Age is not just about the birth defect rate. I'll make the factors clear here so that nobody has to go digging.

Likely notch count is probably higher (doubt claims to the contrary) leads to greater possibility of womb damage via STDs and other issues.
Less viable fertility combined with male fertility issues tip scales towards serious problems getting her pregnant.
Longer time brainwashed by society.
Longer time operating under her own authority = issues of accepting male dominance.
Higher chance of injury/sickness during/after pregnancy.
Longer recovery time from pregnancy.
Worse unrecoverable injuries from pregnancy (back-pain/stretch marks on a 20yo vs 30yo).
Less energy for the mother to raise the children.
Less energy down the line to help sons/daughters raise her grandchildren.
Older = more jaded = less able to bond with husband or children.

This list is not even exhaustive but it should be enough to explain why a 30 year old 7 does not even rank close to 20 year old 6 when it comes to choosing a mother for your children. I am only 32 and starting to feel old already!... I'm getting married and starting a family this year, even then, when my kids are 10 their grandpa will be 75... When I was 10 my grandpa was only 65 and he was still old as fuck. For ANY hope of proper intergenerational relationships among family, which are important, you need successive generations of people having kids at age 30 or younger.

Too many dudes here thinking they can bang into their late 30s/40s, then settle down and have two kids, have their much younger wife do most of the child raising legwork, retire early, and that this is enough to pull their own weight and propel society forward. Fuck no.

You need 3+ kids, relatively young, and you need to work to give them the good things in life plus set an example for ambition. Then you need to work hard into your old age as a patriarch and beacon of endurance to help raise 9 grandchildren, until your stoic death, hopefully at age 85, inspiring AT LEAST 2 male grandchildren to repeat the entire process again. This is ACTUALLY what is needed to sustain and grow the West... but it's already far too late for many PUA men who have no wife or real career to ever be net contributors.

You plug in your birthday and an age at which you expect to be dead and/or have to make a hard decision or something. I've set mine to 35 because that's when I've decided I need to make a solid yes or no decision on whether or not I'm going to have a wife and/or children in this lifetime and act immediately on it if I haven't already. In the meantime, I know exactly how much time I've got to square away my career stuff, check unmarried childless guy things off the list, and figure out how exactly I want to raise kids and lead a family if I do, such as religion, values, location, schools, maybe jus soli if my wife and I are from different countries and want our kids to have a 3rd passport (or birth each of our kids in different jus soli countries so they can all buy property and own businesses around the world in each other's names when they grow up), etc.

It's not because I'm trying to save the species or anything (the future of humanity does not hinge solely upon my actions) and a low national birthrate in one era doesn't necessarily mean that all future eras will have low birth rates (and, even if every Japanese couple only has 1 kid for the next century, there will still be more Japanese people on Earth and in Japan than there ever were for most of history). The planet also has a biological carrying capacity which is estimated at around 11 billion from what I've heard so I don't necessarily think that every single guy must or is destined to spawn as many children as possible solely for the sake of perpetuating the species.

I just figure that's around the age at which I'll still likely be able to raise children properly and not be in my 70s by the time they are graduating from high school (assuming I even live that long). I'm not so much accounting for grandchildren in that because I'm not taking it as a given that it would happen even if I did have kids but that's something worth considering too as we will each only survive for so long and most of us probably won't see 90. In fact, statistically, most of us likely won't see 80.

Who knows, maybe I'll convert to Islam and move to a country where polygamy is legal and accepted so I can produce as many offspring as possible in the shortest time because I can have more than one woman pregnant at a time without being an absent father paying child support and juggling several families who all hate him. Maybe start my own dynasty and put my last name on stuff throughout the city and province. Could start a famous noble family who people refer to by their last name and origin city. 41 can be an adequate age to start a family and have children. It is not as black and white as it seems, and much depends on personal circumstances.

With that said, regardless of age, you seem to have an absolute gem of a woman on your hands. As others have mentioned, instead of focusing on differences in colour, you should focus on other qualities, of which you have listed many.

You may end up regretting your decision to let her go at any age, let alone at 41. I believe you should count your blessing as this is seriously a wonderful dilemma to have.
