Watch What You Text
Sometimes when you're around chicks in casual situations, you become privy to some of the behavior they exhibit when you're typically not around.

Yesterday just happened to be another one of those times for me when I was at a chick's house to get a haircut along with a few of her friends and her younger sister, so they were talking up a storm about men.

The younger one was talking about how some dude was bothering her, and then she started to read verbatim some of the shit dude had texted her.

Quote:Bitch Ass Dude: Where have you been these past few days? I haven't heard from you at all...

Her:I told you I've been working.

Bitch Ass Dude:
If you can't keep regular communication with me, then I don't see what's the point of me talking to you. Just forget me, lose my number.

Her: Thanks for doing me a favor, but please keep in mind, you're the one who's always called me.

Bitch Ass Dude: I just don't deserve to be treated this way, I'm much nicer to you than you are to me.

At this point this girl all the girls are cracking up, calling dude a bitch, etc. I had no sympathy for this dude, especially given the fact that she said she had never even fucked the dude or spent any real time with him.

Point is, watch what you say on text. Girls have no problem sharing with each other the shit you say and then collectively laughing at you for it.

Yes...Keep texting strictly to logistics
Even if you're not writing something as bad as your above example, some girls will happily share your texts with their friends only to demonstrate how much (supposedly unwanted) attention they're getting and how desirable they are. Same goes for facebk messaging.

RE: Watch What You Text
This is good advice. You can never know who the girl is sharing your conversation with, but always remember to never say anything you wouldn't be comfortable with everyone else seeing. However, in my experience text game can be extremely effective with the younger girls provided the conversations are short and as effective as possible. As long as they're not trying some long winded shit test or using you for attention/validation.

Whatever you do don't let a friend borrow your phone for longer than the phone call they needed it for. I found out the hard way. He borrowed it, while I was talking to a girl, he was talking to the girl I was text gaming (always have plan b right) sending her the most beta shit filled with winky faces. I get my phone back to a text message saying "I'm not the town bicycle im not going to fuck you" replied telling her that I only ride tandem bikes then I told her my friend was just jealous I was hitting on this cute girl and said *grunts ALL HUNNIES MINE *POUNDS CHEST. MAKE ME A SANDWICH. she said I was funny. I told her she owed me $5 dollars for the entertainment. She said she'd pay me in backrubs, the next day she texts me wondering when we're going to go clubbing again.

I disagree with keeping texting to logistics, from my experience at least it just takes way too long to get a straight answer of when she's free or if there is hesitation (there are some signs in texts, usually easier to spot if you've been texting before). Nothing pisses me off more than when it takes 5 texts to get an answer about anything. A few minutes on the phone I find is a quick and easy way to gague their level of interest at a certain spot or even if they're going to flake or not. And if there is hesitation its easier to convince with your voice rather than a text where things can either be misinterpreted. With the phone you're forcing her to make a decision then and there as opposed to waiting an indefinite amount of time for a text back.

Yet another reason I never log onto facebook. About a year and a half ago I deleted 400 "friends", best decision I ever made. Whenever I log on (once a month or so), I'm always the guy making wise cracks.

Well.. that's what i mean, save the seduction/charming b.s. for the phone...ie setting up the date. And then possibly use text for finalizing the when's/where of your meeting, once you've already set a day etc

if i'm not mistaken, it's Roissy's recommendation that you shouldn't text anything you wouldn't want appearing on a Jumbotron screen at a baseball game

This took me a while to.understand but I've learned most times the best text to send is not ending a text at all.

Precisely. It's probably the best mental device for keeping the content of your texts proper. Though I often apply the "logistics only" rule and rarely try to build attraction over text (because it's near-impossible with a girl you don't know), I always apply the Jumbotron Test.

In fact, those are your top three texting rules right there:

1. Jumbotron Test
2. Logistics Only (or Mostly)
3. Don't Try to Build Attraction Over Text

Continuing, I'd say these are up there too.

4. Don't Overthink It (She's Not)
5. Minimize Smileys and Exclamation Points
6. Don't Seem Over-Eager by Replying Immediately

I usually reply to texts from girls after 1-2 days (I call if it's urgent). Drives them nuts and puts her in a different petting when she receives my text.

True indeed. I learned that when a friend left a girl a message on her answering machine back in the day. Harsh.
