The Sex Addicts thread
I followed my shrink's advice and took a long break. He said that I should not hang out with sex addicts or read forums where sex addicts post. It seems many folks here are like me, I can feel it. Many single, lonely guys travel to have more and more sex, but are shy to admit it? Lets be honest in this thread.
However, sexual addiction creates social and financial problems. Who knows, maybe we can help each other.
Your thoughts?

Next session, ask your shrink what his addiction is.

If he says nothing, point at him and say "there it is, lying."

Everyone has problems and addictions. Some are addicted to sex, some booze, some blow, some sleeping pills, some social media, hell some people are addicted to making others thing they have it all figured out.

Welcome to life.

Linux, he DOESN'T HAVE ANY ADDICTIONS. Seriously. I'm paying him a lot of money, trust me. I know this may be a taboo thread, because there are many deeply conservative people on this forum. The members don't want to post here, because others would call them sex addicts.

Let me speak about my personal experience. I have worked in the porn industry for 15 years. That's how it all started. I have recently converted to Buddhism and found some peace, but still struggling...

Come on, guys, don't be shy. We can share our experience in sex addiction and find some solutions.

RE: The Sex Addicts thread
This is so on-point and I'm glad a discussion around this is forming. Throughout most of my 20s, I was fucking so many women, it was just absurd, and I wasn't even enjoying myself. I was just fucking to pass the time, fucking to build up self-esteem, fucking because I was lonely, fucking because I was bored. Fucking women I didn't even want to fuck, but just could because it was available.

In between fucking, porn porn porn, and hookers hookers hookers. It didn't feel good, I wasn't happy at all, I felt bad after most of those fucks, and yet I kept going. My personal life, work life, and college education all suffered because of it. Those are the hallmarks of an addiction, and yet we never discuss this because men are "supposed to be dogs" and are "supposed to fuck a lot and up their notch count at all costs".

Speaking from experience, I believe this is a fundamentally unhealthy approach to life. If you live this way, you will have nothing to show for it after 25 years but loneliness, STDs and a mediocre job.

Now that I'm 35 and a bit healthier mentally, I truly understand what Napoleon Hill meant when he said that you need to transmute your Libido and channel it into other pursuits. It's also what the Bible says when it advises you to submit the flesh to the spirit.

I still want to fuck all day every day but I make a choice not to because I know that it's not healthy. I've gone down the road and I hope I can prevent other younger men from going down that road.

I know guys who have fucked 400, 500 women, I know a dude who fucked Kate Moss in her prime, and they aren't happy either. Sex is great but it needs to have its proper place inside of the rest of your life structures. Do Jelqing exercises to keep your sexual health going during times when you aren't having sex. I haven't had sex or watched porn in almost a year(except that one time where a girl just made it too easy) and I've never been happier.

You think it's on-point, but I think you're missing the point entirely. The purpose of most discussion here is self improvement in it's many forms

You said ❝men are "supposed to be dogs" and are "supposed to fuck a lot and up their notch count at all costs". ❞ Why would a man be wrongly generalizing men this way? No one here endorses letting your life go on decline over pussy, what is actually encouraged is in stark contrast to what you said, Don't put the pussy on a pedestal, Work on your inner game, don't watch porn or use prostitutes. I really don't see why so many people give this place a bad rap.

Also, if you're 35, how have you got 25 years of experience? You started when you were 10?

You endorse jelqing ?

You reference the bible?

You haven't been laid in almost a year but insist on giving advice to others?

You are a shit poster

You're just jealous because you're 5'8 with a 4-inch dick and never get laid. Fuck off loser. Sex addiction is a real problem.

RE: The Sex Addicts thread
I'm sure a minority of members are true sex addicts but I don't think the label applies to most of us. Traveling for gaming and banging foreign girls doesn't make you a sex addict. It's a form of adventure, and it's an answer to our instincts. Everyone wants to spread their seed around the world. Hell, I don't even bang that much when I'm abroad but it's still damn fun, even when it's expensive and not a great ROI. The variety and adventure make it better.

For a real sex addict, wouldn't P4P be the most efficient way to have sex? If you live in Latin America, SEA or EE you can bang prostitutes for cheap. A guy with an average salary could bang a different one every day.

RE: The Sex Addicts thread
More guys are addicted to the appearance of having a lot of sex over sex itself.

Two different things.

The irony is that guys in relationships are usually having more sex than players and guys having harems because it's more implicit and direct.

You can jump in and correct me but this forum is a microcosm.

LINUX is on the money, everyone has addictions of various forms and it's part of life.

Life has a funny way of kicking you in the nuts and teaching you a lesson when an addiction takes control so make of that what you will.

The trick is to spread out your addictions across many socially acceptable habits, so on the whole it seems well balanced and in control.

When you find yourself bunching up on a particular addiction, time to recalibrate.

I was a borderline sex addict and when I suggested taking a break the men on here thought I was insane.

Anyway, I took a break and I felt much better for it.

I'm moving country next week and I will start getting back out there in 3 months or so feeling much better.
