream? Like others have said, nowadays rappers cannot diss as well as the past gen rappers did. There is alot of material to rip Drake a new asshole with. Question is, if Meek goes fed on him and tears him up real bad, will it hurt his career more than Drake's?

As a die-hard hip hop head, this "beef" is the most vegan shit I've heard in a while. These dudes ain't known to have bars.

It's like two four year olds beefing at the build a bear workshop. A couple of juice boxes and a nice little nap will stop them from being so cranky.

Surprised Meek is still getting the benefit of the doubt honestly. Sure he was a battle rapper, but cats forget that he got destroyed by Cassidy(and arguably some other local Philly guy named Cysserro) too so his record on wax isn't that great honestly. Meek also has a tendency to brag about his money and shout too much on tracks rather than say anything substantive. It's still early though, so we shall see.

Cassidy is in the upper elite crust of battle rappers (out of popular ones at least). Of course he lost that beef. Very few cats can fuck with Cas like that. That beef bout was a mismatch from jump street.

If Meek sucks now, maybe this fight will be better than expected! Laugh

RE: Is Drake The Softest Rapper of All Time?
Drake is going to come out on top when all is said and done.

I like the parallels made by other posters about how Jay Z managed to come out of the Nas beef and go on to further success.

Meek is not a good lyricist. His whole persona and style is based upon shouting loudly, getting hype and bragging about money and cars.

What's he gonna say about Drake exactly? Meek is worth like 4 million dollars to Drakes 80. He ain't got nothing to brag about.

If he just gets all angry and starts shouting he's going to look like a tool. He is already a tool for starting this whole pathetic beef.

Like him or not Drake is a global superstar now. Meek is just Nicki Minaj's boyfriend now getting his hair brushed in music videos.

I don't see what he's going to attack Drake with. He doesn't write his own tracks? Done that and nobody cares. Him being beta with women? Meek drops a new video of him and his girl taking selfies getting his hair brushed. That Drake isn't from the streets and that he is a poser? Drake has never claimed to be from the hood or anything like that as far as I'm aware.

Nah I just ain't seeing it. Meek is a fool. No matter what happens we all know who's going to be selling out stadium tours and putting out platinum albums in 5 years time...

And it sure as hell won't be Meek.

RE: Is Drake The Softest Rapper of All Time?
drake coming out on top is a watershed moment for hip hop...it's going to open the floodgates for a lot more frauds.
I was going to type out a bunch off stuff, but somebody on another forum worded what I wanted to say a lot better:

Quote:this is an obvious L for the culture of hip hop. we've blatantly seen the direct higher up connections he has come out in full force to save his reputation from being completely demolished. there is apart of me that really is furious. it's a industry plant thing. it's an oppresion thing. it's favoritism. it's corporate greed. it's biting. there's so many angles to this that would infuriate a person who literally grew up in the culture.

i'm watching something that was black turn white and lose it's soul. i can clearly see how wrong this is while just about everyone else is cosigning it because they either don't want to be on the wrong side or just want to go along with what's cool....or you're just not going to say anything because you don't want to ruffle any feathers. the whole entire point of hip hop has been to ruffle feathers. hip hop has been calling out phonies, fakes and imitators since it's inception. faking and biting whether consensual or not is a cardinal sin in this game and right before my eyes i'm watching it become celebrated.

this one event opens the floodgates for a different type of artist to enter the scene. one that doesn't have to prove themselves with the skill of a real mc. this is the artist they wanted all along but couldn't push because at one time the public wouldn't stand for it. a hip hop artist/rapper that's using someone elses lines? get the fukk out of here. but now....within a weeks time, it's all good. this is okay....kids are rooting for this. adults are rooting for this. everything hip hop stood for is reversed because one guy had all the money and power backing him. hip hop started out as an authentic means to communicate a narrative of the ghetto when there were no suits of any kind paying attention. it was the voice of the mc telling his or her own truth.

i can't say i haven't known for a long time that hip hop has been controlled by money but this is different. this is the reversal of everything that it's about. you have a half black and white jew from upper suburbia using the platform to assert himself to the top with his television connections, just like a white kid who's father works at a major corporation. he can use daddy's position for an internship and later take over the company in a few short years without any real work put in. then you have meek....a clear child and product of the ghetto...grew up in the meanest streets in philly and well known in the battle scene. he grinded his way out. the streets spoke for him when ross came to philly. the streets told ross that he had to see about this kid meek....not connections,

now meek is the fraud and drake is the hero. drake is the creative genius and meek is the loud mouthed goon. the soft spoken Canadian who manages to get a 20 million deal with apple, host the espys and have his image plastered on billboards with nas biggie and rakim is now the face of the culture. yet he has others writing for him....this shyt just blows my mind. i'm witnessing a sad day in hip hop history but i'm just going to keep it moving. like someone said in another thread....hip hop belongs to the suits now. they knew what they were doing from day 1 with drake.

What does he mean by Drake used his connections to get ahead. Does he mean the connections he made while doing the Degrassi. How did those connections help him get a head in hip hop can someone explain.

There's a lot of real talk in there, but you have a guy known as a battle rapper just sitting on the couch with his chick brushing his hair while another dude is throwing napalms from the studio.

At this point, there's no real point in responding. He's already been knocked out, and the crowd is carrying Drake on its shoulders out of the arena.

Yea but the dude has the gist of it captured. Hiphop is now as authentic as the Spice girls. This is why you are able to have Auzzies like Izzy even pull off those gibberish imitations and have people even bother debate it.

That's really all it is, but it's the most entertaining thing going on in rap right now.
