What helped it immensely was the right SSRI. A good dr. told me to tough out the side-effects of celexa, aka Citalopram, sort of an Effexor light.

Completely changed my life. : )

@debeguiled, after 25 years of Madness? Oh yeah, I don't plan on coming off of these anytime soon. When your world has been cuckoo for 20 years and it stabilizes because of a little SSRI, you need a good year or two to reinterpret reality. I know an ex alcoholic who is going through the same thing, reinterpreting her reality with no alcohol in the way. I don't know of any speeding this up technique, or toughing it out technique, it's a matter of just walking through the world with a completely different emotional state and instead of thinking this street is gross, you think the street it's okay oh, those are nice trees also! And you do this hundreds of times until your brain rewires into a more positive thinking operating system.

So how long have you been on them? I am curious because I was on an anti-depressant for two years, going to a therapist for the same time, and just came off them a few months ago with trepidation, but things have been better and I am hearing birds chirping for the first time in years. I literally wasn't hearing them before.

Next is noticing flowers, but I don't want to get too crazy.

I've been on these for 5 years now, and it's funny because I did notice the birds chirping yesterday morning! I have tried many ssris, I found that Paxil was just awful, stopped my brain in its tracks, a very strange sensation, and Prozac is different than Paxil and Effexor is different than Prozac and my chemical makeup is different from yours, and our environments are different too. I have been thinking of coming off of these however, maybe in the next year I'll start very very slowly coming off of them. Good to hear you're hearing birds! Presuming they actually exist, if not, ummmm, yeah.

When your subjective experience is determined from a place right in between your ears, and you feel like there is absolutely nothing you can do about it...the silliness that is going on " out there" is sort of a no thing, in fact, being capable of being infuriated by the idiots out there really is a kind of luxury at this point. And then this happens close to a 100 times over 20 years and it's not stopping after seeing 4 psychiatrists and you think you are doomed to experiencing these episodes of madness for the rest of your life. What can idiots out there really threaten me with after all of this? Lol. They are pathetic.

You all know what to do, in fact if you think you're so powerless, remember what a passenger on a bus once told me " do you know how much damage one person can do with fire? "The elites looooove their property.

This said, I'm glad people are pointing out how absurd things are getting, because they were absurd in the 80,s and 90's too but the media had total and absolute control of any narrative, now with the internet, they don't. : )

The news article is in Portuguese, so allow me to relay to you this honk. A politician decided the city government from our capital city should celebrate the day against discrimination of degenerates, coming up this month. His proposal? To paint the zebra crossings in rainbow colors.

But clown world is never about one level of honk, so here's another one: the politician is from the most right wing party with a seat in Parliament. The CEO fucked up.

Anyone who mixes personal desires at work is going to get the company into trouble. This CEO crossed the line and lost $11 million. Work must be sterile and focus only on work. No chit chat. Once you leave work, you can go to a strip bar.

This reminds me of the engineering manager at Uber who asked a female subordinate if she was into polyamory. Workers need make work work and go day game strangers during lunch break. This will help the company avoid litigation.

I think some men behave like work allows them to hit on girls, because they can't escape. They don't have the confidence to attract girls IRL. If guys can meet / bang girls outside of work, then they would avoid this issue from the onset.

When I go to meetings, I keep a safe distance with women and don't comment on their appearance. I talk about the weather. I'll look at the conference screen and don't let their female body even register in my psyche. I attend the meeting and get out of there. I don't linger or socialize with their staff. I care more about my business than being social. Boring behavior means safe these days.
