I just ended it with a fuck buddy today. Hadn't seen her all summer (lives out of town) shes pretty crazy to begin with now shes crazy +40lbs from her weight last may. I fucked her once at the beginning of the year, barely able to keep it up, she asked me every day for 2 weeks for me to come over. I said no every time. She starts freaking out and tells me I don't want to be seen with her in public and that I don't want to fuck her. Preface: beautiful women use their beauty as currency in the sexual market. Fat chicks put out like Vietnamese whores - using an open cooch as currency.

Its a downward slope for some people. I was fat in highschool. I'd eat a bunch of junk food and say fuck it I'm already eating bad food and eat more or I'd just say fuck it I'm fat already. Once I was out of highschool I educated myself and got fit again.

I think with girls its all self esteem. They gain 5 lbs freak out and get all emotional and eat way more. So many girls I know are emotional eaters. If they're stressed they down a bag of chips. Then after they down a bag of chips they hate themselves because they're fat so they eat more chips.

They interpret that as male attention and attraction -- they have become more attractive with more weight (describing that to themselves as "being more curvy"). The "dudes have low standards" explanation for increased number of fat chicks is bullshit. Guys have always had low standards, when sex comes quickly. Sure, there's a vicious cycle effect, whereby the diminishing number of thin chicks lowers standards further... but that isn't the original cause. You could argue, as feminists do, standards have gotten higher, with the increased availability of porn (though I'm not so sure of that).

I also don't think holding out on fatties is any real solution either. Some have already gone plenty long without men, while others are experts at finding men who relish their rolls.

I saw an interesting study on this before. Adjusted for inflation, fresh fruits and vegetables have become more expensive in the US while junk food has become cheaper. A box of strawberries at the supermarket across the street from is $3 for a small crate. You aren't going to get a ton of calories from strawberries so you will be hungry again soon if that's what you had for lunch. But if you bought some chips or cookies with that same $3 you will have had more calories and feel full longer. I also think the government subsidies to corn farmers have made high fructose corn syrup cheap, thus the cost of junk food has not risen along with the price of healthy food. When you factor in that American's incomes have been flat for the last several decades adjusted for inflation while healthy food has been going up and junk food going down, it's no wonder we have what we see now. Also drinking sugared drinks is huge in America. When you are drinking sodas(basically liquid candy), you get all the negatives of calories without the benefit of satiety. In Europe, it seems people are more likely to drink water, coffee or wine with meals. I've never seen people walking around with Big Gulps in Europe.

Living through the 70s and 80s I watched this whole deal unfold and know what happened.

In the 70s we didn't eat a lot of junk and our parents MADE dinner and we ate as a family. In my house if we weren't home to eat dinner by 6 it was a problem and our parents would not let us snack on the little bit of junk that was in the house. In mine it would be water and triscuts.
Eating fast food was a treat maybe once a week or two. We knew it was bad and just a novelty. I only saw coke in the house if we were having a party or cookout.

Fat girls were tortured in school all day and even the most beta loser would not be able to date them. He would be fucked with to the point of suicide. I've seen countless fat girls try to cut their wrists in school in the early eighties. The girls wore jeans so tight it would take them sometimes 20 min to get them on. Half the work to fuck them was trying to get them off. In the car it was almost impossible.

Also, the sugar/calority density in most fruits is a lot lower than it is in candy. Almost no one eats more than one apple at a time, yet people will easily eat several cookies, with hundreds more calories. Same for oranges vs orange juice. Less processed foods tend to be more satiating, and less calorie dense. Some fruits, like dates, are packed with sugar and not terribly filling, and they probably aren't much better than processed sweets. I just bought some medjool dates, but I never have more than two at a time.

Still, produce doesn't make you thin. The core of your diet is ultimately some combination of tubers, nuts, grains, poultry, seafood and meats. Produce is icing on the cake, in terms of controlling your weight, and too much fruit, due to all the sugar, can also make you fat. People are fat because they eat too much processed, calorie-dense, un-filling foods, not because they don't eat enough vegetables.

When I see a chick eating potato chips, she is immediately trashy and low class in my eyes. I can't remember the last time I bought potato chips. I buy soda a couple times a year, usually for mixed drinks.

Yes, this is definitely a factor. Sugar and soda consumption has increased significantly, and people no longer cook. Packaged/fast foods are manipulated to be as cheap as possible - a 1 cent savings is tens of millions of dollars when you're selling to millions of people a day. Most of the customers who would care aren't buying packaged foods anyway.

One individual chick within an individual group of people might not have a huge (heh) impact, but when something like 70% of the adult population is overweight or obese (url), then yeah, it's definitely a problem.

What drives up value? Scarcity. Picture a hot chick in a city where 33% of women in her age group are overweight or obese; her ego is that much bigger because that many more guys are trying to fuck her.
