RE: Beijing Datasheet
A bit of updated info, perhaps helpful for those of you visiting Beijing.

Getting into the city, you can either take a cab, often with horrendous traffic, and spend 100 RMB or more depending on where in the city you're headed. An alternative is the sky train (which goes directly to terminals 2 and 3, and for terminal 1 requires about a six or seven minute indoor walk to terminal 2). Its 25 RMB, and take you to the local Beijing Subway (the first stop is at the north east edge of Chaoyang district, on third ring road, and there is one more stop further south). Its 21 minutes into town, as opposed to up to an hour.

I stayed this past weekend at a good value, modern and clean hotel near Sanlitun (and one subway stop away from the sky train to the airport, incidentally) called Tangram (No.20 building, Xinyuan Li Xi). It was around 350 for the night, or a little less than 60. The room was big, modern, art deco design, fully appointed, like a no name W hotel (in fact, very much like that). Its very convenient to San li tun bar street and to Gong Ti Workers Stadium, where Mix is located (as well as many other clubs). I'd recommend the place, though not especially the restaurant inside (not a great value, and mediocre dinner/breakfast buffet by Chinese standards).

Also, this was a post on my Shenzhen data sheet, can be equally, or more helpful, for Beijing and other densely populated cities.

Strip away judeo-christian ethics ingraining sex is dirty/bad & the idea we're taking advantage of these girls disintegrates. Once you've lost that ethical quandary (which it isn't outside religion) then they've no reason to play the victim, you've no reason to feel the rogue. The interaction is to their benefit.
