I hear that as you get older you need money to keep your high value. So how do you use your money effectively( without paying for a escort) to show that you're high value.

You've got to control it on the front end--reduce eating while keeping protein intake adequate.

Even though when you're young you'll think "Oh, I'm tough I can just work out like crazy, I don't care how much it hurts," it's not that simple, you'll be so exhausted if you do 3-4 hour workouts that you'll get in car accidents, forget stuff and waste money, because your mental functioning will decline if you exhaust yourself. That said, you HAVE to remain active or you'll start to look like the middle aged guy you don't want to be-- like her exhuasted father-- imagine if you had a hot teenage daughter how that would wear you out!?

Then when you hit mid-fifties and have an independent income, by FAR the most efficient fastest way to increase your value is simply move to a relatively poor country.

--make sure you have an income over about US1500 per month, preferably more but don't wait til you're 65 to do it-- that income in 2012 terms

---move somewhere where the great majority doesn't makes that much. You'll deal with the same admiration and jealousy that someone
with an independent income of 6-8k per month deals with in the USA. You still have to be DOING something though, young women like excitement and don't want to think of themselves as simply whores unless they're real dumb or trash. I make artsy movies. It's quite time consuming and gives you a lot of excuses to meet people, not just chicks. Movie people are generally very intelligent and interesting.

I think this is overlooked, you need to be somewhere where you are capable of LIKING the people. I hate flakes, so I haven't invested in Columbia although the chicks would probably get me really hot. Slavs are more serious and straightforward, and I prefer that. If someone acts like they like you they often actually do and won't change their minds in a day. If you like dancing, laughing in groups, "partying" ( watch out for alcohol) you probably would like South America more. If you are one hopeless mofo, totally disorganized, only able to get together 800 a month in income, I hear really wrecked guys STILL get chicks 1/3 their age in SE Asia.

I'm scuffling around on $1300 / month in an unnamed Eastern Euro place and a very cute clerk in a Home Depot type place here yesterday:

All very good advice....But, you can cut the flakiness of Colombianas down to almost nil if you have your own place (stay for more than a couple weeks at a time) and just act like you are interested in something more than just sex.

I have, better yet, I fully own a pimped out 2-story loft in Medellin in the most exclusive/elite neighborhood, El Tesoro. I speak Fluent Spanish, take pride in my appearance, stay for 3 month + trips, and have a local social circle.

You can never reduce flakiness down to zero in Colombia even with all your added value above. It's in their nature to always be late, flake, and then apologize for doing so and EXPECT YOU to be cool with it.

Whose to blame for all of this flakiness and bullshit? The local Beta Colombian men who put up with it simply because they have other girls they routinely fuck, and can afford to do so - they live there year-round, they don't have time constraints like traveling "sex tourists".

Flakiness will likely reduce by 50%, but you should still expect it, deal with it, or move on.

Fitness can't be emphasized enough for older guys-ordinary "walk three times" a week isn't nearly enough-aim for a high level of fitness
Your ideal should be looking something like the guys on the covers of Men's Fitness or Men's Health magazines-lean with noticeable muscle, not ridiculous like a roided out bodybuilder.
Study how to work out properly and get your nutrition dialed in(critical)
I have achieved this to some degree and it has made a huge difference- I get loads of IOI's in public from chicks down to their early 20's (I am late 40's) much more so than when i was in my 30's or 20's.

I am starting to believe i need less and less money or maybe if you were balling in eastern europe as an older man, your numbers in terms of bangs would be higher (Imagine driving an expensive car there, having a luxury flat/home, etc). I am shocked that you are living with such a low budget in eastern europe at your age.

I was earning the equivalent of 3 college degrees, writing songs and screenplays. I wouldn't advocate this type of life unless you are equally eccentric and have some talent and drive.

The whole siren-song trap of the consumerist West is "...work a little more, you're almost good enough, if you just have a little more money you can be OK..." and being over 50 I've felt my health decline enough to realize that's the model of Capitalism-- use you up while you struggle to "make good", then spit you out when you're too worn out to enjoy life.

I worked until I had an independent income so I could live where hot chicks are. Then I said FUCK YOU POD. FUCK YOU 3X, CUBICLE-POD-DEATHCELL-TOMB. I do NOTHING for POD anymore.

I also spent my 20's playing the guitar FTW and having fun then too. So, by the time I go wide on a cliffside road's bend on the Amalfi coast at 77 years old, the POD will only have had me for about 20 years out of my whole life. And as the sea rushes towards me, I'll make sure to say one last FU again to the POD.

The whole idea is to cheat the POD as much as you can, because you can't cheat The Giant Hand, it gets everyone.

Thank you for the question about POD. The answer is... ummm.. well, the answer is....it's complicated hahaha. I came up with the idea where I worked in a State bureaucracy that is paying my pension now.

There was a...ummm. buxom young minority woman who also felt out of place and we became partners in making fun of the sterile, boring quality of the place.

One day, as a joke, I told her I was going to put up laser-printed 8x11 sheets of paper all around the inside of my cubicle with the huge, single word "POD" printed on each.

She started laughing ( This with the POD SUPERVISOR only meters away) and advised/admonished me "Don't do that... don't do that.." although she too was against POD and had actually won a victory over them in some labor dispute.

So to be as honest as a person who doesn't know what he is talking about can be, it's sort of an abstract term for a deadening physical/psychological place where you don't want to be.

I told another minority co-worker I worked with in a different POD, who always said half-humorously that he was a "slave of the State":

All the rest is just logistics.

Part of my punishment ( I use work and punishment as interchangeable terms. Work is punishment for not being smart enough to figure out a fun way to make a living. ) was working in a prison in health care. Many of my patients were prisoners with life.
The ones who "had a date" were deeply different psychologically. Even if it was fifteen years away, they didn't tend to suffer the same kind of despair. Once they were about four years from release, they became almost giddy. There were very, very expert at waiting. I learned from them.

When I had about two years to go, I downloaded a free grid-calendar thing from the 'net, so the two years covered two pages with a little box for each day. I kept it in the grey steel drawer of my desk.

When I would think about it, I would pull it out and cross off the five or ten days that I had worked since the last examination of the sheet. I had a RED PEN that I would cross out the days with, and used it for nothing else. The pen was FUCK-THE-POD red.

I could see the grid fill up, after about four months it was 1/6 filled! I could see how getting out FOR GOOD was something I could make a reality just by showing up. There is a category of stocks called "Dividend Aristocrats" that have INCREASED per share dividends EVERY year for twenty five years in a row without interruption. I give that kind of track record more credit than some doom-sayer who writes a column. That doom sayer still HAS A JOB, so how smart can he be? While millions of people are living comfortably and quietly off ATT (5.9%/yr), MCD (2.9%/yr), and other companies' dividends. Both those companies continued to INCREASE their dividends yearly through the crisis of 2007-2009.

Research the cash flow etc of the company, but that is one way to try to get the security of a pension.

And give a final, heartfelt FU to the POD.

I'm definitely in accordance with you iknowexactly, the only point we differ is that I'd like to have more income. What you have is fine in some places but in a lot of places it really won't cut it.
I feel like I can easily live a simple life but I don't want to be counting the pennies every month.

Yeah it sucks to not have Paris or Oslo, for instance, as an option. But it would have taken another 2-3 years of saving up--the healthiest 2-3 years I probably have left.

Back to earlier life priorities--while Johnny MBA was topping up his stock portfolio, (what was in his brain? widgetsdollarswidgetsdollars...) I was earning the equivalent of 3 college degrees, writing songs and screenplays. I wouldn't advocate this type of life unless you are equally eccentric and have some talent and drive.
