Hypergamy is not the issue, because it's part of their makeup. What is an issue is unrestrained completely uncontrolled hypergamy that in the end-phase destroys civilization itself.

That's why their instinctive hypergamy is best controlled and softly guided by their mothers or fathers or they destroy themselves anyway - making themselves single mothers, trying to pin down Alphas for 15 years, fucking way above their class and thinking that any moment now that Superman is going to wife them up.

There is nothing wrong with "sniffing around", but that's not what they are doing. Most women now don't even think about settling down until they are 25+ fucking away their hottest years where they could actually pin down the Superman.

Also as far as cuckoldry is concerned - does anyone know real numbers?

Studies are strangly absent - 4% it is according to this one, but they compared old surnames like Smith and the like and it seems to me a bit limited.

Personally I think that the number of cuckold children in the whole population is 10-20% for most Western countries. So essentially you have either someone else's child as your own or you pay at least child-support for another man's child. That does not mean that 10-20% of children are cuckoo children - just that sometimes one of 4 siblings is not the father's - "a little indiscretion" as they call it.

And it all matters - excusing women's behavior now is terrible really. The only advantage is that we can fuck more easy women on the cheap. It's great fun for Players - for the rest it's shit.

There is really only one answer at the end of the day. Men must marry way younger women. 35 year old men to 22 year old women. 60 year old men to 35 year old women. A man must be way ahead of the woman he is trying to lead in life.

I don't think you can turn a 35-year old carousel rider into a good mother/woman who's capable of understanding love, relationships, supporting her man, motherhood etc. They are too far gone - caught up in all the attention (real or not) and their careers, the lies they've been told, the misandry that they essentially believe by and large, etc. Hell up to 1/3 of them are doped up on some sort of anti-depressent ta boot. It is purely transactional for a 60 year old man. He gets tits and ass and she gets access to resources.
You are right though. A 35 year old bitch is going to tear a 40 year old virgin male a new asshole. A man must know his prey. Go young or go home.

Right.....

60 is the new 45, but it takes a lot TRT, workout, diet and some beauty ops to get there.

Stallone would get laid without fame too btw.

My grandfather was in his 70's dating a 40 y.o. He was on a meager retirement and social security pension. But he was part of The Greatest Generation and had class. That was the generation I idiolized and emulated, thus joining the Marines to carry the torch. That generation is gone and Millenials have no one to tea h them but Baby Boomers, which are draft dodgers and have wrecked this country proper.

This is why boys now see everything as transactional and get bitter over buying an appetizer for a girl that didn't put out. There's no class in that mentality, and in turn automatically disqualifies them to quality females. You can't put the cart before the horse. Ever.

In all fairness, Stallone isn't really a good example, besides being a celebrity dude has basically been a jacked up steroid using body builder since his 20's, that's basically 40 years of training and roids. Even if a guy gets started on TRT and continues training through his 40's, it's doubtful he'll look anything like Stallone.

Plus even if Stallone wasn't famous it takes time and money to attain a physique and looks like that at that age. Testosterone probably isn't that expensive, but I hear HGH is taxed as fucked, ideally we'll all be rich and retired after we hit our mid-40's, but a lot of us aren't going to have a great deal of expendable time and income.

Good point though, if you want longevity in the dating market/game, you got to look your damn best and youngest, especially once you hit your 40's. Personally, I don't know if I have it in me to be gaming forever, I just turned 31 and I'm already burning out on all the bullshit and games you got to play if you want to consistently pull above a 7 in the U.S. (at least based on my experience, I'm not a male 10).

That said, the reality of the situation based on my past and current experiences is that it will be very hard to find an attractive young American woman who has all the qualities that I desire for a serious LTR or marriage, (some examples: honest, loyal, compassionate, intelligent, etc.)

Therefore I am starting to think and feel that I may single for the long haul, I got to maintain my looks as long as possible, because I may be in this game for a while.

Agreed. I'm in a very similar position as you. It's making me think of a better long-term plan. There are options out of the U.S., which I'm starting to consider if I want a family, but I've still got some bodybuilding and professional setting up to do. Or, just continue to save and then bail.

It's taking a lot of effort to psyche me up to dedicate hours to daygaming, or optimizing my living situation for that. Maybe the reward just isn't high enough.

The reward of daygaming isn't the chicks you get from daygaming, it's the personality you develop as a result of daygaming.

So the reward must be enough, because the reward is you. Smile

RE: Why Bother? - even your unicorn doesn't solve the problem
(04-24-2015 02:49 PM)Days of Broken Arrows Wrote:  Jezebel ignores all positive stories and innovations by men and instead focuses on men that abuse women or commit crimes. In my opinion, we spend too much time going on about how nasty women are and we're becoming willfully blind to the fact that there are ones who are dedicated to their husbands throughout their lives.

I think the "hypergamy doesn't lie" idea is the manosphere's version of "all men are rapists." I don't buy it. There's truth in it, sure, but I think men see what they want to see and ignore what doesn't fit their worldview.

Here's the thing though, according to FBI statistics, "the rate of forcible rapes in 2011 was estimated at 52.7 per 100,000 female inhabitants."

So what most people think of when they hear the word rape (violent sexual assualt) is happening to less than 1% of women. That's why the SJW crowd has to conjure up bullshit statistics to support their narrative about a "rape culture". They want to stir up a panic about something that statistics suggest has a far smaller chance of occurring than feminists would like us to believe.

Your chances of being divorced as a man however, having your wife ditch you, take your kids, boot you out of your home and turn in you into a human ATM machine. Well the chances of that happening to you are lot higher than half a percent. Hell they're even higher than the 1 out 5 number the feminists make up.

Feminists want everyone to believe that women who accuse a man of rape face an uphill battle getting people to believe their story. Well "mattress girl" and Jackie Coakly are two high profile cases that have shown otherwise. Everyone bent over backwards to support these "victims" and their make-believe stories.

Men on the other hand do in fact face an uphill battle when they find themselves in a divorce court. Look at who's getting custody and who's writing alimony/child-support checks.

That's the difference between them and us. Statistics actually support our narrative.

Men should be a lot more cautious about women than they currently are. You can point to women who didn't leave their husbands...but I'm betting I could point to just as many who did.

I am 40 now and most of my buddies are around the same age. Those guys that go out regularly work out.

The diet has to be better as well.

Here PUA Jabba at 39+:

Here Dr. Graham - raw vegan - 80-10-10 diet deveoloper at 60:

But he does it without Stallone's Botox and beauty ops (yes Stallone had plenty of them, but they are well-done, because he is so fucking fit).

But of course we should not kid ourselves - men have a wall too - we can stress it from 45 to 65 at best. By age 70 you better be a sugar-daddy, albeit with expensive hormone treatment you can look like that:

Just don't let your face atrophy like that, because then not much can be done later about it. Keeping very fit from end 30s onward is advisable.

RE: Why Bother? - even your unicorn doesn't solve the problem
(04-24-2015 01:09 AM)Days of Broken Arrows Wrote:  Of my fortysomething friends who got married and stayed married, virtually all of them met their wives in high school or early on in college. If I had any brains, I'd have done this with some of the higher-quality women I dated in college who were virgins and ready and willing to bond. But for some reason, that seemed cliche and small-town to me and I had to follow my own path.

Which, of course, led me here, where I'm remembering these girls on a chilly Thursday night at 2 a.m. as opposed to actually having lived life with them.

DoBA, I hope you will not take it amiss if I admit that I cringed slightly when I read that last sentence.

This image of a very intelligent adult man indulging in an attitude of false nostalgia about his now remote youth; regarding his life as essentially incomplete without the one longed for female that was supposed to give it meaning and repletion; and retaining idle hopes for this mythical creature, all this on a "chilly" night as if the chill somehow added to the pathos -- it strikes me as almost a personification of the attitude that is properly characterized as beta.

If all a man can do, at the glorious and serious age of forty-something, is to sit around on what he feels with a certain shudder is a "chilly night" and mope about how one's entire life has not been spent with that one girl -- not even a particular one, just any one of a whole bevy that seems to beckon from a hazy sentimentalized past -- then this represents, to my mind, pedestalization taken to an extreme. It shows very little independence of any kind from women and from the beta male's most characteristic idea of the female mate as the one and only sovereign presence that breathes life, warmth and purpose into an otherwise necessarily forlorn, desolated and aimless existence.

A serious man should value what you wistfully called his "own path" a good deal more than that -- value it in his heart of hearts, not in lip service only; and he should dismiss from his mind this supplicating idea of the female as the One who completes and validates his whole journey, and without whom it is merely a trek to nowhere with many a sad stopover on a chilly lonesome late night.

He should dismiss it not only because such an idea is undignified and makes one essentially weak in the face of the female, a beta male -- whether a disabused one or not; but mainly because it is false. A woman's life should indeed be defined by her engagement with the small world, the intimate domestic world of her lovers, her man, her family and children; but a man's life, and its arc, is defined by his engagement with the world at large, the world of objectivity that surrounds us; female companionship is only a more or less pleasant complement along the way. To think and feel otherwise betrays our best and most meaningful energies and makes us more or less willing slaves to the lesser creatures that women are. It is a mistake, and we should recognize it as such.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

Everything you said rings true for men as well. We can't ride the coochie carousel into our 40's and suddenly just stop and settle down. I've watched this play out since I was young, and those players ended up making broken homes. This is why my best advice is to play the field in moderation.

Biologically, a man having his first kid at 40 is pushing it. It's our responsibility to raise our children up to adulthood. When your kid is 18, you're pushing 60. I'll give an example.

My best friends dad in junior high was 60+. Unlike my father who still full of piss n' vinegar, and a bad mother fucker. Rob's dad was too old to do thing you need to teach a young man to be a man. Like primitive camping, hiking, hunting, the trades. My old man was able to do that, and it helped make me who I am today. Rob's dad died when he was in the 8th grade, and was devastating to him. He's done well in life regardless, but has always been a coward due to having a lack of effective male influence.

And what if we had daughters at that age? How can we defend them against men like us when they start to blossom, when we're so old we might fall down and break a hip?

To truly understand the sexes, is to know most rules apply to both.

RE: Why Bother? - even your unicorn doesn't solve the problem
The OP ended with a question about "would you still want to marry a virgin?"

That is every man's choice as an invidual, and we've probably all seen this graph before, but here it is again:

There's a reason societies all over the world value virgin brides.

Be right back, gonna get baptized and marry up a christian virgin girl I know.

I've actually been running into a lot of very young (18-19-20) year old alpha widows lately. They date some guy before they're 18, resist all sexual advances (or maybe the guy just never pushes for it?), then fuck him once then he bails on them. They then take it out on the next guys they meet by being totally nasty or completely non-trusting, tending towards self-destructive behavior. They haven't learned to trap men with their sexuality yet, and they don't understand their hormones and cycles, due to lack of experience, as much as the older women do. They are impulse, tingle-driven creatures that aren't yet complete dreamkillers and try to rationalize their shame or pain by projecting their alpha on the next guy they meet with an uncontrollable ferocity, as it is in the purest form at this stage. They have no control over it, and it is revealed quickly. Older women hide it, they have practiced keeping it under control so they can find good provisioning, then it bubbles up months or years later. The younger alpha widows are clueless, unless they have been screwing since a very young age. Their true status is revealed almost immediately.

The remnants of my savior complex wants me to help them, but they are ultimately damaged goods. Looking back, the vast majority of the girls I have banged have been this way. I have a sixth sense about it now, but I didn't recognize it as such until recently. I'm a bit too fine tuned to reading their indications of interest. Now, when I feel something "different" about a girl, it's almost like I can smell their hymen waiting for me. They act differently, their emotions are changed. They're sweeter in every way. I totally plan on locking one down.

Some time ago I met a hot - high 7 or 8 - 21 year old on Badoo. She had a high IQ, was studying some STEM field and could hold a conversation. The dates went strange to say the least with her resisting escalation every step of the way - all despite strong comfort and all shit-tests mastered. Then on date 3 (she was hot) she admitted to me that she was a virgin. I did not get the bang, but the thing is that I KNEW with almost absolute certainty that as soon as the floodgates open, she is going to run the carousel hard.

Why? She talked about wanting to experience more things, about not wanting to settle down in the next years - every feminist ideology in the book. Also she goes out twice weekly with her girlfriends and they all get drunk - most of them riding the carousel hard.

Even if for some strange reason we get together and she goes into a LTR with someone, then her inner hamster would still want to run wild and have her party years. You might even be able to marry her if you would be good-looking, intelligent and rich enough and insisted on it. She certainly knows a good thing, but her hamster knows the fun years have not begun for her and she will blow up the marriage later.

Virgins & good wholesome Christian women are not what they used to be:

But yeah - it's still likely better with a girl with a low notch-count and no Alpha widow state.

I think you're reading a bit more than I intended into a statement I wrote to serve as a sort of color commentary to a larger point.

But I stand by it. I think it's totally legit to be regretful of passing up a good thing, whether it's a woman, a job opportunity, or a stock trade or whatever. Plus it's not one girl I'm thinking about, but a bunch, so it's not like "one-itis" so much as it is "twenty-one itis" -- and by twenty-one I mean the age. Some of you might be familiar with an old '60s band called the Beau Brummels (they were sort of a proto-R.E.M.) -- one of their songs defines my mindset better than I ever could.

I've written here about how back when I produced and wrote music my dad met the manager of a pre-fame Good Charlotte on a train and tried to hook me up with them, but I didn't pursue it.

Well, I have similar regrets about passing up women. I've also sat around on cold, rainy nights wondering how my life would have been different had I co-written songs on hit albums. Does that mean I'm "pedestalizing pop music?"

Anyway, I reserve the right to be nostalgic. By the time anyone hits their forties, they look back on what they might have missed -- and that goes for those who are married or single. It's part of life and if people say you have no regrets or every decision they ever made was perfect, they're lying.

RE: Why Bother? - even your unicorn doesn't solve the problem
DoBA, the point of my post was not really about regret and its validity or lack thereof.

Here is the real crux: all too many people, and especially all too many intelligent men of this time, fail to realize that a truly good life -- a really excellent enjoyment of the comedy -- requires one to move beyond the merely personal and have a love for what passes by in the stream. Too many merely personal lives, merely psychological lives, degrade to the mere sourness of nostalgia.

So many intelligent men are prone to the waste of inwardness -- looking into themselves, or into the past (which is the avatar of inwardness) and imagining that this is where the real richnesses and depths lie; and this is a grievous error. The true richnesses and the true depths -- the real gift that keeps on giving -- are in the objective world around us, in the everyday scenes that pass by us at all times, and that have nothing to do with our own peculiar plot and our yearnings and illusions.

But a man wants to keep gnawing on the rather dry bone of his nostalgia and his regrets, as if there was still some juice to be sucked out of it. No one wants to hear the Zen injunction to snap out of it and look outward.

Think can be addictive and/or compulsive.

But in getting sucked into that, you miss the now, which IS your life. In fact it is all you really have.

Totally agree. I don’t think most men understand just how deep that rabbit hole goes. We have been conditioned to think that men and women are basically the same, but there is dark side to the female psyche I have seen again and again. I’m not proud of the fact that I have been the “other man” on a number occasions. Once upon a time, with the conceit of youth, I kidded myself with the belief that these poor girls couldn’t hep but succumb to my charms. Now, of course, I know that if it wasn’t me, it would have been someone else. They were intent on cheating, and I just happened to fit the bill in terms of what they were looking for. My “game” really was just to keep the mood sufficiently light, and convey, with a glint in my eye, that it’s all good, no one will know, so no harm done. Many, many people have commented on the attraction that dark triads seem to hold for women, but when you glimpse into their soul, it really can be terrifying.

...

Sure, go overseas, immerse yourself in a new culture and try to marry a nice girl with traditional values. But remember, Mother Nature has given women everywhere the same amount of usable eggs. With that, come some biological imperatives that make women act in some very strange ways that we will never quite understand. To be honest, I don’t think they fully understand it as well, hence their ability to compartmentalize their desires into the old well worn “alpha fucks” “beta bucks” dichotomy.

These two posts really get to the heart of the issue for me. It's not a bitterness towards women, or disappointment that they will never live up to male ideals of loyalty, commitment, and honesty (a truly refined red pill perspective shouldn't expect them to because men and women are fundamentally different). It's really just realizing that when you "go all the way down the rabbit hole", trying to apply these unrealistic standards to women's behavior is a losing battle. There's a reason why there were strong social conventions that allowed monogamy to flourish for several centuries--marriages and other such arrangements will not last in a situation where female behavior is not controlled. When a woman can get on a smartphone and have another guy in a few minutes, then turn on the television and have this kind of behavior reinforced because she's "not happy" or some other flimsy excuse, we're going to see committed, monogamous relationships in the state they are today, because there's so little incentive for women to experience any inconvenience at all, and so much temptation.

I think for men to swallow the red pill all the way, they need to let go of the idea of a committed monogamous relationship (or marriage) in today's world. It's simply not a realistic expectation anymore, and it also doesn't have to be an emotional issue where you're angry at women. It is a zen-like realization of the way things are... and sometimes that's all you need to protect yourself.

I hope the author himself comes back with some more comments. The original article is probably one of the best things he's ever written and it really struck me to the point I'm still thinking about it a week later.

I think this is exactly why Rollo wrote the original post, even though he wrote it in different language. This idea that a woman somehow "makes you whole" "completes you" or any of the other platitudes we hear are actually extremely dangerous to men. If you firmly believe that you are worthless without a certain one woman in your life, it isn't too far of a stretch to take your own life after she's gone. That's exactly why this is such an important issue: men are literally killing themselves because they've been conditioned to believe it. It is our job to destroy this type of conditioning and help save the guy who is recently divorced or the guy who had the mother of his child bounce to get a bigger check from another man.

True, but keep in mind that this is what people were saying in the '20s-'50s when the telephone and TV made it into the average American's home.

Instead of men having to properly "court" women by getting dressed up and coming to meet their folks, women could now accept dates from any guy who called and said "Meet me at the malt shop." Sounds silly now, but this was a big deal in the old days. And TV showed women that no matter how great their life was, there was always something better lurking out there.

The difference was that back then, there was the overwhelming influence of religion and tight-knit families. You had to answer to someone or something. All that receded gradually with feminism and the media replacing religion when it came to how people absorbed their social mores.

What's the solution? The only thing I can think of is that the creeping influence of some of the more fundamentalist religions making their way into the US will rub off on the populace the way Catholicism did when we had a lot of Catholic immigrants circa 1900-1940.

This is why the media and educational system are absolutely lethal to men. Both are marinated in feminism and go out of their way to remove any social constraints on women's behavior. As I've written on here before, a society under the power of (old time) religion was a better deal for men. Religion shamed everyone's behavior. Today, it's only men's behavior that's shamed.

Like we all recently saw on the Dr. Oz show.

RE: Why Bother? - even your unicorn doesn't solve the problem
It isn't JUST a matter of hypergamy. There's always been those kinds of women in society but they were effectively marginalized because getting involved with them was a risk level dramatically above the rewards.

Nowadays we have a society that effectively sells women and a hypergamous lifestyle and seeks to reward and empower that behavior. Marketing treats hypergamy as goood thing in their marketing efforts, and social media allows the average woman to reap the short term rewards via likes and internet attention whoring. Our socialization is off as club culture means that the most powerful individuals in any given nightclub are hot carousel riders, whereas good looking decent girls are viewed as not contributing towards the party atmosphere.

For professional women being a hypergamous carousel rider is no longer a scarlet letter: feminists(with the aid of their oligarch and media backers) have successfully sold the lie that being a self-serving slut who cares about nothing other than her career advancement and sexual thrills is "empowering" whereas traditional girls are mocked for selling out their gender and being "prudes". My own mother faced enormous opposition from her peers in medical school once she took the red pill and decided she wanted to focus on her family.....and this was back in the 80's(it's exponentially worse today).

Meanwhile government has thrown itself 100% on the side of empowering hypergamous women. From welfare incentives, to family courts, to affirmative action initiatives that reward sluts, to the new "yes means yes", the government is actively rewarding carousel riders, divorce addicts, fatty attention seekers, and other trash women while utilizing the tax and school systems to punish women who desire to be a good wife and mother.

And still, nobody asks: "why are they doing this?"
