Nobody is pointing the finger here. At least not me. I realize people react negatively when someone is pointing the finger at them or their race like it's their fault. Blurb made a good point, we all benefit from females preference, but pretending like there isn't a preference is insulting and kinda stupid. Sure there's a preference. I'll be the first to benefit from being black, as I wouldn't blame a white dude from benefiting from that shit. All I'm saying is, from my observations, it's kinda easier out there for white dudes simply because the institution of racism still exist, subliminally or subcounciously or whatever. There are some dudes that like to pretend that it's an even playing field out there for everybody, and point out the fact that black dudes can get white/Asian girls too. But I ask you this, which group do you think is larger, white/Asians chicks who like white guys or white/Asians chicks who like black guys? If you're honest with yourself you'll see what I'm talking about. Not complaining, just pointing out the reality. Skin whitening creams are a huge industry in S.E. Asia. Having experienced this firsthand, no matter how much I explain to some girls i've dated from the Philippines or Vietnam that men actually VALUE that mocha brownskin tone they have, they furiously wipe it away with the whitening cream and wear umbrella's outside out of fear of getting dark and looking poor. They didn't have this complex before colonialization. White = beautiful, dark = ugly. That's just the way it is. When it comes to men, white = rich, successful, movie star, beautiful kids. Black = hip hop, athleticism, ugly features, cheating/raping men, etc. Marrying white = moving up. Marrying black = moving down. Emulating white = right. Emulating black = wrong. If I can keep it real, that's what it means to most of the world. I think it's hard for people who are not black to see that because from your perspective this doesn't make sense. You have never been treated that way and have never seen people get treated that way. It's illogical.

It's almost like me and the unemployed men my family. I'm in IT which means the recession has not hit me as hard. In fact, my pay has increased like 40% in the last 18 months. So when I go home and see men in my family out of work for 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, from my perspecitve this is crazy. I mean, I get offered jobs all the time, why don't they? I have to turn down offers because there's just not enough time in my schedule to work all the jobs. My dad tells me I'm lucky I chose to be in IT, because other industries haven't faired so well. I don't see it like that tho. I mean, surely if they just applied themselves more they could be just as fortunate as me right? All the industries are an equal playing field right? Sometimes you have to step back and take a look at something from another perspective to see what's really happening. And in the human case the privilage goes more deep. Privilage not just in monetary value, but in the entire system. Like the one guy was alluding to, it could be the Eurocentric sense of beauty on all the magazines and TV shows that brown skin Filipinas worship and want to emulate, it could be the fact that the top 3000 CEO's in America are all white because the last one's where white, it could be the history taught to us in our books. I may have generations of privilage I'm benefiting from, so how could I possibly see things any other way? From the eyes of the unprivilaged. In my world nothing can stop me from getting a job because I have so many choices and options, but my family members don't for whatever reason. So before I call them lazy cry baby's who just aren't trying hard enough I have to first understand their situation.

One of you guys mentioned Japan being obsessed with hip hop culture. Having lived in Japan I can tell you that is a very very small minority of people, and the fact that some of them like hip hop will not change the fact that they won't sit anywhere near you on the train, (most hot chicks) won't fuck foreigners, won't rent an apartment if a foreigner has lived there before, won't date your ex girlfriend because she had black dick in her, are genuinly terrified when you get on an elevator with them, and basically worship anything blonde and white on the planet. Don't believe me? Go to Japan and tell me what you see on the billboards being advertised. I saw more white people on display than Japanese people. And sometimes not even good looking white chicks, just average English teacher chicks who got modeling jobs in Japan just because they're blonde. Look at the classified section and tell me how many jobs ask for a white English teacher, and compare that to the ones that ask for a black one. Even more important, look at the dating adverts and count the ones looking for a SWM vs. the ones looking for a brother. For every J-girl I fucked there were about 10 of them who wouldn't give me the time of day because I wasn't a tall white boy. Again, I'm not complaining. It is what it is, and it makes me stronger. I'll make up for it in Sweden Just don't ignore the truth like it doesn't exist. Are all Japanese ppl like this? No of course not. Are things getting better in Japan? Yes, in about 50 years I can imagine Japanese being somewhat use to having foreigners around. But it's going to take a more than Obama getting elected to prove to Japanese that America isn't full of blonde white people. Yes, some of them are genuienly surprised to know America has black people. Cracked me the hell up lol.

This is just my hypothesis, but I would think immigrants (of any origin) would have an easier time in the U.S. compared to Europe since in America, everybody can say you should go back to where you came from (America was founded by alien colonists), while in Europe, they can basically tell you to get off their land since it basically is their land.

This isn't even a debate....Europe is far, far, far more backwards in race/ethnic relations.

We are comparing cultures of over a thousand years to cultures of a couple hundred years. It's only logical that one will be more set in its ways.

I disagree. This thread is very helpful. I've heard a lot of guys in here raving about Europe being better than America. In terms of European, I am one of the very few visible immigrants that have actually grown up in Europe and is now living in North America. I have adult experience in contribution. Not Wikipedia and not youtube. I also have relatives and friends that live in America that WOULD NOT move back to Europe. All educated and qualified. They mention the things I have highlighted. In terms of race relations, Europe does NOT trump North America by any means. If you are not a visible minority, then Europe is great to LIVE in.

I've never seen so many immigrants in powerful sectors of society as I have in America or even Toronto for that matter in any other 'developed' country.

That being said, there are many European countries that are absolutely gorgeous to visit. Great women, great cuisine, great architecture.

I cannot speak for America, I know alot of black people that live well there but things are also alot cheaper in comparison to Canada. In Canada I do not see alot of black men doing great jobs, many friends have gone into driving buses. The one's that do make it are self-employed and worked hard to get where they are.
At my mediocre job I see pretty white girls being hired and being promoted without proving themselves, I have seen this for close to twenty years in Canada. My friends have a saying as a black man you are first in and first out when you get a job. The work culture tends to be major ass kissing followed by back stabbing.

I have left Europe (UK) over a year ago and I still get recruiters emailing for jobs they want to fill. It seemed I got alot more respect due to my work performance. I have a close cousin who works in a specialized field (IT related), he has been offered jobs in Germany. In fact he told me a great story about how he was talking in a meeting in Stuggart, when he finished they actually clapped and showed him alot of respect.

Now I do not disgree with what Moma says because he has lived in the UK, alot of black guys have a real hard time of it and alot has to do how you present yourself.

We at least owe it to each other on this thread to be honest. Bashing someone's race/ethnic group without purpose has no use here, but acknowledging the subtleties of how one has to change their tactics (to achieve success in traveling and in life) as a result of their race is useful knowledge.

Well, let me say I have experienced hard racism in the UK when I grew up, one of the political parties was the National Front and there platform was simply send the foreigners back to where they came from. Getting into fights was a common thing for me, people got the bright idea they could call me names. Despite all this, these were the happiest days of my life. I was a good athlete, good student and had personality, so I was very popular in my school. My school was predominatly white but I had friends from different backgrounds (my best friends were greek/cypriots).

Sadly though my world was turned upside down when I moved to Canada. I entered high school and right away everyone was in there groups, nerds, stoners, jocks, blacks, rich kids and so on. I really did not fit into any group although I was black and was not use to this. Canada has very soft racism which is not so in your face, you can smell it. During high school I did part time jobs in restaurants which was dishwashing/cooking while my white counterparts did busboy/waitering.

I have also spent time in America, holidays mostly visiting the family there. I once took a pretty blonde ex girlfriend on holiday to Florida, what a mistake that was. Black folks looked at me like I was an alien and white folks looked at me like they wanted to stab me. Yes this was over ten years ago, but heck I would not repeat that move again. So when people talk about race relations in America I laugh, what relations?

Life is too damn short, so to worry about money, status etc is a waste of time. I listen to idiots at work argue which cellphone is best, yet they have not been on a holiday in 6 years or left the country ever. I am on this site for the travel discussions, the game stuff does not do much for me.

Europe is a great place, even greater if you have money or a good job. Most countries over there need skilled workers, North America not as much. I travelled to places there where I was treated like someone famous, sure they have neo-nazi's and people that hate foreigners but luckily I have not come across them.

Roosh seems to be having a blast over there and I am sure he does not miss DC, same for Luckystar and a few other members who are stationed over there.

As for race relations...well, that is something that is going to be hard in a country as diverse as the USA.

I agree with some people here. Unless the information has practical value for your objectives, I'd rather avoid any racial debates.

"If your skin is Green, beware of the country of Bazookistan. The Purple-Skin-Supremacists are known for murdering and torturing Green People and they are not only plentiful in the most economically depressed parts of Bazookistan but also roam around in the streets of central Shitholabad (the economical and political capital of Bazookistan) where they actively look for targets during the nightime while the local city police is known to close and eye for the racist raids.
