Just a quick introduction for those of you who haven’t read my 19 posts on this forum.

I’m a 24-year old virgin.

Have approached (what feels like) 1000 women since I first discovered game in 2013.

Most girls reject me right after my opener. It doesn’t matter if I open direct or indirect.

I mostly do lone wolf daygame, but I’ve done a bit of nightgame as well.

Gotten maybe like 100 numbers and only 6 dates.

Anyways, here’s what I think is wrong with my life:

Fitness

Currently, I’m 5’9, 138 lbs.

The main reason I’m so skinny is because I suffer from shoulder dyskinesis and piriformis syndrome.

I’ve been working with various health professionals for several years, but none of them can seem to help.

Right now, I’m working with an osteopath, and he’s been the most helpful so far, but I’m not sure if he can fix me 100%. I guess I just gotta keep working with him and doing his exercises.

Been trying to eat more and am slowly gaining weight (about 2 lbs a month).

I can lift light weights, but I find if I go too heavy, I start experiencing pain in my left arm and my left leg. Right now, I’m running a modified StrongLifts program and gradually pushing through my pain thresholds.

Fashion

I have a looks-maxing thread on another forum. Please PM me for the link. I’ve been gradually improving my wardrobe using the advice I’ve been given so far.

Work

So I graduated in 2017 with a useless bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Right now, I work random office jobs through the temp agency.

They always have work for me, and they always pay $15 an hour, which equates to about $2000 a month after taxes.

Put simply, I earn very little.

I’ve thought long and hard about what I’m passionate about, and of course, it’s reading and writing.

But how do you make money writing?

Well, I found out about copywriting.

So I completed a prestigious online course. Polished up my portfolio and created a website to showcase it.

Going to compile a list of advertising agencies in my area and start cold calling them to see if they need any freelance work done. Also been applying to some jobs on a copywriting Facebook group as well.

Pretty much going all in with my business. If it fails, I might go back to school for something stupid, but more employable, like digital marketing, tourism management, or public relations. I can also try applying to actual copywriting jobs, rather than trying to be a freelancer.

Because the way I see it is this: I suck at math and science, I can’t code, and I suck at working with my hands (trades). The only thing I seem to enjoy is reading and writing.

Logistics

I still live at home with my parents, which sucks, because they are super-religious and don’t approve of me bringing home random girls.

I’m currently in Vancouver, but am thinking of moving to a cheaper Canadian city like Calgary or Ottawa.

The problem is that I’m not sure if I could survive living on my own making $2000 a month. I would prefer a one-bedroom apartment downtown to ensure solid logistics and no cockblocking roommates.

So I’m conflicted now on whether I should move out ASAP, go back to school, or work on my business more. I currently have 15k saved up.

Social Circle

All my old friends just smoke weed and play video games, so I cut them off.

Now I have no friends.

Maybe if I had a social circle where I was constantly meeting hot girls every week, that would make my life easier than just grinding it out with cold approach.

But I don’t know how to become friends with the high-status kids.

My only plan is to force myself to go back to gaming in bars and clubs. But this time, instead of just focusing on talking to the hot girls, focus on talking to EVERYONE. This includes the hot girls, the groups of hot girls and guys, and the groups of just hot guys.

Pretty much just talk to EVERYONE, regardless of if they are girls, guys, or mixed.

Try to bring as much value as I can, like what Noir mentioned in Beer’s social circle thread.

I know I don’t have much value, so the only thing I can bring to the table is positive vibes and the desire to get to know someone on a deeper level (most people don’t care about “intellectual” conversation in nightlife though, they just want to have fun).

High standards

Another thing that’s holding me back from getting laid is my high standards.

I’m a delusional virgin with high standards. I pretty much only approach 6’s and up.

Also, I’m Asian, but I only approach white girls. I don’t find minority girls attractive for some fucked-up reason.

I’m currently trying to do nofap, but it's been hard as hell. My longest streaks have been 22 and 17 days. I find that when I don’t fap for awhile, girls start to look a lot more hotter, which is good because it makes me approach more.

Anyways, I’ve had an ugly girl offer me sex before, but I turned her down. She had purple hair, piercings, and tattoos. I will not give my V-card to a girl like that.

I rather keep working on my SMV until I can garner interest from the 6’s and up.

Because the way I see it is this: I’ve been approaching for so long. When I finally meet a girl who’s DTF, I want her to be at least decently attractive. I want the feeling of satisfaction that all my hard work has paid off. If I pay a hooker or nail a 4, what would’ve been the point of all that effort?

Anyways, I think that’s enough rambling for now. As you can see, I have many problems, but I hope that by posting here, I can sort my thoughts out and receive some actionable advice.

Your best bet would be to go to SE Asia and drop your standards. From what I've read those women throw themselves at Western men because there's no hint of masculinity in those countries. If you don't have enough money save up. Realize that sex isn't a big deal at the end of the day and get experience one way or the other. I'm not a virgin but I'm sort of in your position (working dead end jobs, still living with parents, etc). I've tried the whole American women stuff and cold approaching and you're swimming up creek when you do that. I've even had fairly average girls flake on me don't get me started on hot chicks. I'm currently doing social media glam lifestyle to help my odds with western chicks but that will take a couple more months.

If you can't get laid in SE Asia you have some kind of social anxiety. I personally don't want to fuck hundreds of girls but just want to get enough experience so I know what I want when I do settle down as well as can fuck my wife properly, knowing I can leave if she wants to let herself go. Game is the gift that keeps on giving don't give up

Oh and I forgot to mention when you do get older you will regret not fucking more girls. This is something that is in the back of my head. Only you can decide how much is enough. I personally would be cool once I hit 50 so I can focus on other matters. Generally speaking and this is something you have to work at but high school never ends. If you can't get girls chances are high you're in the category of gamer geek or other assorted loser. You want to eventually position yourself as high school jock or frat boy. This is something I'm working on so just consider yourself a work in progress.

My advice to you is to move out, it will allow you to operate much smoother and think more clearly with no one controlling what you do. Once you have your independence it will be much easier to get girls.

+1 on the advice to move out. Moving to a new city with a cooler scene and making some new friends can help you improve your reputation and SMV, as well as get you access to new girls.
If you are seen in your current social circle as the loser / awkward guy, you may need to drastically change location to escape that rep, you can change your behaviour that your current friends have come to expect from you and basically reinvent yourself.

Get busy studying game and approaching then fake it till you make it. Count your progress in months/years, it's not a 2 week seminar.

It might also help to travel abroad - I was shy and barely getting laid in my 20's but 6 months in South America I've more than doubled my numbers. This was before I really committed to learning game, just stumbling around but with the right combination of environment and local girls / tourist chicks I had much less hurdles, bitch shields and LMRs to get through as well as feeling more free to be a better version of myself.

What do you usually say to a chick when you step to her that you’re getting immediately blown out by almost all chicks?

Also you’ve chatted to like 4 girls a week on average? Where and when are you doing this?

You don’t sound completely socially clueless but maybe you are just technically doing things wrong. Describe your usual approach and then you can get better advice.

Also beggars can’t be choosers, it’s better to work through some girls to get down your mechanics than to turn down everything out of some feeling of having standards.

You need to start eating food and you need to hit the gym.

It'll take some time but you will get there.

Women want to be with men who they can show off to their friends. Their mouth says "This is my boyfriend, he treats me well." but their mind says "This is my boyfriend bitch, I hope you're jealous." That's just the way it is. You have to bring something to the table.

Also try to break into the EDM music scene, concerts, raves, etc. You're at a good age for it.

So to sum it up: Diet, Gym, Dancing .

I don't think moving out while making 2,000 a month is a smart move. You have 15,000 dollars in the bank. A hotel room cost $50.00 a night. Finding a place to fuck a girl shouldn't be a problem.

Also...you need to drop your standards a bit, in my view. And the self-hate. You are an Asian male--the fact that you're only attracted to white 6s is messed up. And also kind of sad because this mindset will definitely hamstring your inner-Game/psychological/emotional development. You think that fucking or being seen with a girl who's not white or at least a 6 confirms all the most terrible things you think about yourself. That's bullshit, of course. You need to get to bottom of that and destroy it at the roots. You need to change your mind about yourself.

You're on the right path, so keep going. It won't be easy and you need to be willing to suffer at times--oftentimes--to make progress. Just remember to compare yourself to who you were yesterday instead of some archetypical Chad you have in your mind.

Move forward, each slow inch, and the gains will come---I promise

Well, if I was in your position chasing girls would be the last thing on my mind...

You should get your whole life straightened out and then start pursuing 7+ women. For now you seem to be more in survival mode/trying to make it mode. Well let's start with your priorities. If I were you, I'd take care of all your health issues immediately. I'm not a health expert but it seems you have some serious health issues that you need to conquer. I think something like yoga or meditation can also help in healing the body. There is even something called DDP Yoga invented by former WcW wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. Check getting your nutrition on point as well. But hey what do I know in regards to that...

In-terms of work it seems you stumbled upon something that could make you location independent. When it comes to dating your location is really important as well. If you really wan't top notch quality like you claim. Your gonna probably have to go the learn a foreign language and live abroad. Sure you can be successful in your home country, as a skinny asian guy its gonna be alot tougher due to male competition. I heard Asians are exotic in latin america, so maybe that could be something to take into consideration. Make it alot easier for yourself by eliminating the male competition. Especially if you have a lighter skin tone, it could definitely help.

Also some countries in eastern europe like Poland, Ukraine, and Estonia. You can look into as well. If you wanna stay in Canada you were thinking of either Calgary or Ottawa. I lived in Ottawa for a while and I can say there is a visible Chinese ethnic enclave over there. I don't know how the Asian guys are doing over there, but I saw a lot of asian chicks and white guy couple's. I didn't see too much of the other tbh.
Regardless, you should definitely get your work situation figured out as well. Do you wanna be established in Canada or be live abroad with a location independent lifestyle.

For your social life I think it would be better to make some positive friends that are moving in the same direction as you. If your a freelance writer maybe check meetup and hit up one of these meetup groups. Start trying to meet like minded people and network with them. One thing I enjoy doing as well is networking online. I believe in two things: You must network in person, and network online. Make some e-buddies were you can chat over skype and whatsapp. Have some healthy conversations since humans are social creatures.

As for woman for the time being. Since you lack a lot of intimate and sexual experience. I'd tell you straight up just focus on getting a girlfriend. Just get a girlfriend for the time being, put being a player on the back burner. Create some wonderful experiences with her, and enjoy yourself. So when you start dating multiple women, you already got something on your resume.

Get all other areas of your life sorted out and then go ahead and indulge in the depths of promiscuity.

Due to your race, and how you came across in the post, I would recommend joining Toastmasters, as Roosh recommends. It will improve your social skills to a good level. Hit the gym hard. StrongLifts is good. But you need a lot of protein. Over 100 grams for a hard gainer. For someone as low weight as you, you might even consider doing a gallon of milk a day to bulk up. Work on social skills and get good in the gym. You’ll then be able to gain respect from others and, if your worried about social circle, you should be able to get it in the gym by asking the experienced guys for a spotter or advice on techniques. Use the social skills that you will have developed at toastmasters. The gym guys you meet will be higher value on average, and good in the looks category, and likely they won’t be too involved with drugs and video games like your old friends. So my two recommendations: get better socially (toastmasters, Seinfeld) and go to the gym, make some friends and consume enough protein. Again, a gallon of milk a day might not be a bad idea if you want to bulk up, which I think you need to do.

I’ll give you a full rundown of my approach history.

2013: Went to community college right after high school. Because I wasted my entire high school career smoking weed and playing video games, I didn’t have the marks to get into a party university where I could live on residence and build a new social circle.

It was during this time, where I developed “oneitis” for a girl in my class. This led to me discovering “game” on the internet and that’s when I started spam approaching the girls on my campus and writing down my approaches. I can actually PM you my old approach log if you want.

When I say spam approaching, I really mean spam approaching. Like 10, 15, sometimes even 20 girls a day. When I ran out of girls to approach on my campus, I would go to the university or downtown and approach more there. I was like a machine who kept doing the same thing over and over again without knowing what it was doing wrong. It got to a point where I was approaching girls and some of them would say “you’ve already spoken to me.”

I run pretty basic guy game for the most part: “Hi. I know this is really random, but I just saw you walking/standing/sitting here and I thought you were incredibly gorgeous / beautiful / cute / have a good sense of style."

Most girls reject me right after my opener either verbally (thanks, but I have a boyfriend… thanks, but I have to run to class/work) or nonverbally (thanks, *continues looking at her cellphone/textbook/laptop*… thanks, *walks away*).

When a girl does stay to talk with me for a few minutes, I feel like I give off “nice guy vibes” so they always end up rejecting me after a few minutes with a “well, it was nice meeting you.”

Therefore, lately, I’ve been trying to implement more teasing, more breaking rapport, and more “asshole game” in my interactions, and trying to mix that with my usual nice guy game (e.g., talking about neutral subjects like school, work, hobbies, travel, and personality traits).

2014: Same old, same old.

2015: Transferred to a university out of town. Lived on residence, met lots of people. The only problem was that the university was in a small town, so daygame wasn’t abundant. That didn’t stop me from approaching like a mad man though. It was during this time that I started hitting the bars and clubs as well. Not much luck there either.

2016: Transferred to a prestigious party university in California. Probably the most memorable experience of my life so far. Walking on campus everyday was like walking in heaven: hot, young girls EVERYWHERE. Obviously, I just ran my same routine of daygame + nightgame and got very little results: 2 dates, both with hot sorority girls.

2017 till now: Finished my last year of university back home and been working shitty jobs ever since. Now that I don’t go to college, I’m no longer surrounded by girls my age. Instead, I work downtown, so everyday I’m stepping up to these middle-aged professional girls: Law court hotties, accountants, software designers… All these girls probably make way more money than me. Plus, they look so much more mature. Seeing a hot girl downtown who’s around my age sometimes feels like finding water in a desert.

Anyways, I don’t approach like a madman anymore. I used to walk around for hours on end just spam approaching girls. But now, I just talk to a few girls a day at most. For example, I might stop a few girls when I’m on my 1-hour lunch break (direct approach). Then if I’m lucky, there might be a cute girl I’ll sit beside on my bus ride home (indirect approach).

I know night game offers more volume. I went out a few weekends ago, and it was the first time I ran night game in over 2 years lol. Wrote a field report, but it’s like 3 pages of autistic blabber, so it’s probably not worth posting…

At the end of the day, words are pretty useless. After all, 90% of interaction is nonverbal. That’s why I want to buy one of those spy pens so I can start recording my approaches. Then I can post the vids here for feedback... Hopefully that’s not against the forum rules?

Yes, I’m scrawny as fuck. I’ve been lifting and stuffing myself with food lately. Sometimes, it feels like I don’t have a life: All I do is work, lift, cook, and eat.

In September, I was 131 lbs.

Now I’m 139 lbs.

All my lifts have been steadily increasing too.

So I know I’m making progress.

I feel like I could be getting more sleep though. Sometimes I’ll stay up till like 1 or 2 in the morning cooking and eating. Then I’ll have to get up at 8 for work. Then I’ll get home and be so tired that I’ll end up napping for like 2 hours. Then the cycle resets itself.

So I usually end up getting 6 hours of sleep a night + a 2 hour nap when I get home. It would probably be better if I just slept 8 hours straight.

I also started tracking my body fat and measuring my arms so I can make sure I’m actually growing muscle, and not just gaining fat.

Like seriously, I’ll see guys walking around with average girls, and I’ll think to myself, “I rather be alone than be with a girl like that.”

When I look back on my life, it seems like I’ve always preferred white girls, even during those times when I was unaware of race.

For example, all the girls I liked in elementary school were white. I don’t really ever recall being obsessed over an Asian girl.

Even most of my friends were white.

When I entered high school, that’s when I started becoming aware of racial stereotypes and all those racist Chinese jokes.

I started really believing those racist remarks and eventually, I came to despise all Asians.

“They’re nerdy. They’re losers. They reek up the hallways with their disgusting smelling food. They only stick to themselves. They don’t know how to assimilate into Western society.”

Those were the types of poisonous thoughts I had. And the scariest part? I was proud I had these thoughts.

I guess it sort of made me feel superior. Like I was born here and not across the sea, so that automatically makes me better. I have white friends. I know Western culture. Yeah that makes me cooler.

Looking back now, how foolish I was to think like that. How foolish…

The scary part is that even though I’m aware of all this, I still don’t know how to become attracted to minority girls.

My only plan is to continue torturing myself with nofap. Maybe after a long time, 5’s will become 7’s, and 4’s will become 6’s.

First, props for being open, honest, and detailed. Recently there has been a lot of guys coming in, stating their failed history with women, and then just throwing away all advice and going full MGTOW. So it is great to see that you are willing to consider advice. You're on the right path.

Here is what I would suggest.

-- Mindset: Work to remove all stereotypes and limiting beliefs from your head. This will sound like motivational garbage, but it is true: Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Moreover, you are now out of college, and free to blaze your own path without needing to confirm to a specific paradigm. The world truly is your oyster. As for being Asian, I'll say this.... I am white, and I know plenty of Asian guys who can outpull me any day of the week. It really doesn't mean shit unless you let it.

-- Health: Agree on trying to get 8 hours of sleep straight rather than 6+2, and you seem to be doing the right stuff with diet/gym. On the weekends, don't be afraid to stray a bit from your exact cycle of sleep/working out to go out and have some fun... you're 24, and you're only human. Otherwise you'll become like a robot/zombie. The reason why you get good sleep and work out is to enjoy life. So enjoy it.

-- Work: What you are doing is fine for now. At the end of the day, you want to find something that you're both good at, and that can make you money. Learning to sell (ie: "copywriting") is a great start since you don't think you're particularly good with numbers or coding. Sales will always be necessary. Any type of basic sales job can be great, since you are both building a useful skill, AND also expanding your social skills. It's a win-win. Feel free to join other threads about sales.

-- Women: A few thoughts here.
1) No need to walk around for hours daygaming girls. If you have some time feel free to do it, but in my view, "daygaming" for hours on end has pretty terrible ROI even for a solid player. You should definitely talk to women as you go about your day, but spamming malls isn't the best use of time. I'm personally much more of a nightgame person and would recommend it for a younger guy.

2) The easiest thing to do is to go to a club or a festival, solo, and then grab a beer and enjoy yourself, and talk to people that you see. If they ask who you're with, either make up a story that you're traveling across the country solo, or just own it and say that you've never really gone out much, but decided to check it out tonight. When I'm traveling solo and I go out, I open basically every girl with "I'm not from around here, where is the party?" or something like that. I rarely have a night where I don't meet people. You'd be surprised how many people are open to talk to a stranger.

3) Longer-term, try to find what you enjoy. You might like cocktail bars, you might like raves, you might like art galleries, or you might hate all of that and just like being out with nature. At the end of the day, the goal is to actually LIKE what you're doing to meet women. You will only find it by exploring many options.

Don't worry about being a virgin. I was a virgin till I was 25. (I'm only 5 foot 7 inches.) Finding this forum and the "manosphere" in general helped me tremendously. (Now I'm 30 and married with two sons.)

Some things to think about:

1. Move out, Get a room mate.

I did manage to have sex while living at my parents, but I often had to go out somewhere to friends houses. This obviously makes it harder to get laid, but it can happen. Honestly, you are probably better off moving out and getting a roommate. Granted its a bit of a risk, but it's worth it - especially if you can screen them a bit. Having a roommate will allow you a bit of disposable income which you will need.

It will also introduce you to a wider social circle and opportunities to get laid - assuming your room mate is reasonably social and has various friends that come over. Choose wisely, I suppose.

2. Lose your standards.

Yea I'm serious. Granted you still need to have some attraction to the girls you are trying to hook up with. When I lost my virginity, the girl wasn't particularly attractive. I didn't tell her I was a virgin and I was nervous as hell.

After that though, I got more confidence. This helped a lot. I ended up sleeping with some girls who weren't very attractive at all, but the confidence boost I got was invaluable.

Contrary to those who have become very discouraged think, girls on the lower end of the scale aren't exactly getting access to dudes they actually want to sleep with. Improve you're appearance just a bit and you increase your chances.

3. Don't focus on it 24/7.

Keep living your life, but put yourself in places and opportunities where you can meet girls. For the most part, avoid bars. Go to places where the number ratios are greatly in your favor. Dance classes. Yoga. Volunteer work for churches. Be smart about it.

4. Groom yourself.

Facial hair is a big one. From what I've seen with asians, most can't grow a full beard and facial hair is often patchy. I'd advise keeping a very low to low-medium stubble. (You can get electric shavers with adjustable 1-10 mm guards to do this for cheap online.) In general, this works well for most men and women like it. I'm serious.

In terms of pubic hair you dont necessarily have to shave it all, but keep it trimmed and under control in case the situation arises.

5. Don't worry about approaches and daygame.

When it's all that's on your mind, it loses the natural flow that you need for game to become an asset in your favor. Sure make some approaches, but don't sweat it if you don't.

Instead, focus on putting yourself in places where there are far more girls than guys. If you see a girl, maybe strike up a conversation, but be casual about it. You can't force attraction. Aim for the girls who show interest in you instead of attempting to game the ones that don't. Set your sights low, so to speak and you'd be surprised.

If a girl seems to really be into you, then get her number. (You'll be able to tell based on her body language and how she talks to you.) Don't do social media, just numbers. Get bold and unique. Call her.

You can do this.

Yes, I’m scrawny as fuck. I’ve been lifting and stuffing myself with food lately. Sometimes, it feels like I don’t have a life: All I do is work, lift, cook, and eat.

In September, I was 131 lbs.

Now I’m 139 lbs.

All my lifts have been steadily increasing too.

So I know I’m making progress.

I feel like I could be getting more sleep though. Sometimes I’ll stay up till like 1 or 2 in the morning cooking and eating. Then I’ll have to get up at 8 for work. Then I’ll get home and be so tired that I’ll end up napping for like 2 hours. Then the cycle resets itself.

So I usually end up getting 6 hours of sleep a night + a 2 hour nap when I get home. It would probably be better if I just slept 8 hours straight.

I also started tracking my body fat and measuring my arms so I can make sure I’m actually growing muscle, and not just gaining fat.

When I look back on my life, it seems like I’ve always preferred white girls, even during those times when I was unaware of race.

OP, you sound earnest and reasonably socially aware, so I'll give some advice that worked for me.

Fitness:

I started off in a similar boat. I'm not Asian but I was about 145 pounds soaking wet when I discovered our side of the internet. Over the past 4 years, I've gained over 35 pounds and finally look like a man.


I'm assuming you're gaming in the west. If so, you'll need to keep up that pace of eating. Gaining two pounds a month is good. Keep that up. Honestly, most girls will see that you're painfully thin and just instantly next you. It happened to me a lot.


Game:

I think most guys can give better game advice than I came, but I will say this: try to find some more experienced RVF dudes in your area. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know and seeing someone do cold approaches in real time can make things "click" that normally don't click with you. I'm one of those people who has to see things to understand them.

I did years of shitty approaches and felt frustrated until I started going out with RVF members who had it down. It gave me a boost and something to aspire to. Perhaps you need that too.

If you can't do that, then you should read the black man thread and ask questions. It's the black guys thread but it's also one of the best "pure" game threads on this forum. You really should become a student of that thread. I've been here 4 years and I still ask questions and read posts. If nothing else, it's nice to see that your issues aren't yours alone. Hundreds of guys on this forum have had similar issues.

I want to emphasize the fitness aspect that other guys have talked about.

In case you need some motivation, here's my journey. We're about the same age, and started at around the same weight. I'm a few inches taller than you however, so I needed to gain more weight.

My first inklings of game actually came from getting bigger. Girls started to approach me in the gym! My game was so terrible, it's a wonder I was getting laid at all. But just having the strength and the physique made it easy, and considerably boosted my confidence. Plus, the serious weight gain part of my transformation only took about 2.5 years!

Getting those first successes are huge. The lessons you learn from one success only lead you to more success.

So I graduated in 2017 with a useless bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Right now, I work random office jobs through the temp agency.

They always have work for me, and they always pay $15 an hour, which equates to about $2000 a month after taxes.

Put simply, I earn very little.

I’ve thought long and hard about what I’m passionate about, and of course, it’s reading and writing.

But how do you make money writing?

Well, I found out about copywriting.

So I completed a prestigious online course. Polished up my portfolio and created a website to showcase it.

Going to compile a list of advertising agencies in my area and start cold calling them to see if they need any freelance work done. Also been applying to some jobs on a copywriting Facebook group as well.

Pretty much going all in with my business. If it fails, I might go back to school for something stupid, but more employable, like digital marketing, tourism management, or public relations. I can also try applying to actual copywriting jobs, rather than trying to be a freelancer.

Because the way I see it is this: I suck at math and science, I can’t code, and I suck at working with my hands (trades). The only thing I seem to enjoy is reading and writing.

Logistics

I still live at home with my parents, which sucks, because they are super-religious and don’t approve of me bringing home random girls.

I’m currently in Vancouver, but am thinking of moving to a cheaper Canadian city like Calgary or Ottawa.

So step one is to understand that you come first, and bitches come second. Step one will probably take a while (I've been working on it for a few years, and I'm still not there). In the meantime, you can start step two, which is find something else to occupy your time. With your medical, I'm not sure martial arts is the way to go. Something gentler like Tai Chi, maybe.

By portfolio I don't know if you mean actual work you did for clients, but I would recommend getting on Upwork and building a really good profile (just reverse engineer one of the top freelancers) with good reviews from clients. When employers see that you have solid client reviews/testimonials on a third party site (Upwork is the biggest freelancing website), they are more likely to acknowledge your skills.

^ And yes, get a job. Building any sort of halfway legitimate business is going to take time. Not to mention it will help to have legitimate experience working for a company later on when you might want to go and do your own thing (connections, industry experience - e.g. knowledge of problems and how they could translate into a business, name brand recognition if you work for a solid company, etc).
