Update:

6'3 1/8'
176 lbs.

Even if this is generally my average weight, I didn't put in a year and a half in the gym to come within reach of 200 only to lose it all in 10 months (my low-point, in June, was 167 lbs., mad skeletal). Gotta really hit up that gym when I get back home, and take my next teaching gig in a country with a more active gym culture (I'm still a giant compared to the average Chinese guy, and still have bigger muscles than 90% of them).

Height is definitely an advantage, but I think short guys can make up a lot of difference with fresh style and some weight work in the gym. One of the best macks I know back at home, who consistently dates girls we'd call 8's, is 5'9 and average-looking, but he puts in his time at the gym and has a few nice sources of passive income on the side that frees up his time (of course he eventually ends up LTRing all of these girls, but that's just how he's always been, so whatever).

This survey may be a bit self selecting but I'm also surprised at how many guys answered over 6' but considering some of the stories from the guys that answered, I shouldn't be. Lack of height can definitely be overcome, as my friend's ex fiance was 5'5" and used to rack up the notches.

RE: How tall are you?
5'8", balding, and ugly. And shockingly older than my target age.

Height is most easily overcome by moving to where the short people are. Balding, ugly and old requires other compensations. I like this guys concept of attractive traits http://www.uvtblog.com/2009/02/the-woman...e-of-1-10/ and am going to have to develop what he calls "juice"; a type of local scale social fame and pull, or a connected posse to back you up.

Disadvantages can be worked with, but ya, it can be a frustrating communication breakdown when the tall and handsome guys are oblivious that they live in a completely different world than do the short ugly and balding guys. Not everybody diminishes the difference with black and white thinking - equally common is "ya but" thinking, where the mind will acknowledge the disadvantage for only 1/10th of a second before frantically moving on to "but". Let your mind linger longer than 1/10th of a second. You won't crash the system. Your self esteem won't implode. It's not an equal playing field. Not "ya but". Just ya. Ok.

Damn never realized Statham was only 5'9. I always figured him to be at least 6ft.

I'm 6 ft. Being tall is a huge leg up in the NY bar scene. Definitely helps me stand out, and a lot of women have insane rules about height.

Haha never realized there were so many short dudes in Hollywood outside of Tom Cruise, Danny Devito is a straight up midget. It's hard to really tell how tall a guy is in movies I guess, unless you are paying attention to the difference between them and the female lead. I bet for guys like Cruise they give them shoe inserts to make them taller when working with taller women like Nicole Kidman.

I got to say Statham is alpha as fuck for his height, probably one of the most alpha guys in all of Hollywood for that matter IMO.

One thing that's interesting about height, please don't call me a troll, straight from "The Definitive Book of Body Language", the authors claim that height is often one of the definitive factors in whether a relationship will be successful or not. THey had some kind of statistic (not sure where it's from) that relationships where the man was shorter than or less than 1 inch taller than the woman, failed at a very high rate.

If I recall correctly they said that the ideal is for a main to be about 4 inchs. taller than the woman. So if you are a 5 ft. 8 in. male you should seek out 5 ft. 4 in. women, and if you are 6 ft. than a 5 ft. 8 in. woman. Based on my experiences it make sense to me.

Yeah tell me about it, dudes will say height doesn't matter, but we all know it does. Last time a chick brought it up though I immediately thought of this forum, and all the B.S. we deal with in this society. This chubby overweight Jewish chick who has a pretty face, she's a 6, but could be a 7...

She is like 5 ft. 9 (which is relatively tall for a girl), she tells me that she normally would never be attracted to me because I'm only 5 ft. 10 in. and she only likes guys over 6 ft., but she liked my look and style. I'm like WTF? Bitch you aren't even fine enough to be disqualifying guys because they aren't over 6 ft., chicks like this are rampant now a days, they have a laundry list of requirements, but aren't worth shit themselves.

My evo-bio teacher mentioned that there are many traits selected for mainly height. (ie. better to bang if you're tall). I wanted to troll her and ask "so say I'm 5'5 how do I get laid" but no one would have understood.

I heard you have to be at least 6 foot to be an alpha. Anything less is beta status and theres no chance to get high quality girls.

RE: How tall are you?
I'm 5'10, about 165-170lbs (Roughly 12 stone in UK). People my height shouldn't really care, if you've seen some of the girls Statham has got with before he was even famous, you seriously shouldn't care. I know that's easy for me to say in comparison to some of the shorter guys, but I have the same complex with my hair - I started going bald in my early twenties, and people would say "Oh, it doesn't matter, stop whining", but I still (to this day) have a thing about it. We all have our foibles, but as long as we say "Fuck it, my game is the best in the world" that's all we've got to do!

Tried deleting this as it was a dupe of above comment, but for some reason it won't let me. So I'll just edit it and post a weird picture.

I'm 6ft tall, but I wish I was 6'4.

I'm still taller than most, so i'm happy. I want to date a girl that's 5'10 or 5'11 so my kids have a fighting chance.
