I have always foreseen a moment where this place would be shut down, but I never imagined it would happen this way...

Game is like the 2nd amendment, of course some guys will use it for bad things, like fucking married women or ruining LTR material girls, but to take it from men, and consequentially the ability to defend themselves and navigate through relationships is unfair and will do them no good at all

What happened to "game saves lives"?

As much as I respect Roosh and his personal decision to take another direction in life that is congruent with his faith, the veterans here needs to create another game forum or a refuge for the oldschool stuff
I also want to archive this place but I have no experience with that

The existence of forums such as this is a consequence of cultural decline and the average guy being given a pretty raw deal. Guys can't trust their family members to act in their interests in fact in many cases the family feeds them bullshit that will sabotage their success in life and with women. I can see toning things down a bit because the banter is a bit declasse at times, but I believe that it would be a mistake to clamp down too hard. Purity is traditionally a female virtue, men where generally left to their own devices and the expectation for them was to not take a girl on a path towards marriage and cause her to deviate from that path.

As someone who appreciates life as a pensive epicurean and bon vivant, I've always found this place a refuge and have enjoyed a certain kind of kinship-from-afar with many men here that have shared themselves and their thoughts in both wholesome and less savory aspects.

I'm grateful for this forum. I love the upward spirit. I love travel.

In limited doses I also love the dark side of life. And I really love pussy!

Well this is sad, the US has no shortage of “Christian Talk.” It’s actually the most religious country in the western world and I believe some of the major problems that we discuss here on a daily basis arise from the fact that the Christian Right, who makes up majority of America’s potential opposition to liberal degeneracy, is incompetent, obsessed with the apocalypse and the return of the messiah and as a result has completely failed to have any victories in the last 50 years.

My feeling as well. I’ve been around since Roosh created Return of Kings and wrote about the coming culture wars, SJWs, the global smartphone addiction etc. He was a good few years ahead on many major ”trends” and areas.

Will not be surprised if more and more atomized people in global urban hotspots silently start disconnecting from our modern sterile culture, in order to find a deeper meaning... Just like Roosh have. A person can extract only so much value from soy lattes, feminist vegan restaurants and the latest Tinder clone.

I agree with the posters who say this change is a bit heavy-handed. On the other hand, there have been signs lately, and I’m excited to see this new direction.

I think that thread is extremely important, actually.

I had a friend over for drinks, some nights back; very good friend. Her and I would have riveting conversations, and we'd do kindnesses for one another. Spent most of our breaks together. And then that moment arose; you know the one. The convresation's been fun, the liquor is hitting just the right levels - this is when you escalate. And believe me, I dearly would have loved to. But I didn't.

She has a couple of children from a lousy ex-husband, and I'm not equipped to become a step father. Escalating would have been a selfish action, and a poor way to treat a friend.

I didn't try and sleep with her, not because it would have violated chastity, but because it would have violated charity.

One of the Catch 22s of our era, is that women are called to chastity, and they're utterly dropping the ball. Leaving us men in a conundrum: behave with Classical ethics, get drowned in endless one night stands; behave with Christian ethics, get ignored. I'm still trying to figure out how to square this circle; I hope the new rules don't prevent such conversations, moving forward.

These changes will affect the travel and game sections. But anyway the travel section (appart from meetups) was dying in the last couple of years, with many people (me included) refraining to drop publicly certain intel on certain places.

There will still be interesting topics around, like fitness, health, society and politics.

I just hope that no content would be deleted/erased. That would feel like when the Talibans demolished those ancient Buhdda statues in Afghanistan, or more recently the burning of the Tower and dome of the Notre Dame Cathedral.

It is RooshV forum, and for good and bad, always have been with Roosh rules.

Certainly other places will arise for the hot shots of the game section to continue to drop wisdom.

I've watched your writing mature and change, and I've also matured quite a bit over years I've been here. I'm a Christian like you, although not the most devout one.

That being said, I think this is too extreme of a move. Just eight months ago you published a book that said a man should "focus on a modest goal of ten lays" simply to understand the nature of women. Beautifully stated. I look at my evolution, and the evolution of this place and general, and I noticed a pattern. Guys who discover this place more often than not discover it due to a female situation of some sort, whether it be trying to bang as many girls as possible or understanding what went wrong with an ex. So for the most part, they start out in Travel/Game, perhaps with a little bit of "Life/Fitness" sprinkled in.

As time goes on, they start to see how male-female dynamics are at work in other aspects of their life, such as dealing with their female co-workers, family friends, or just simply situations that they have witnessed where females had unspoken yet special advantages, which leads them to the "Everything Else" section.

From here, they start to understand the greater realm of human interaction and fundamental human motivations and interest in the "everything else" subforum slowly becomes interest in both the "Everything Else" forum and the "Politics and War".

Now at this point, a guy on here reaches an important juncture and does one of two things: 1) He gets stuck in the Game/Everything Else/Politics section or 2) He starts to have more significant focus in the "Lifestyle and Fitness" section. In other words, we either get stuck talking or we get doing. If you're using the forum the right way, guys should end up mostly reading the Lifestyle and Fitness section. Not to say you never, ever look at anything else on the forum, but this should be your main focal point if you're truly growing. There's a finite amount that needs to be figured out in terms of human nature and how human and societal interactions work, at some point you just got to roll up your sleeves, pick your balls off the floor, and get moving.

If you look at other guys such as Victor Pride, Chris from Good Looking Loser, and Mike Cernovich from his Danger and Play days, they are/were all heavy on practical advice, and they don't/didn't spend too much time overcomplicating the nature of women. Coincidentally, these are all guys that actually back their brand up and have put photos of themselves out there for the world to see. And I have to be honest, for a couple years, I realized that nothing new was being said in the Game/Everything Else forums yet I still spent too much time their reading. If you've been on the forum for a few years, the time for postulating the greater world and women is over, and you need to take actions. You know how things are at that point, so now what are you going to do with it?
