best 2nd tier cities world tour
Ive been living in South America for the last 5 years (I'm currently staying in Quito, Ecuador for business) and about 2 years ago I started trying only 2nd tier cities whenever Ive had the opportunity and time to travel to Colombia or Brazil. Now, I can never see myself staying in any 1st tier city(i.e Rio, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Medellin) for an extended period of time--Granted, when I travel it's never less than 2 months and plundering fine women is always my main motivation.
Roosh's last post on his blog talks about how in the next 10 or 20 years 2nd or even 3rd tier cities(in E Europe, S. America, SE Asia) will be the only viable places for Us to hang our hats on; due to technology, obesity, feminist influence, etc. Next year im traveling to SE Asia, E Europe, Brazil and Colombia for 8 months. Cities i will stay in include Davao, Cebu, Poznan, Wroclaw, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Natal, Goiania. With that in mind I wanted to start a thread where we list 5 or more 2nd tier cities we highly recommend around the world. Here is a small list of 2nd tier cities I recommend:

!. Joao Pessoa, Brazil.
2. Brasilia, Brazil
3. Pereira, Colombia
4. Uppsala, Sweden
5. Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Unfortunately the winter months robs the city of a spot on this list. I agree with you in part but now during the late autumn/winter everyone is hibernating.

An important consideration for picking a 2nd tier city, anywhere in the world, is finding a nice centrally located pad or furnished apartment. In 4 out of the 5 cities I listed that was not a problem. Only in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, I wasnt able to find or rent one. That decreased the amount of women I banged and increased the amount of time it took to get the bang from the ones I did. Good 2nd tier cities require more pre-travel research but are worth it IMO.

That means there is opportunity for someone like me to go scoop up some real estate in BH and rent it out on gringo friendly terms.

There are so many opportunities for making money here beyond just teaching English. Me and a buddy are gonna brainstorm all day tomorrow and plot out the next few years.

Long story short, Belo Horizonte won't be a 2nd tier city for very long once we've had our way with her.

Yes Sardino ...starting and investing in a hostel, for example, in Belo Horizonte is not a bad idea. That Sorriso do lagarto hostel in BH is a shit hole. BH doesnt make it easy for the foreign traveler in terms of accomadations and budget.
BH reminded me of Medellin, Colombia but without the gringos or the sex tourists. The weather, the quality of the girls (I think Mineiras are a bit better overall than Paisas), the hills, style of living and the politeness of the people are similar to Medellin. It would take patience, but for me, Belo Horizonte has as much potential as Medellin ever had. A hostel like Casa Kiwi in Medellin would do well in the long run. Or just renting furnished apartments.

I have a prospect in Manchester I'm going visit at some point. I'll slide back down to London to hit up a couple of prospects there too, and revisit one I already smashed there.

Montreal is too big to be a 2nd tier city bro. And Cologne's Rhine-Ruhr area has more than 10 million people. Just because a city isn't the most famous in a country eg. Barcelona compared to Madrid, doesn't mean it's 2nd tier.

Montreal is definitely not 2nd tier. Quebec city is. I still consider a large city like Belo Horizonte (4.5 million metro area population) or Cologne as 2nd tier just as long as it has very few tourists and foreigners. In other words, where your foreign status makes you stand out.
