I'll outline the reason I am skeptical. However I trust you guys know more than me.

I look similar to him(Asian, hippyish) but I seem very close to strictly better. I don't want to sound like a hater, so please read in a matter-of-fact voice.

-Facially, I'm more attractive than he is.
-I work out and although I'm not jacked as such I look athletic and defined.
-Fashionwise my clothes are significantly better than his.
-Similar height.
-While I am broke by Kiwi standards I can show girls a much better time than he can.
-I approach virtually every girl I like with no anxiety, which is on par with the quality he pulls.
-I am skilled enough in the London Daygame Model that I can consistently draw girls in in engaging conversation EVERY time, unless she flat out doesn't participate/engage back. I cannot obviously tell what his "game" is but statistically it's gotta be worse.
-I'm young and he seems decently old.

Yet if he pulls even half the girls he took pictures with he's well outperforming me. I know many guys who are into taking photos with girls. If I wanted to take photos with girls like that and not bother banging them it seems easy enough. So to me it seems likely that's the case.

I'm going to go deep on an important factor: they don't care. You tell me you do all those things to be more attractive, they don't. They just enjoy whatever they have. Coming from a society full of rules and people trying hard, a lot of girls find that careless attitude attractive, at least for the brief time they are on holidays.

You can't be a semi successful well groomed men on a big city and play on the same field. In fact very few men in a big city could pull this kind of thing. There are always exceptions, like the well known "struggling artists" but still, those kind of guys tend to be very well known in their alternative social circles.

@Ten Feet Tall it was not only about being exotic, being perceived as filthy rich was just as big of a factor. In my first trip to Cusco, i met some of these guys called Bricheros who were really funny, cool and have decent game.

A few years ago, i was clumsy about game and pick up community, but bricheros showed me that game exist. It is true that they bang 4 to 6’s western backpackers, but you should consider that these guys are so ugly, short, have no money.

There is a big market for beach bum game in every touristic destinations. Those hippie western girls "discovering themselves" wearing trippy pants, doing some drugs and just waisting life in the tropical paradises. I have seen it back home at Mexico in some of the surf spots I used to visit with my friends.
