Its cuban salsa style and the teacher said it was LA style ( what ever that is).
Its great to learn to 3 kinds of dances instead of one. The school has a free dancing nights on Thursdays and Sundays and there are affiliated schools in 3 different cities very close to mine (max half hour drive) so there are lots of options to dance with lots of girls. Not sure if i'm going after my dance partner. Its high risk, if i hit on her and strike out it would be akward to dance with her for the rest of the season. Why go for that one if there are lots of options.

An Aussie friend here in London arrived knowing nobody and he has subsequently had 3 girlfriends in about 4 years....all through his Salsa classes .

If you arrive in a town cold,it's the kind of activity that will get you meeting single girls as a matter of course,and a bit of a social circle.

I am seriously beginning to realize that Friday/Saturday nights are NOT the time to go hunting for women to have sex in America.
