Is India progressing? Rapidly and while it may not be a superpower by 2030 I think India will be a pretty decent option in 12 years time.

While I may not have been born in India nor my parents, I am mighty proud to call myself Indian (by ancestry) and every time I revisit I am filled with immense pride at the progress being made and I am overjoyed that the next generation of Indians won't have to listen to similar feeble sneers from WRTs.

The injustices of the east indian company and the future per capita GDP of India aren't really germane to people trying to get in to hotel rooms or fruity smells for the traveler on the ground, I would suggest.

Reality is there are different subcultures in every place. The overall performance of Switzerland is drastically better than the performance of a place like Moldova or a white trailer park in the Appalachians. Similarly there are parts of India that completely fit the stereotypes and other parts that are generally pretty successful.

bojangles post about the Gujarati master race is BS. The average Gujarati and the average Bihari (the worst state in India) don't look that different from each other. The difference is mostly culture, economic conditions, education, local political situations etc. Some parts of India have some of the best universities on the planet, others are shitholes that function the same way as the Jim Crow south.

Some ethnicities were also straight up favored and protected by the British. Mine was one of them. British colonialism was weird in that it helped out some groups (and gave them the education and social status to succeed both in India and in the west) and utterly fucked over other areas. That's why it's stupid to claim that colonialism was universally good or bad.

The heartland will be employable when educational standards there improve. It's not H1Bs that are ruining that region's prospects.
