i tend to get needy with a girl i like...how to over come neediness???while i have more girls around but i dont feel like this kind of urge with them....i only get needy with specific girls.

Control yourself. Realize that the girl you get needy with is not the only one in the world, there are many others. Resist the urge to call her five seconds after she called you, resist the urge to call her at all. Be confident in yourself and show her your value.

can't improve upon the other 2 responses, but my vantage point is....back in college (i'm 30 now) i came to the realization that a) i thought girls liked emotional guys but b) i was just being needy and c) being needy is like telling a girl you're gay.

Neediness is a weakness, something that must be overcome. How do you overcome neediness? You become more confident in yourself as an individual, and start moving towards living the life you want to live.
