I see a theme emerging that somehow absolves DirkDiggler from responsibility because he isn't the initiator. I disagree with that on principle. If he goes in with all the facts, he becomes equally responsible for any and all fall-out. I think his trepidation is wise here. Remember, women generally don't give a fuck about how their actions will effect others. They care mostly about their own wants and needs. We as men have to be different - we have to weigh those things and decide accordingly. Even with chicks that come with less drama than the one in this situation, we generally have to ask ourselves, "Is this chick worth the hassle?"

There was also the suggestion that they do what they're going to do in secret, and if it comes up, deny it? Really? First, sneaking around is weak. And it's even worse when it comes out (because it WILL come out - chicks can't keep their mouths shut), because people hate the idea that a secret was being kept from them. Especially something like this. If you're going to do something like this, it has to be ALL IN, and above board. The circle may be uncomfortable, but people will generally adjust. If you try to sneak around, it almost makes it something dirty, when it really isn't. Always remember that for the most part, when there's a breakup, someone gets cast from the circle. Someone gets custody of the friends - people take sides. Sex almost always changes the dynamic of any relationship, especially if you're banging some dude's sister. The circle may get mad at her, but they won't cast her out. Men have to think about this with their brains, and not their dicks.

For as long as I can remember, I have always had between 1-3 close trustworthy guy friends. Even when I moved into Boston with zero friends, I made a close friend in less than a month after moving in. I'd make friends with guys at bars, guys at dance clubs, guys who decide to move into my apartment from craigslist, etc. I find I'm pretty picky with guy friends because there's really no problem for me getting more. And yes, these are guys I can TRUST, who would help me out late at night if my car broke down.

Now, I would NEVER put a woman in front of my friend, because I don't put men in front of women. I never have, and never will. I've helped my beta male friends get back with their old flames (even though I knew it'd be bad for them), I've entertained wives and girlfriends of these guys, I've helped other Alpha's get laid. I put my friends in front of my own interests and there's never been much of an issue.

Over the course of my life, I can recall 10 close friends (like hanging out at their house regularly close) that I would spend years with before we grew apart. I hear guys complaining about not having friends, but it's never been a problem for me. I'm not sure how I make close friends. It's like I have a natural "guy-game" or something.

But I can tell you, standing up to your friends for not doing anything wrong (like banging his sister who comes onto you) is how you build a stronger relationship. I've gotten into fights with the closest of my guy friends and remained friends with them for years afterwards. I consider conflict between close buddies to be normal and it shows, more than anything, that the two guys care for each other.

The way I make close friends is by being REAL, showing them who I am, flaws and all, and they can either accept me or reject me. There's no nitpicking or me being afraid of offending my friends. I don't act FAKE, I don't try to be extra polite or game anyone. I open right up and just say who I am. And if you lose the friend, so be it, the friendship wasn't meant to be.

The way I behave drives away women in droves, so it's the opposite of what you should do with women, but it works very well with men. For women, you must be fake and game the fuck out of them, which is why it took me so long to have success with girls.

Been mulling over this topic for a bit now.

I've got a friends sister that I see every once in a blue moon via group events but with each encounter is escalating her interest. The last two visits, she has come off VERY strong: very positive comments on my looks, lots of touching, inviting me to tag along for overseas trips, sitting very close to me while alone (the way chicks sit right before they make-out/jump on you).
