Start pipelining weeks in advance and double/triple book yourself for dates.

Short answer is look on airbnb.com for a nice place in Naco or Piantini. Make sure you are allowed guests. Almost every Dominican girl will take a taxi to those areas if you pay for it. PM me for more details.

If you find yourself in Sosua and you speak some Spanish, head to the beach during the day and try to hit on chicas there - many will be from Santiago/Puerto Plata. Bring a large bottle of rum and some ice and make a party, then get some numbers/continue in the night. If all else fails, head to Cabarete - a surfer tourist town 15 minutes away from Sosua and hit on hot European tourists (only Friday/Saturday night as other days will be dead-dead in August).

Santiago - forget it unless you speak decent Spanish and understand the Latin mentality, and you are willing to work for it/pipeline in advance. Most guys just burn here. I would go to Santo Domingo instead, you have bigger numbers/variety on your side, more English-Speaking girls too. Punta Cana is OK, I would definitely go there over Sosua, - a good mix of locals/tourists. If you are stuck in AI, then it's hard to bring outside girls in. Puerto Plata - jeez, there is nothing there, it's like a large prison and they forgot to tell the inmates that they are free to go.

So you got Sunday to Tuesday to kill before going to Sosua. If you arrive early in the day, you can spend the rest of it in Santiago - Sunday is good for daygaming, just head to the monument area or deeper into the inner city if early in the day. Bang the Santiago girl you have in the pipeline and head to SD on Monday (bus takes 1.5 hours). Monday and Tuesday will be pretty dead in Santiago anyway, more options in the capital. Bang the girl in SD and head to Sosua on Tuesday (bus, 3 hours).

What about options in Santo Domingo Sunday-Tuesday? If I was traveling solo, I wouldnt mind spending one day in Santiago, then Monday in SD but he's not going to want to keep jumping from hotel to hotel before going to sosua.

I was thinking of heading to Boca Chica Sunday during the day, meeting up with the girl in Santiago later on in the evening then just day game/night gaming in SD monday and tuesday nights. Santiago, as youve stated, is dead Monday but SD might have some nightlife?

Can't believe this trip is coming up so fast.

If he has been webamming and has decent game, I think it's possible she's really into him, or into the whole package. A charming white dude who also happens to be from USA. Just like in any other country there are girls who will use a guy for a visa, but many more that wouldn't. For them a VISA is a bonus, just like a girl in the states would feel about a guy with a good job. Lifestyle is part of what makes a man attractive. If he has been gaming her good, it could be that this girl has real feelings.

That being said, there are plenty of Dominican women that use men to get to usa (I have seen two first hand) and for money. Just don't think that an entire country will think the same way.

One of my friends (ironically enough is that one I had trouble convincing about the 150% p4p in Sosua) wants to go down two days early and wouldn't mind staying outside of Sosua for those two days before we had to sosua for 5. So basically we are arriving in Santiago on Aug 17th, and then heading to Sosua Aug 19th when are other two friends arrive. We have not booked any hotel in Santiago yet, which I'm glad after reading your latest posts. So you suggest staying in Santo Domingo for locals over Santiago? I noticed you mentioned that Santiago is more for if you are experienced and have been to DR before vs Santo Domingo which is good for beginners, like myself. I'll do some searches to see where we could stay in Santo Domingo for 2 nights. I've been pipelining but had to drop 2 of the girls as I felt like I was lowering my standards too much. I've got two other chicas, one from Santiago and Santo Domingo that I would consider 8 and 9's (I love girls with small hips, huge ass) and one is practically in love with me and has already said "when you want to visit me in Santiago, I am at your full service." She's become so attached over the past 2 weeks that I noticed she views my profile on tagged several times a day. The other one from Santo Domingo, though hotter, doesn't talk to me AS frequently.

I'm a big day gamer so I'm hoping I can day game quite a bit in Santo Domingo/Santiago. Its good to know that there are actually regular women at the beach in Sosua. Seems like nightlife is where there's no luck.

If he has been webamming and has decent game, I think it's possible she's really into him, or into the whole package. A charming white dude who also happens to be from USA. Just like in any other country there are girls who will use a guy for a visa, but many more that wouldn't. For them a VISA is a bonus, just like a girl in the states would feel about a guy with a good job. Lifestyle is part of what makes a man attractive. If he has been gaming her good, it could be that this girl has real feelings.

That being said, there are plenty of Dominican women that use men to get to usa (I have seen two first hand) and for money. Just don't think that an entire country will think the same way.

Plus the major factor in all this is that she doesn't know that I actually live in the US. She thinks I live in DR and thinks I'm already down there. I am very well aware of people trying to get their VISA but this situation is different since I already "live" there. But I've been down this road before when we went to Brazil so I'll give details upon my return.

Check airbnb for some options. If it's under a month, it's pretty hard to find anything.

^ The chick I met out there says there's a spot in venezuel she goes to that always has free dembow shows on Sundays. She's shown me videos, it looks a little barrio, but I like the artists that go there. I'll ask her the name if you're interested. I am headed back to DR. I can't find any good deals on places out there. Everything on airbnb is a rip off. The one place I did like the owner just got back to me and said that the place would be occupied at that time. I checked Corotos and there are only a few listings with pictures. Does anyone know any other sites that might have some good listings? I'm trying to rent for a month.

I haven't been to the DR yet but this applies to anywhere:
Book something for the first 2-4 nights online, and then once there focus on finding a place by going in person to all the buildings in the areas of interest. You'd find find much better places and at much better rates than anything online.

Yeah, there are tons of hotel rooms in the area of the colonial zone for $25-$40 per night. I even heard from one guy how he was paying like $7 a night because the receptionist wasn't doing her job right. Nice places in a good location in Santo Domingo are expensive though (as in pretty much US rates). It's not easy to find an awesome deal. The best deals I ever saw were a large furnished 3 bedroom in Gazcue for $750 a month (with deposits, etc) and a $100 shithole of a room in a sweet location in the colonial zone.

I went with my hot girlfriend to look at a $100 a month room she wanted. It was a dump of a room but in a safe central location. Even for her as a Dominican this little dumpy room with no house privileges (private entrance) was $100. And she was excited!!! This girl was a solid eight and she was excited about a little dumpy room for $100.

Best deal I've seen on airbnb seem to be on the east side of town. Would be an alright location just don't walk around by yourself at night on the east side.

I wouldn't count on finding a nice place for $20 or less per night unless you are paying by the month. Even with driving around with a local. If it's a trip less than a month I would recommend either airbnb or negociating something by the week with a hotel in colonial zone or maybe another neighborhood.

Yeah I'm trying to do a monthly rental. I'm definitely not trying to be in the middle of nowhere. I saw some good deals on the east side but that's not really where I'm trying to be. I had one guys who had a baller pad with a pool and gym. I had him talked down to $1000 for the month and he said he'd get back to me and let me know if the current tenants would be out by my dates, unfortunately, they will not be. I like the idea though of booking a few nights and then figuring it out once I get there. I may just do that. Only problem is November is a little busy it seems, I don't want to get screwed out of getting a monthly rate because places are booked for dates during my stay.

I've been negotiating with people on airbnb but the prices still don't seem fair. "Talking them down" still usually means $1000-1500 for a 1 br. A lot of people are picky too. I asked one guy about a review that said the a/c didn't work well and also asked if the place had a pool. He replied something to the extent of, "it looks like you have too many doubts and expectations, it doesn't look like we'd be a good match." I responded, "yeah, if asking for a/c to be able to sleep is asking too much, then I don't think you'd be a suitable host."

Looking to go to DR in the near future, great info all over this thread and elsewhere on RVF. One thing that sounds intriguing but undiscovered are the small town campos mentioned in this thread
