Happy Thanksgiving, gents.

In case you couldn't guess, WIR2 is an SJW love fest. I'm probably only getting 80% of the message myself, but highlights include:

- Strong male protagonist literally saved by a crew of Disney princesses who stuff him into Snow White's dress before he's kissed by a frog.

- The Sarah Silverman character gets the Disney princesses to stop dressing like princesses and dress more like the slobs we're used to seeing every day.

- Cool characters and characters in positions of power are all women. Male characters include a sleazeball, a criminal, nerdy librarian, personal assistant, and criminal flunkies. Black female character literally runs the most powerful site on the Internet.

- In some ways the movie is one big ad for leftist Silicon Valley targeting your kids -- major plot points revolve around eBay and Google and Snapchat, Pinterest, etc., all make an appearance. I have a funny feeling that Disney will be mysteriously exempt from the upcoming wave of Internet censorship.

- A relationship of uncertain nature between the Gal Gadot character and the Sarah Silverman character. Gadot's character runs a criminal gang and takes Silverman's character under her wing, and the two sit on the hood of their car and look at the city from a spot in the hills.

- Male protagonist beclowns himself in order to white knight for his friend...

- ...who leaves him anyway because she's tired of her literal Candyland existence, and wants to move to the gritty, dirty, crime-infested city in search of EXCITEMENT! and NOVELTY!...

- ...and the male protagonist responds by trying to destroy the city to keep his friend from leaving him...

- ...but his efforts backfire and interact with his insecurity and almost destroy the Internet.

Just wait once Fox is absorbed, a lot of other properties (heavy TV productions) to push new cultural marxist values.

All this ramping up for new tools with streaming Disney+, joining another, Netflix whose gone 100% all in with aggressive pushing progressive narrative in their own produced shows.

At least they failed this year when they pushed diversity into a Russian Folklore movie (Nutcracker)

It's up to consumers, families with children to show to disney this SJW agenda isn't right, they are still a scared company that goes aggressive if its "family image brand" is targeted.

Conservatives, Middle America and Families with children should make it clear to Disney, that this isn't family friendly future.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that. They are running several "scripts" concurrently.

-Anti-white homogeneity (really homogeneity of any kind)
-Anti-masculinity
-"You-go-girl-ism"
-Black animosity
-etc.

Each group is targeted just in different ways along different mediums. Which is why everyone seems mad about something.

I realize protagonists have to be given room to grow, but Simba was a pretty ineffectual character in the original. Pretty much the epitome of an arrested development soyboy. He ran away from his problems and it was Nala who convinced him to man-up (both in fighting scar and to lose his virginity).

That's pretty nth-wave feminist SJW as it is...up until the moment when he grows a pair. In a complete rewrite, there's hardly a need for Simba at all, and it would be better to (implausibly) turn Nala into the warrior.

Once the actors got to be a certain age, they could fight or were big enough to get the men to back off, but with new young boys coming in for every film, it was a never ending cycle of sexual abuse and no one did anything to stop it.

I saw this movie over the weekend mostly as an excuse to have some quality time with my daughter.

You have to go back to the FIRST movie to find an agenda rather than looking just at this one. Remember that the opening scene in the first movie had him in a therapy session. Ralph represents a toxic masculinity stereotype (at least physically). Likewise, Fix it Felix represents the virtuous beta male that society wants to frame as the ideal. The film's messaging suggests that it's far better to aspire to behave like the nice-guy Felix than loose-canon Ralph.

If there's something lacking in cinema these days it's any advice on how straight males can get the girl. The rom com is pretty much dead and Hollywood is so fixated on diversity and gender/race swaps that straight males are being relegated to second-fiddle status.

I really liked the first Wreck it Ralph, in large part due to the 80s retro component, but now that I'm red pill I can kind of see the larger societal backdrop: how sex roles and relations are irrevocably broken in 2018.

Ralph was never given a love-interest. Vanellope is really more of an adopted daughter or kid sister. And in this movie, his life literally revolves around her in a way that makes you wonder whether he has any libido whatsoever, whereas Felix, who looks like he doesn't have a libido, winds up (improbably) hooked up with Calhoun, the ball-busting butch warrior played by gravelly-voiced lesbian Jane Lynch.


I know it's a comedy, but...seriously?

There's nothing wrong with the message in the second film that Ralph should stop being clingy. But Ralph is left at the end not having any interest in broadening his social life. He's just resigned himself to regular Skype calls with Vanellope. So he's still a simp with no life of his own and is kind of living like a worn out retiree. He's just cut loose Vanellope so she can have a life, but he has none.

I can relate to misfit protagonists but Hollywood is so busy trying to subvert and invert societal norms and coddle/reward being a misfit that it doesn't really have anything useful to offer people who want to live traditional lives, which includes, ya know, getting laid.

Speaking of sex, the movie doesn't even acknowledge that internet porn even exists. I know, family movie and all, but they could have at least shown a red-light district and not gone down there.

I have a feeling the writers were trying to come up with a humourous twist ending where for once the female characters save the male character (WIR 1 had them both save each other) but they kind of failed. And not to forget Ralph literally saved the entire internet and Vanellope before the Disney princesses saves him, so again they both help each other

No, they showed him becoming scared and desperate about losing her. It's actually very logical when you think about it. 20 years with no friends in the first movie, then suddenly a loveable kid comes and forms a deep friendship with you, and is the only person who you truly love deeply. I also had this feeling too when transitioning schools. This had nothing at all to do with SJWs wanting males to look stupid. Ralph didn't look stupid at all, he looked vulnerable which many of us can attest to feeling at some point in our lives

Which isn't the point. Movie draws a parallel to the real life situation between when people have dreams conflicting with their current situation, and arguments between friends which hurt both parties feelings deeply. Plus, if you even paid attention to the movie it shows she still thought about him while wanting to stay and was concerned about his feelings and even afraid of losing him as a friend.

I used to be an entertainment reporter. High-level actors and actresses get talking point from the studio. She's spouting propaganda that she probably didn't even know about a month ago.

This crap is written by PR shrikes to play into whatever the issue-of-the-moment happens to be. Today it's "toxic masculinity." Tomorrow it might be "vaping and teens," which seems set to become the new hysteria.

I have come to the conclusion that when the smaller studios died and major studios started pandering to a global audience, movies devolved into simplistic propaganda. This clip seems to prove me right.

In fact, the entire theme of most movies now seems to be "white man bad!" so this one is at least a variation on that, since it's saying "all men bad!"
