Let's look at the numbers -

$5 mil is 0.5% of a billion.
Being a billionaire he's mostly like 50 y/o.

Imagine an average 50 y/o with an expendable net worth of $200,000. Spending 0.5% like spending $1,000.

It's a bit more complicated than that. Publicly hiring pornstars doesn't look very good. Normally your reputation and family name is important if you're old money. For the nouveau riche some of them don't care, but his kids will later on.

I can give a peek into this world. I'm not in that 10 figure club but I run with them at times. About 10 years a ago someone in a group I hung with bought a Caribbean island. Within about 6 months the rest of the group were buying up islands. Part of it seemed to be pissing rights and another part was they could more easily hang with each other when on vacation. The point being money wasn't important, being viewed well in the group was.

This guy will certainly be hit up by every gold-digger/hooker/IG whore in the world. But how does that help him? He can get any of those girls now without any trouble. For all we know one of his friends/enemies mentioned

HA! This stuff is beyond common (well not the porn star public outing).
