Alright guys, I've been lurking around this forum for a while due to all the helpful information but this is my first time posting, anyway to the question:

As opposed to using online dating sites to meet foreign women how about pen-pal sites? I mean they are actively looking to meet foreigners there, just wondering is anyone has tried/had any success on them before?

I might be able to chime in, as my brother has met his past 2 girlfriends there.

There might be less competition, it mightn't be a huge penis fest, but if girls are actively looking to meet foreigners there, they're using that for a reason. Their looks aren't enough to write home about (pun intended). Not as much mileage as if they were using an actual dating site/app, let alone real life. Therefore, they need another avenue of themselves to pitch.

Think about it. Sex apps like Tinder was pioneered by hot women because, duh, aesthetics were what they revolved around. On the other hand, pen-pal sites take the physical aspect out of the equation, people who are using it with dating in mind are showcasing something else than their looks that can do the talking better.

The exception might be if chicks are using those platforms to practise their English. And even then, believe me, if they were good looking enough, they'd be using another medium whereby they could leverage that.

My brother's girlfriends are a testimony to this. The previous one was an overweight 5 (being generous), and the current one, a 4.

The former didn't even have a nice personality to save herself.

The site that my brother used, my sister called it "The PG Tinder" as a joke. I remember at the back of my mind I thought cruelly, "You mean, the ugly Tinder" but stopped short of saying it aloud.
