Day Bang recommends this as one of the items in the GALNUC routine. It however seems to feel weird for a few reasons.
1) I am 28 and like to date girls that are 21 or so. It seems to me that an exchange of age can only hurt.
2) The old adage about not asking a girl for her age.

I would be curious about what is the marginal benefit of doing GALNUC vs. just doing GLNUC.

I learned GALNUC from one of Roosh's workshops last year, and had similar concerns...I'm also late 20's, and regularly hit college night events with girls in the 18-22 range.

I decided to try the age question routine anyway, and after many times using it, I'm a fan. I've never had a girl act weird at being asked her age (bearing in mind you don't use this until the interaction is going somewhere), and any time the age gap has been too big it came up long before I got around to running GALNUC.

Case in point: last Winter I hit it off with a 21 year old, ran it not sure how she'd react at the gap. She laughed at the punchline and then asked my age, I truthfully answered...and she said "oh that's not old at all" with a smile. That one led to a one night stand.

I've also had awkward approaches on girls where the age gap was a problem...but those usually die in the opener or right after, so nothing to worry about for this.

If you find yourself wondering if the girl is too young, one thing that helps me is to modify the routine slightly and instead of telling her my age when she asks, I have her guess and just roll with it, as they'll usually guess exactly what they want to hear.

You shouldn't ask a girl her age due to "old adage". The real reason why you shouldn't ask a girl her age is because you shouldn't care if she meets your true criteria. Demonstrate this with your behaviour.

They will ask you youre age and you can ask them at the same time. Dont be shy about asking their age. You should be able to guess age anyway. No wrinkles means under 28. Ask if shes in college, and if its undergrad or grad. undergrad means 18-24ish, grad school means 23-30 ish (absent wrinkles). Grey hair - over 35 usually. If she looks under 22 check her state ID before her clothes come off! Ive checked ID and wouldnt take the chance if a girl wouldnt hand it over!

Does anyone have experience on the reverse situation? I'm 22 and find myself usually in place with girls in their late 20's. At night, I don't worry about it because by the time I tell them my age, there is usually a strong rapport established so it doesn't disturb the Vibe too much. During the day though I typically get more shocked reactions.

I'm 32 and have picked up younger than 23 and ran the A without problems.

Just try it out 10 times and see how it goes. There's no firm right or wrong answer, but get out in the field and see what works best for you. I feel like this question is being asked by those who haven't even gotten to the stage yet. Don't be worried about "failure"... this is a learning experience that takes time.

Agree with Roosh there. I think you're really nitpicking here, taking one letter out of the equation, i.e. the age isn't going to massively impact your game if your running it well. The only way to see what works for you is experiment, as Roosh says, try it ten times and see what works best for you.

I am also getting to the stage where I am tweaking it to my own game and personality. I rarely if ever use the G in GALNUC, if they're half German etc. I stuck rigidly to Roosh's formula originally, and I lost interactions because of it. But only through doing this did I work out what suited me best.

I think in a post he wrote a while ago, he said that a guy's game is like his DNA - unique to him. So true, but you can only unlock the code to your DNA so to speak if you experiment.
