There this dude called The Weeknd from Canada that is cold as hell. He's on some alternative R&B/rock/whatever else type shit....be he jams tho. I usually listen to rap music 80% of the time, but he goes hard.

One of my local stations plays the Horrors. I like them. I love anything with the shoegaze sound as I was heavily into that stuff in the 90s.

Here's another group I've been digging, Tame Impala from Australia. Not SG so much, more neo-psychadelic.

I don't listen to bands per se. Basement Jaxx, if they are considered a band, has a decent song called "If I Ever Recover." Curren$y & the Jets are a rap group who are not mainstream at all and I like it that way. Wiz Khalifa enjoyed a nice underground existence until he went mainstream and subsequently his music took a nosedive.
