Information Creation of Politics subforum
Check it out:

/forum-24.html

My goal is to isolate the heated political discussions from the rest of the forum.

RE: Creation of Politics subforum
Big mistake if you ask me, debates about politics lead to nothing but anger, forum members start to dislike each other and it carries over to other discussions.

I would just disallow and remove politics threads, there are plenty of places on the web where people can debate politics and troll each other to cyber death. This isn't the topic of this website to begin with so it's fair enough to expect people not to debate politics here.

There are some interesting debates on here and new information put forward.

I've just seen it happen (and worse) on other forums. Hopefully it doesn't repeat itself now as well..

Banning topics is extreme, and something I only reserve for P4P.

Just because there is a politics subforum, doesn't mean guys can break the rules and disrespect others. Read the subforums sticky.

Probably a good idea to have a politics subforum.

RE: Creation of Politics subforum
Good idea, in my opinion. The political discussions have been pretty heated--and numerous--lately and it's a good idea to rein it in. I think we all can fall victim to getting caught up in a lively discussion (I myself recently got drawn into one), and it's good to be reminded of the limitations and boundaries of an Internet forum.

Separating it out and hitting the reset button on the rules does that, I think.

I think it will die down after OWS cools off. Then it will pick up again as the presidental elections get close. I has been heated but also entertaining and informative.

If I thought people would be rational I'd actually use that forum to debate, now it's however another venue for my personal brief amusement.

Debating politics or religion is OK if you're not drunk in a bar or sitting at the dinner table.

Because it wasn't used enough. Roosh created it back when there wasn't tens of millions of Muslims invading Europe or a massive presidential election.

If Roosh creates a new Politics subforum, it would be very popular until WW3 and the presidential elections die down.

RE: Creation of Politics subforum
I really like it the way it is now. Having the "everything else" subforum keeps all the individual politics topics in their own thread.
If you had a politics subforum presumably you'd see 30 or 40 posts on Trump, another 20 on the migrant crisis, etc.

The way it is now works really well, I think.

You have to be really careful with too many subfora.

I've seen it happen before on other forums and it inevitably leads to a drop off in participation.

For this reason I think the Deep Forum here should be re-integrated with everything else.

Agreed. If you can't create a topic that would need to be "moved" to that forum then it doesn't make sense to have it. Most of the stuff that is in there would be fine in "Everything else" and would likely get more of the traffic it deserves too.

RE: Creation of Politics subforum
I think Deep Forum should stay as is. Everything Else has developed a nice, fast-paced "culture" with a handful of very active threads and the rest of the first page being rather quickly flushed out with new topics.

The point of "deep forum" is to discuss stuff at at a leisurely pace, and that's a goal that would suffer if the threads there had to compete with the current-events driven developments on Everything Else. Keep the Deep Forum.

Agreed.

I hate when forums have too many sub-forums.

Contact in Deep Forum would be better off in EE forum I think.

Heheh...fantastic. Good work, CrashBang! Correct use of a neuter plural form of Latin noun. The average guy would not have so written.

All right, that's my language geek comment for the day. tard

Just had to say that.
