I don't see legalizing prostitution as a cure to the problem. More like dialysis. It's something I don't want anyone to have to resort to but it is something to keep in the back pocket as a very last resort for someone who would not make it without it and it is something to prevent these guys from completely shutting down long enough for them to, hopefully, learn some basic game and start improving themselves once they actually understand the real causes of their problems and how to engage them.

Frankly though, game is great and saves lives but some guys are already too far gone. In The Matrix, Morpheus and pals had a rule that they don't unplug anyone after a certain age because they are already fully dependent on the Matrix and the shock from having their connection to it severed would almost certainly kill them. A similar principle applies to late-stage incels. Even if you start trying to teach them game, they will most likely reject it, because they have been conditioned their whole lives to do that, and continue carrying out their programming to its inevitable and disappointing end.

The point Dan Savage made which I reluctantly find myself agreeing with is that some males are, through no fault of their own, never going to be attractive or capable enough to secure the genuine affection of any attractive female. These cases are very rare and are usually the result of some form of physical deformity or disability such as motor neuron disease or mental retardation (understanding and employing game does require a certain level of intelligence). However, even people with physical deformities can be successful with game, as we see with Nick Vujicic, whose wife is not bad looking, and others like him.

As I said, the catastrophically deformed and disabled account for a very small percentage of involuntarily celibate males and most incels are those individuals who do not have anything catastrophically wrong with them physically but who have been plugged in too deep for too long and had their neural cable melted into the port. These individuals are very often truly beyond help and cannot be cured because they will not allow themselves to be, will fight to protect their virtual reality as plugged in people do in The Matrix, and fully deprogramming them would take more time than either you or I have even if we could do it without traumatizing them to the point that they become vegetables.

Rather than a cure, all that can be offered then is a treatment which, hopefully, will keep them just far enough away from the edge that they don't fall over it and wind up real-lifing someone.

A few years ago I was a sad sack that could only get laid with ugly chicks and fat chicks. (With the occasional hottie thrown in, which made things worse since I didn't know how I did it!)

I tend to agree with waggle^^^. A hooker might pull a guy like this off the edge. I tend to disagree with this being "just a cry for help". It was most certainly a cry for help, but I've met people who threatened suicide and were laughed at and then went through with it just to show everybody.

Well I disagree on a few points. The Covington story isn't going away (due to some very prominent people in media not allowing it to), and I think it's far from a minor story.

Beto on the other hand, seems like a very weak candidate to me, despite his popularity in Texas. There's no way a white man will be the Dem's candidate. Not in this political climate. Here is the issue to sum it all up. It's not about the issues. It's about Trump. They want him out. Any way possible. Liberal blacks and whites hate Trump so much that they are even willing to lose their own jobs and economy for it. As soon as Trump leaves office, General Motors will not be the only company that will immediately head to China or Vietnam permanently. All the H1Bs will come back and Beto would order the wall torn down like some sick Ronald Reagan parody. That's what these people want. The war is over the moderate voter and whether or not Trump can maintain his cool and present the case to the moderates or undecided because the Republican base is too small and the liberals outnumber us in raw numbers.

Beto is the only competitive guy they have. They will field him and he will beat those others. He might end up VP to a woman, but I doubt it. I see it the other way around. Most guys, unless you're in the top 10% of men, have all gone through dry spells. I could be considered somewhat incel in college but that's because I was recovering from the trauma of seeing domestic violence going down in my personal life and wasn't equipped to "game chicks brah! Escorts will not solve all a guys problems, but they can help certain individuals. It's hard to say how one can react to them. It could result in self-steam boost, calming of what i call "abandonment anxiety" (It doesn't matter if your date ghost you like a psychopathic bitch. Sex is just a phone call and 200 away) and over time improve social skills. But it can also result in severe sex and spending addictions. And if the guy is that unstable he could hurt one of these chicks if he has a few bad first experiences. The poster above is right. What I find most troubling about incels is not the incels themselves, but the way the rest of society views them. We mock them, we ridicule and humiliate them. We laugh at their misery. I've always just felt extreme pity and empathy for those too genetically misfortunate and awkward to find a sexual partner and I think it reveals a dark dark aspect of human nature that some take such sadistic pleasure in watching them in pain.
