So check this out.

I biz associate of mine goes to these "bootcamp" workouts on the beach.

The classes are mostly girls (side note: could be a good place to swoop for you day Game heads out there).

Here is the thing:

He says about 30 girls have been in the classes before their wedding or engagement or some crap.

No doubt to look good in the photos. "Oh my god, the wedding photos will last forever! I have to look my best".

And none of the girls ever come back for workouts after there wedding.

You have to think that these girls, right after the wedding is over, go home and pig out for the rest of their lives.

Again, another reason why you shouldn't marry an American girl.

This isn't just specific to American girls. Plenty of girls worldwide want to look good for the wedding, then come complacent during the marriage. Latinas are good for getting fat after having kids. I'd much rather marry a girl from the U.S. with earning potential than a poor girl from a 3rd world country that lived on dirt floors.

That fact that you compared one option of "American women" with a second option of a "poor girl from a 3rd world country that lived on dirt floors." speaks volumes.

Truth to be told, a lot of girls in Europe do the same. Not necessary before wedding, but before their summer vacation, to "look good" in a swimming suit.

Makes me wonder if they'd spent so much effort if they got married without a wedding as we did (stopped by the city hall at the way to work, took us 15 minutes or so; who needs all that stupid wedding crap?)

Guys are not different though - everyone who goes to gym regularly knows that Jan is the month when the gym is PACKED by the dudes who obviously haven't been there for a while. A new year resolution maybe. Typically it lasts no more than 2-3 weeks though.

My cousin's wife did this. These "bridal bootcamps" are big business, just like everything else associated with the wedding machine here in the US. They do it to fit into the dress, and to try to look as good as they can for the weddding. My cousin's wife was ALREADY big, but wanted to drop some weight before the wedding. She ballooned up in law school, and never really lost the weight. And yeah...she never went back to exercising. Now add baby weight to that, and you get the picture. They'll run back to the gym to lose weight after you break up with them, so they can try to get in shape and snag another dude (and hopefully make you jealous), but the cycle will repeat...

As the saying goes, the most fattening cake of all is wedding cake.

Guys should view the pre-wedding dieting/exercising their fiancees do as an insult - it's for the pictures, for the wedding guests, but it is most definitely NOT for the groom.

I recently moved from NYC to the South. You can see the difference - girls get married much younger down here and get fat earlier. In NYC, lots of women are single well into their 30s, so they are forced by the sharp sword of competition to stay in decent shape - no time for complacency or they will find no one is interested in even buying them a dinner before a pump and dump.

In America, odds are high.

I've been to my share of weddings, and I've never witnessed anything close to that. I'm not saying the majority of the bridesmaids were HOT, but a whole lineup of fatties like that? NO. I wonder what part of the country this wedding took place in...

Here's a good cross-cut example of girls I see in weddings stateside. I don't hang out with fat people. It's not my lifestyle to be fat, and I have little in common with those that choose to live that way.

And fat women in America don't bother me. There are plenty of attractive ones running around. I'm in Socal and took a drive down Coast H-way yesterday. I was reminded of the QOG in this part of the country. Amazing. Their even out running/walking in cold, overcast weather.

America pretty much heightens most human tendencies because there are limited filters in the American society. Americans seem to do what others would do if there wasn't a social taboo restraining from those actions.

The bottom line is class or perceived notion of class. Other countries where you observe reptiles with manners have a perceived notion of class.

There is no class in America. It's just money and people in America can get rich overnight.

Thus you have pigs swilling champagne and flying first class here and there.
You meet someone in a VIP section looking very expensive (Versace dress, fly perfume etc) but you fail to look for the cues to find out what you are dealing with is..an actress.
A female who doesn't have any internal constraints and is just out for what she can get.
America merely encourages this. I've even seen women from other more traditional country come to America and adopt these mannerisms as soon as they realise there are no repercussions for their actions. Money, money, money, unambiguously drilled into their heads from birth.

Kudos to you. None of us do.

The point of the post is that the "un-fat" American girls you are hanging out with now are going to be fat after they are married.

I would like to see an update of those horribly dressed girls in that wedding picture in 5 years. Hell, 2 years.

Maybe Texas. I've seen some real mammals out there. First time I went to Houston I was in dismay.
