I am under the impression that there are a lot of fans of the McLaren P1 on the forum?

I like it to..... I feel like the car for me is still the lamborghini Aventador tho.

I love that car. McLaren has outdone the field with it, IMO. If I was an ultra high net worth individual and I could afford any hypercar on the market (Huayra, LaFerrari, 918, etc, etc), the P1 would be my first choice.
I'd take an MP4 or 650S over a 458 or a Huracan as well.

Yeah, this. Supreme combination of daily driver ride comfort, visibility, and user friendliness joined with amazing performance. PCC is genius and it makes all their road cars have superb ride comfort which is normally unheard of in the megabuck hypercar segment. They've steadily improved their cars every year in direct response to their customer input, much like how Tesla treats their customers.

Speaking of which, one other compelling reason to go with McLaren is their superb treatment of prospective buyers and post-purchase support. They're always very chill and accommodating, unlike their closest rival Ferrari (who will tell you to GTFO and buy 5 used Ferrari's if you want a sniff at getting on a 458 waiting list for 3 years). When they upgraded the 12C after the first year of production with significant changes like more power, sport exhaust, and other additions they gave customers who purchase the first model year 12C the add-ons for free, which is something you'd never see a company like money-grubbing Porsche do.

However, on the description of one of his videos with the R8 there is a list of companies titled “My First Supercar Sponsors”. It is not clear whether these firms contributed money on the car or are just technical sponsors. Either way, Wallace is one happy man.

I owned a 2005 BMW M3 for a few years. I sold it when I started grad school. I absolutely loved that car. That model (E46 M3) will be the lusted after classic in another 15 years.

Right now, I'm pretty excited about the new M4 that is coming out. I'll hopefully be able to pick one up in a few years.

This is the first Z06 Convertible offered from the factory since 1963 when the Z06 option package was introduced for endurance racing. Records show only 199 Corvette orders with a Z06 package that year, including one convertible.

Recent technological advancements enable the building of a modern Z06 Convertible, said Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter

"Until recently it was not possible to create a lightweight, open-roof structure strong enough to cope with the braking, cornering, and acceleration of Corvette's top performance models," Juechter said. "The frame for the Z06 convertible leverages advancements in computer-aided engineering, metallurgy, and manufacturing techniques – many of which were not available just five years ago."

The aluminum structure is 20 percent stiffer than the previous, fixed-roof Z06. As there are no structural reinforcements needed for the Z06 Convertible, its curb weight is nearly identical to the Z06 Coupe. They also share the same chassis tuning, powertrain output, driver technologies and equipment options – including the Z07 Performance Package, which adds Brembo carbon-ceramic matrix brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires and adjustable front- and rear-aerodynamic components.

"The most impressive aspect of the Z06 Convertible may be its performance bandwidth," said Juechter. "Very few cars on the market can match its combination of extreme, supercar levels of performance; the flexibility for daily driving and long-distance commuting; and the 360-degree, open-air driving experience only true convertibles can offer."

Just saw the press release for the new Aston Martin GT vantage for $99k. Way cheaper than what I thought they went for: just started a new business venture, might just blow the proceeds on one of these if everything comes through ok.
