I remember when I started watching 10 years ago it started with pictures, webcam babes, etc. Now it's just straight hardcore shit where you see 10 girls getting fucked by 5 guys. It takes 20x longer for me to bust a nut on my own than with porn. Like I said before, porn can also cause erectile dysfunction. I've read that guys couldn't even get hard from seeing a naked girl in front of them, but only from hardcore shit... When they quit porn, they started seeing results after months. So I am trying to avoid bigger problems right now. But you are right, I believe a regular sex partner is key in recovery.[b]
No necessarily.
Only you can stop this shit. Work out everyday, dont rely on girls or anybody to help you quit, if you really want to do this, go to the gym two times per day, cancel your internet for 6 months (go to your local library whenever you need to use the internet), approach lots of chicks at all times, avoid staying at home at all costs, if you still living with your family, try share a room with one of your family problems and AVOID watching porn at all costs, completely avoid it.
Just wondering, do you feel mentally and physically weak most of the times? Do you think you are ready to fight someone in the streets most of times?

I mean the logic used to label porn/masturbating as an addiction can be used for labeling wanting sex as an addiction as well. If you notice the people who are going to therapy for sexual addiction are celebrities who have a larger access to poon. I've always told my friends that they will know that I hit the big time if they see me going to rehab for sexual addiction.
Completely agree.
Hell I'll jerk off before my girl comes over, fuck her that night, fuck her the next morning, and then crank one out to some porn after! Granted I'm young, dumb, and full of cum but the point is sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
You all seem to be causing yourself more mental unrest worrying about how porn effects you than the porn itself causes.
Like Moma said, unless you're changing your schedule and life to go watch porn and jerk it you dont have a problem, you're just really horny.
This right here is the disconnect between people on this tread. "If a girl comes over..." you already have her. I have absolutely no problem getting hard and fucking my fuck buddy either. Its a matter of going out and pursuing new puss.
Also, "you're just really horny" I think is actually the opposite of what people who jerk off too much have a problem with. Its the opposite. You're right though, maybe it's an age thing. I'm in my late 20s and things are different.
Lots of us jerk off as a habit, to get off, to go to sleep etc. and with the habitual motions the horniness removes itself from the equation. The problem with some people who jerk off multiple times a day is a complete and utter lack of horniess in real world pursuits.
Again, if I felt like hammering every girl I saw at a bar I wouldn't stop jerking it. Its a personal thing. I just think its shortsighted to completely discount how much it can help certain people.

Use a SUBSTITUTE. What I do is when i want to masturbate I go workout or eat to numb the craving.
Meditation works also.
Just remember there is an energy buildup in your body that WANTS to be released. You have to release that energy sexually or otherwise, so channel your sexual energy into a motivating active force.

I think as guys, we all have, at one point or another, watched porn. Me personally, I wouldn't say I'm addicted per se. As in those people that watch it for hours everyday. My problem is in the form of those cam show websites where they charge per minute. I've had stretches of months where I didn't do it at all, but when I have been, it's not been pretty financially. I can definitely relate to you, Donald Duck, in terms of trying to stop cold turkey. But the void needs to be filled with something else in its place or a relapse is almost inevitable.
The substitute is in fact having a regular sex life. Well, at least for me. I don't have a steady girlfriend and haven't hooked up much recently, so of course, those websites are more than happy to take their place. And you have to wonder if subconsciously, one's motivation to have a regular sex life is lessened, even by the slightest margin, because of that.
