Girls can tell when they're losing a guy, but they don't usually give you any signs that they know whatever hold they have on you is slipping away.

In the early stages, she'll amp her game up.

She'll give you more head -- yes head, not just sex -- more home cooked meals, more trips to the mall, whatever she can do to bribe you to forestall your impending departure from her life, she's down.

However, when she finally has to prove to herself that you just don't give a fuck anymore, her common go-to-play is to create a situation where you have to save her from some sort of distress.

Thus far I've experienced, some sort of "grave illness", "car troubles -- like running out of gas on the highway, which she'll let happen intentionally, often somewhere close to where you are, i.e. house, job, etc.", "family problems", etc.

The ultimate is a fake pregnancy scare. Most guys hear the p-word and immediately get shook. Obviously she's not pregnant, but again, she's trying to see how much you care, and maybe use it to bring that bond back.

Whenever you counter this point in the relationship, it really is time to leap from the building, she's clearly on fire, she wants you to hose it down, but it's best to let that motherfucker burn.

Very true.

One psycho I was trying to ditch met up with a dude from craigslist, got drunk with him at a bar near my job, walked with him to where my window was at my job, and picked a fight with him outside my window and got her ass knocked out by the dude who wound up running away. I ran out and called the cops while she was crying and hugging me saying "thank you so much..." to me.

My ex did not do this, although her parents did genuinely split up at the same time we did.
