At first I also s thought that Khabib has lost it and became insane, that he has lost morally and committed career suicide, but after giving it some more thought I think what he did was a smart stunt to gain even more notoriety then the notorious one, but in Khabibs own mountain tribal style.

I don't believe Khabib will get suspended or punished seriously. He is undefeated champion with unique style and everyone wants to see him fight some more until he loses.

Considering all the persons involved are from teams of Khabib and McGregor, I believe the post fight incident could have been arranged and they made agreement Khabib would do this in case of victory. Even if it was not agreed before McGregor will probably not pull charges, if he does then he would expose himself as a hypocrite and a pussy because he himself attacked that bus and is not above PR stunts involving violence outside of octagon. UFC will also not pull charges, they want more fights of the undefeated champion for sure.

Khabib is absolute champion, superb grappling and in this fight he even demonstrated that his punching is better then that of McGregor too, that moment he mad McGregor fall from a punch showed his absolute superiority. As good as McGregor is Khabib is two levels above him and pretty much everyone he had fought previously too.

I obviously dislike the fact that Khabib is a Muslim, but on the other hand I like his untatooed, sober, pious, honorable persona as opposed to the tatooed drunk loudmouth, whiskey advertising Connor (whom I like anyway, because he is so amusing and surely has game). I think Khabib was more likely in control all this time, after all he did let go of Connor when judge said to do so, his post-fight move was most likely a stunt showing his agility in avoiding security guards and building reputation as a man taking his honor seriously. He will be forgiven with a slap on the wrist and will fight and win some more and his fights will make more money from now on.

Not surprised at all, I had a strong feeling Khabib would stifle Conor, and he did.

Indeed, I don't have a massive problem (fault wise) with Islam in and of itself as an ideology, it's got the ability to conjure up a fanatical devotion amongst its followers that I've never seen from any other religion or belief system (possibly Nazism, but obviously I wasn't around at the time). It's incredibly well thought out as a system of conquest, and keeping gender roles in check — most of us would have fairly hot, submissive wives if we were of that creed since we're intelligent etc. However, it also inevitably leads to barbarism because it's so inherently violent, but this isn't the thread for it.

I do, however, have a problem that it's alien to our shores, and yeah I know technically Christianity is but it's so ingrained it's a moot point. Islam wants to conquer and subvert and is hostile to everything.

Anyway, I'm actually glad Khabib won. I've never really warmed to McGregor, despite being a big Tyson Fury fan (they're similar in the way they hype things) ... there's a unique and appealing oddness with Fury that there isn't with Conor. He's not an antihero in the same way. In fact, I'll be honest, it kind of ruins the fun now that a large percentage of Brits now support Fury... it's probably how scene kids get irritated when their 'thing' goes mainstream. Khabib should have just grabbed the belt and mic and offered that year 2000 eminem guy a fight on the spot for it.. really bad look considering he was all about trying to be a good role model. I know what happened, sometimes you just cant put with disrespect from someone you consider a wanker, been there, your body just starts moving itself to go fuck them up. Maybe its best to just shake the guys hand and thank him for the fight if you want the high ground in it all tho.
All in all I think Tony really came out of all of this as the winner. Got redemption. Good for him, he really put his real self out there.
Conor can probably care less. He has generational money from this.

Just slap Khabib with a heavy $$$ fine....but don't suspend him. This wasn't acceptable behavior and I think although he apologized inside he doesn't regret what he did.

I would like to see a rematch, only to see if Conor bounces back. I've been a Conor fan (not a fanboy, just a fan) because I always liked his toughness and his balls. But ever since his Mayweather fight, he's gone off the rails. I follow him on IG and some of his posts over the past few months left me suspicious that he's let the money and fame get to his head and he's losing (or lost) that edge that he had 5 years ago.

And also the rumors of him partying too hard and doing too much cocaine are believable now, because it showed last night. Khabib is a great fighter, but as some of you have pointed out, is beatable, and I thought Conor would at least take it to a decision, if not win.

But Conor looked slow, and lost and deserved to get dominated.

I hope that Khabib is Conor's "Clubber Lang," and he'll get rid of the cocaine, the whiskey brands, the yachts and get back to fighting. And to complete the Rocky 3 analogy, Conor needs to go train with Nate Diaz in Stockton California to get back that toughness and will that got him to the top in the first place.

Or he needs to give it up and become a TV personality, because he'll just embarrass himself if he fights again.

And I think people are exaggerating Khabibs dominance. Sure, he took Conor down a couple times but his ground and pound was pretty ineffective. It wasnt anything like what he did to MJ or Barboza.

Conor was obviously showing some ring rust. He was flat footed the whole fight, and was barely getting any shots off. It was just too ambitious taking on Khabib after 2 years off.

It started with Khabib launching himself at Dillon Danis like some sort of flying squirrel. The commission reviewed the footage and they're holding Khabibs purse not Connor's.

Khabibs boy was already charging towards McGregor and was about to hit him before Conor hit him faster. It might be that some videos have a poor angle that make it difficult to see it well.

You can beat people up for "insulting your family and religion or make deragatory comments" just be prepared to face the consequences. Is it a pussified thing to do when law and order needs to be maintained? If we're all using this "code" an eye for an eye makes everyone blind. Chaos and anarchy ensues.
