The funny part is that I encountered happy marriages who started to fuck other others AFTER THEIR KIDS were born and went through the first stages of childhood. This kind of open marriage is not as crazy as their models. Essentially the couples have one day off where they get to fuck other men and women and then come back to the happy family.

All right you guys, I had the weirdest dream last night. Basically, someone had dragged me into a hipster bar against my will, there was mustache wax everywhere, and I was trying to order a whiskey and soda.

It was like one of those dreams where you have to get away from a monster, but your feet move so slowly it is like they are in motor oil. The difference was, I was only trying to order a drink, and it was equally impossible.

I ask for a whiskey and soda, and first he shows me shelves and shelves of glassware, and takes forever describing the provenance of every kind of glass, shot, stemmed, standard, artisanal. It goes on and on, and he won't let me choose until he has described every glass in detail, as well as the minute differences the shape of the glass will have on carbonation level and taste. I think he even showed me one glass shaped as a boot, that, if you drank from it in a particular way, would create a bubble in the toe of the boot, and make a farting sound as it came up through the drink, in his terms, aerating the experience.

Next, of course, I had to choose between premium and well and premium well whiskeys, and this lead to a boring tour of all the different countries where whiskey was made, as well as the flavor functions of different kinds of peat, as well as the kind of pour I was looking for: House pour/Free hand/Mechanical pour. For a fee, he could give me the regular pour, the same pour he gives to regulars who have been coming there for years. It gave me a warm feeling inside to be given the opportunity to become an instant regular. I knew I was special.

This was followed by the choice of ice, single or multiple cube, or did I want a rocks glass made from ice that "slo-melts' ™ as you drink. I had to choose between clear, translucent and smoky ice, and once that was settled, I had to decide what sort of water I wanted, classified by aquifer, type ie: artesian, as well as depth and likely age of the water, as well as selecting the sort of rock it was filtered through, and what sort of minerals were added to the water.

Onto the soda, which was a repeat of all the ice water choices, as well as what sort of gas I wanted in the soda water. C02, Helium, Nitrous, Nitrogen, and this one involved the pouring into an over sized wine glass, waiting, sniffing, and drinking.

Feeling I was close to getting a drink, I made the mistake of relaxing, which the bartender picked up on and wagged his finger at me. With a turn of his body, and a gesture like a magician displaying box, he opened a cabinet that had rows upon rows of all different sorts of straws.

"Reeds?" he said.

I gave up and left and woke up just then. I woke without being any woker.

Obviously I am embellishing this to make it entertaining, and a lot of the details disappeared once I woke up. I swear to God though, this annoying hipster in my dream did refer to straws as "reeds."

I am counting my blessings. It could have been a dream about gender.

Actually the idea would not be half so bad of course only when it came to the selection of whiskey/scotch and ice. Only the best places take care of what kind of ice is used.

Im about to finish my stay in Barcelona, which is the third time within a few years i have traveled for several months. Then i will finish my education, and the next few years i plan to save some money.

I found a lot of help and inspiration on RVF, and I would like to thank everybody. This forum is a collection of intelligent and clever men, that helped me develop into what I am today. But im still in a process.

Right now im about to plan the next few years. I got most things covered in my head, but i'll need to decide where the next big trip is going, in maybe 2-4 years from now.

I've closed in on the Philippines and Columbia. The forum offers great data sheets on both, but I would like to ask you, what you would do if your were me. I will add some info.

debeguiled, there was an Irish writer named Flann O'Brien who could have written the passage in your dream more or less exactly as you described it. That was pretty much his entire shtick.

He should not be overrated -- literary Irish drunks are bad news in more ways than one -- but one of his books, The Third Policeman, is worth reading. Check it out sometime and you'll see what I mean.

I found this five minute Youtube video about a ghost town in British Columbia, Canada and thought it was very fascinating. Kitsault is in the middle of nowhere, a part of the world that is absolutely beautiful. Basically, its three hours west of butt-fuck-nowhere and was built in the late 1970s as a company town for the local molybdenum mine but prices collapsed shortly after and the mine closed, then all of the residents were forced to leave. The entire town which was designed and built to house the 1200 mine workers was abandoned for close to thirty years until an Indo-Canadian businessman bought it a few years ago.




I have family near Terrace, BC but have never been up that way although I've been to Port Hardy, BC which is similar country. These types of remote towns in BC are ideal places to live Leornard's rural lifestyle, plenty of fresh seafood, wild game (deer, moose, etc) and very long growing seasons, for Canada anyway.

^According to Wikipedia the population of Kitsault is one, so ya, you'd probably need to import. The nearest town is three hours away, set your POF or Tinder plus to Terrace and Prince Rupert to check out the local talent, my guess is that its highly indigenous.

Pamela Anderson pens love letter to Julian Assange
