This is one that happened recently, via text.

her: (girl's name)'s breaking out the line dancing... yay...
me: I don't think you're allowed to call it a line when there's only one of you.
her: that's an awfully good point.
me: I think you'd have to call that square dancing.
her: no no no, totally different. The music is different and the style. It's from a totally different part of the country. I should know, I'm the expert.
me: I didn't mean that kind of square...
her: boom
