RE: Philippines is the worst country i've ever visited...
It looks like you're not able to handle the third world yet. Your post is so pathetic. If you can't handle beggars and people staring at you in a super safe country like the Philippines, I suggest you never come to Medellin where I live. People here will shoot you just for crossing an "invisible border" and you might even get raped on the street by some Colombian gay gang. Beggars and staring would be the least of your worries if you ever set foot in a dangerous country like Colombia.

Want to eat "Ok" food you will be paying US prices because anything under $350 pesos here is complete shit. I got one notch my first day here and i would later put her picture up, I just don't even want to pull out my nice Camera in the mist of all this people (I am in a public area) but the amount of pussy in this place is not worth stepping in here.
I'm still dealing with paranoia from my condom breaking in HK and now i stepped in here and I feel like vomitting the moment i step out of my hotel because is downright disgusting, Jeepney Horn sounds everywhere, people eating out of fucking garbage cans, everywhere is fucking crowded and not just "crowded" i mean crowded as in.. this country needs to exterminate 65% of their population to just be able to be livable, the amount of people here is insane.. just put it like this.. It feels like NYC x 2 and throw in Hong Kong and throw in the population density of Philadelphia mixed together in one city but picture people eating out of garbage cans and standing on the the street with no shirt on and forget about coming out to the streets dressed good....it will be hell you will have someone asking you for money every minute.
Unless you are coming here to feed the poor, stay away....Thailand is like Manhattan and this is Detroit.
Oh yeah... I'm eating breakfast now..there's nothin on this fucking menu that does not include white stale rice and some nasty sausages, who the fuck eats white unflavored rice at 8:00am.. Thailand i miss you.

I think Filmor needs a bit of valium when he travels to third world countries. It would help him out.

Alot of people don't understand the concept of 1st, 2nd and 3rd world.
communist and ex-soviet countries are considered 2nd world while all other countries except the European Union, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Japan are considerere 1st world.
That's it.

In spite of friendly people, Manila is not too pleasing, but you should get out of the city and head to the islands. Seriously, I don't know if my info is out of date, but back in the day, you could get to the Center Point Hotel, get a bus to Batangas Port, board a boat to Mindoro Island, dock at Puerto Galera, and get a jeepney to Sabang.
Sabang isn't the most beautiful beach, but it's a fun place.

RE: Philippines is the worst country i've ever visited...
Lots of forum members name Manila a shithole, but I even consider a lesser area such as Ermita or Malate as the first world in comparison to some African cities.
Let’s compare Manila with Kampala, capital of Uganda:
- There are almost no taxis in whole Kampala;
- No Light Rail, MRT and no trolleybuses, just minivans and tricycle taxis;
- Traffic even worse than in Manila as there are no expressways and roads have small capacity;
- Only three or four shopping malls in the whole metropolis, which aren’t designed as a city-inside-the-city like in Manila, but consist of a shitty supermarket, a snack bar and a souvenir shop;
- A hotel with air condition starting at 100$ a night;
- Most cars from the 1990’s and lots of motorbikes on the streets – air pollution much much worse than anywhere in SEA;
- Most products more expensive than in SEA as everything must be imported from Asia or Europe;
- Lots of products or services not available;
- Vaccinations against numerous diseases such as Yellow Fewer as well as Malaria repellents are highly recommended;
- Expensive flight tickets (no cheap getaway to a nearby country), and only stopover flights to a seaside destination in Kenya or Tanzania;
- Idiotic situations happening every day, such as bent cops try to get bribes from you, no water and/or electricity for hours, days, even weeks.
This list is absolutely not exhaustive. Anyone complaining about Manila would experience a Grade A culture shock in most African countries. No wonder there are almost no African data sheets and trip reports on the forum.
