So I've been chatting with this girl onlien from the Dominican where I'm headed next week and she's offering to meet me at the airport when I arrive. Anybody else have this happen? How do I know this isn't some sort of scam and that I won't be ambushed and robbed? Would be nice to hit the ground running with a chica ready to show me around. Thoughts?

Tell her to meet somewhere else, and give any excuse about it. If she's interested in you, you'll still bang her; but if she's setting you up, you can get robbed. In this kind of countries you can expect anything so be careful.

Don't meet a girl you don't know as soon as you step off the plane in a country that's not your own. Get situated first.

You're vulnerable when you're lugging all your belongings around.

right on, those were pretty much my thoughts, just wanted some feedback. I think I want to take a few days to get situated first anyway before i start lining up meet ups.

Well, if it helps a few tried that with me too. One of them I still chat with she was wanting to be hospitable but for sure get to where your going and get situated then meet girls at a nearby place if their willing to get there.

Which airport? I know for a fact that SDQ has the taxi deal locked down so it costs around $40 to get to a hotel in the city and a regular cabbie can't get in there unless you know/call them. Since the locals know this it bothers them to see people spend 40-60 dollars for the ride.

I'm actually flying into Santiago. She's probably just trying to be hospitable but I don't think I'm going to take any chances. It was quite a bit cheaper to fly into Santiago from chicago, so I'm going to start there, spend a week or two and then make my way over to Santo Domingo.

I had a chick meet me at the airport in Merida, Mexico. I was staying with her, so it made sense. Otherwise though, I've made my way to my hotel on my own, and met up with them later. I wasn't concerned about being jacked though...it was more because I was flying in at a time when they were at work, or I had my own agenda planned out and didn't intend to try to see the chick until later anyway. I think you need to read each situation and do what you're comfortable doing. If it REALLY concerns you, it's best you make your way in on your own and have her meet you at your hotel or somewhere else.

I literally just did this two days ago in Bogota, Colombia and it has worked out very well. I was a little concerned at first (I was going to refuse the taxi she suggested and find a different one) but the taxi service i so structured that it didn't matter.

Its always smart to be cautious. I had a chick from DR trying to do the same shit with me and i told her no no..meet me at my hotel when i arrive. Its always smart to act safe even if she seems trustable.

To answer this question, you have to think like a criminal. If you were going to rob someone, would you do it right off the bat at the airport? The problem is that they don't know if you have anything worth stealing at that point, so why go through all the trouble of driving out to the airport?

If I were a chick trying to rob someone, I would slip some shit into the targets drink and then clean them out..that way you wouldn't have to go through all the inconvenience of armed robbery.

I'd say you probably have nothing to worry about. I've been picked up at the airport by chicks I've met online before, and it worked out great... Your biggest worry should be her locking you down the entire time..lol

Or she's trying to get you before you see all the other sexy girls around. I would just tell her it's fine. You have some things to do right when you land, and you'll meet her the next day. It'll build some sexual tension if she's interested and it'll let you know if she's serious about fucking or if it's a scam.

Yea..I think its safe for her to meet you at the airport.
Ive pipelined girls that wanted to pick me up..I told her no and I would call her when I got situated.
Met up with her later in the night and went left her 4 friends at a club early to go bang it out at her dorm room.

From my experience..if she wants to meet you this early..she's probably really interested and if you push for it, youll probably smash it soon

Seems to be little to no benefit of meeting at the airport vs anywhere else. Only downside potential.

You're not going to lose the bang if you meet her 2 hours later at a cafe.

Rehash of two year old post.
IS anyone still having chicks offer to meet them at airports.

In retrospect. Im wondering..If a girl is offering to meet you or pick you up....maybe she thinks their are other girls

Foreign chicks especially that invest a lot of interest in me seem to want to know if im talking to half a dozen other girls.
They start delving deeper into my schedule( honestly..my made up story slightly falls apart, the longer i talk with her)
Ive got 4 chicks between 2 cities that have mentioned that they could meet me at the airport.

This seems like the equivlant of seeing a chick out a bar and swooping her up before the hoards of guys sitting around sipping on liquid courage, getting ready to talk to her.
You wanna make sure you swoop her before someone else does.

Had this happen in Thailand. I suggested a cab - she insisted in the train. She came to the hotel without hesitation. Great experience!!
