6 years isn't enough time for even one family to do a study worth anything.

I'm sure they included blended families in the two parent households as well and we know the rates for physical and sexual abuse are higher in families with step parents. That will skew the results heavily.

Study means nothing. Mommy and Daddy in the home is a win for the family and kids.

You really hit the nail on the head here. My dad worked long hours when I was growing up. I can clearly remember going to bed nights when my father wasn't home vs nights when he was and there was always a sense of security and stability when we all went to sleep with him at home vs when he wasn't.

When he had to take a new job in another city and could only come home on weekends, it was the prelude to a lot of problems at home and school.

It also show the importance of Dad's shouldn't have to take jobs that take them long times away from home.

What's the point of a job if that means he has little time and energy to even properly raise his children?

News articles are never good to interpret scholar studies as typists don't know how to interpret the results and blindly just get thier article information from the research press document which contains pre-made highlights and bulletpoints.

I can't access the actual study but the article shows enough trash to toss this study aside:

- Goofy qualitative survey which likely cooked up questions.

- Goofy "well-being index" used to interrupt the survey results with the details of this index nonsurprisingly missing.

- Zero extracts of hard child data to even help further back up the researchers claims.

Thus, it's a bogus sham study used to circle jerk toxic SJW grant money and to keep weird women with bad haircuts employees in Academia. Just junk research. This is typical for the sort of research SJW women pump out these days.

You use these sort of Academic papers to line the cat box.
